View 2 RepliesThis is a simple fine line crosshair which ALWAYS extends the full screen width and height. Excel users seem to be stuck with the little box cross. A full screen crosshair for Excel would allow one to instantly and easily see which row and column the cursor is on without clicking a cell or following from the cursor to the row/column with your finger on the screen. It may seem trivial, but once you have used a full screen crosshair, you just don't know what you've been missing.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have an excel workbook that I would like to
a) appear more app-like, and
b) show more data in the available space.
I do not want to go too elaborate by hiding (remembering and restoring) control bars and I reckon the View Full Screen is pretty much okay for my purposes.
I am currently invoking View Full Screen on Workbook_Activate but hitting the ESC key returns to normal view. I can already see my users hitting the ESC key for various reasons and ruining my master plan.
Is there are any way to prevent unintended ESC from Full-Screen or otherwise lock in the full-screen mode until revoked intentionally by macro (shortcut)?

I have large workbook with various sheets. In my first worksheet I have some command buttons that call each sheet as needed. However, I would like each sheet to be displayed either as a web page or in a way that the user does not see all of the menus, bars and so on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis might be extremely easy, but why my Excel (nor Word for that matter) doesn't go to full screen anymore? I'm pretty sure that I haven't used any options, I do have a new graphics card, but all the other applications goes to full screen. I have restarted my computer. Basically I think that it's either some option, or then reinstalling Office.

How can I make excel go to full screen (Alt-W-E) as soon as a workbook is opened and then revert back to normal view when it is closed? I already have this code in my workbook_open event just in case that will affect the answer:

How would I do that?
how do i achieve maximum full-screen mode in excel 2007....
i would like if only main menu tabs are visible (File|Insert|Page Layout...etc)...
Also is it possible to hide the numerics and alphabets numbers of Rows and Columns??
My workbook operates in full screen mode simly to make it looks a bit nicer. I have some + - buttons that call a macro to change the scale of the axes of a chart (sort of a zoom effect). For some reason, whenever I run these macros my workbook exits out of full screen mode.
Here's an example of the zoom code:
ActiveSheet.ChartObjects("Chart 115").Activate
ActiveChart.Axes(xlValue).Select
ActiveChart.Axes(xlValue).MinimumScale = 200000
ActiveSheet.Range("a1").Select
I had a spreadsheet with 17 photos on, one in each cell. I had to resize so you can see them all on the screen. If you have some pictures that are resized to fit in cells, is there any way to double click (or hover?) them and make them actual size or full screen when you want to view them in detail?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have created a spreadsheet and wanted to originally see if I could save as a separate format (that makes it more like an application than an Excel spreadsheet). Having investigated, I found that full screen mode pretty much does what I want, however you can restore the menus by pressing ESC or selecting restore down. Is there a way of preventing users from exiting full screen mode, I could add a close application button for them to use instead.

After the 15 lines have been completed, I would like to begin adding new data to sheet 2. However, I'm not really sure where to begin in terms of setting up a counter and then calling sheet 2 once the counter hits my limit. Sheet 2 is exactly identical to sheet 1 in layout and also has 15 lines.

I'm copying large amounts of data from one full sheet in one workbook to the sheet in another book.
Everything is now automated, except that it asks in between books if I need to keep the Clipboard data.
I'm trying to place a pivot table in an existing sheet in order to have a list of names next to a P&L. I've got several criteria to filter the names, but when I apply the filters to the pivot table, not all the people show up. The weird thing is that the total at the bottom of the pivot table, which is a simple sum of time in a given month per person, calculates the correct number as if all the employees are there.
When I do the same table in a fresh sheet, in the same file, it shows correctly. It's only when I try to put the table in an existing sheet that it abbreviates the list.
I'm using a bit of code (below) which is not amazing but which does seem to work, the idea being that entering a number then the active cell relating to that number will be highlighted and the sheeet position will "goto" it to move it into view on the screen. I have adapted this from something in one of my old Workbooks, and I admit it's probably a bit messy!
The problem is, it doesn't seem to always put the returned active cell in the same place, sometimes it's nicely central to the screen, but at others it's right at the top. As the numbers corrrespond to the top line of each little area of 30 rows, I'd like it to to come about 10-12 rows down. I can't seem to get this to work!
Code:
Sub FindSection()
Dim nm As Integer, txtnum As String, Found As Range
txtnum = Application.InputBox(prompt:="Enter a Number")
Set myRange = Worksheets("T&M SHEET").Range("K:K")
[Code]....

When I pulled up a workbook today with 3 sheets in it, all that comes up is the first sheet and the sheet tabs at the bottom of the screen are no longer there. How do I restore the view that shows the sheet numbers at the bottom?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have found these three different ways to separate a full name in say column A row 1. But when i insert different cells into the equation i get lossed. What is the proper way to separate a collection of full names into first middle and last. Do you highlight the list and put in one general equation or do you have to repeat these steps for each individual name in each cell?
First Name
=LEFT(A1,SEARCH(" ",A1,1)-1)
Middle Name
=IF(ISERROR(SEARCH(" ", RIGHT(A1, LEN(A1) - _SEARCH(" ", A1, 1)), 1)) = TRUE, "", _LEFT(RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1) - SEARCH(" ", A1, 1)), _SEARCH(" ", RIGHT(A1, LEN(A1) - SEARCH(" ", _A1, 1)), 1) - 1))
Last Name
=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-LEN(B1)-LEN(C1)-IF(C1="",1,2))
I would like to enable my user to search on any one of about 4 columns, when the result(s) are found I need to return the full row to a result form. I've had no problems getting the information from the form to the worksheet but I've run into a few problems now. I should be able to be able to return the rest of the row with the result if I can determine a way to return the row number. Anyway these are the things that I need (in a nut shell):
1. Return a row number
2. Pass values to a form who should be able to change according to the size of the array
3. Have an array of variable size, with variable headers.
I have weeks in format YY-WW (this week is 09-18) and wish to calculate the full date for the week commencing day for that week. '09-18 is in cell S8. To work out the date I currently have: =DATE(LEFT(S8,2),1,RIGHT(S8,2)*7-8)-WEEKDAY(DATE(LEFT(S8,2),1,3))
Which I thought was working fine, but turns out to be the WC date for 1909. I'll probably have to change the -8, that's not a problem, but I can't work out how to get it to 2009.
I have a macro which searches for the latest date down a column and across particular rows. Extract of the code is shown below:
