VBA Equivalent For Shift-Arrow Keys
Nov 7, 2007Does anyone know the VBA equivalent to using the Shift-Arrow keys on the keyboard? I am wanting a macro to do this for me. Specifically I am wanting to use Shift-Arrow Right.

Trigger A Macro On Arrow Keys
Apr 24, 2007I'm creating a small Excel RPG where the player moves the around a blank worksheet with the walls of a maze appearing as you approach them (think dark corridors, you can see only 1 cell in all directions around you).
The players current location is shown by excel setting the activecell to the players location. Currently I have four buttons labeled Up, Down, Left and Right which the player clicks to move in the desired direction.
The testers were frequently missing the four movement buttons and this would put the activecell outside of the maze next to one of the buttons. They'd have to move it back manually.
I would like for the players to move around using the arrow keys to use the activecell, as you would normally move around a sheet... but before each movement there is a procedure that check IF the player can move in the desired direction or not (cell borders used for walls), and then once they've moved there are more procedures to check for monsters treasure chests etc.
How can I make the arrow keys trigger the macros that the Up, Down, Left and Right buttons currently trigger, and not just move the activecell?

May 23, 2008I am relatively new to Excel 2007 and my arrow keys do not navigate cell by cell. When I press the right or left arrow keys, my entire screen shifts to the right or left but the cursor STAYS in the cell where it was. Likewise, when I press the up or down arrow keys the screen shifts up or down but again, the cursor remains where it was. Is there an option somewhere that I need to change?

May 4, 2008Have a file that I have been coding and find when I open to a worksheet with limited access cells, the Up and Down arrows will not move vertically though Lrft and Right arrows OK though not raping arround. Excel 2010 :: Vertical Arrow Keys Moving Out Of The Cell When Editing It
Aug 5, 2014I am having this weird problem. The work laptop I received with excel 2010 does not allow me to use the vertical arrow keys when navigating through multiple lines when editing a cell. When editing the cell and I press the up or down arrow key, instead of moving to the next line within the cell, the cursor moves to the next cell. Is there a way / an option to have this fixed?

May 13, 2009I have a problem with a spreadsheet I am working on, and I'm not sure if its something I've done, or whether its corrupted.
Basically, Column A is Hidden and not Locked in the protection tab of formatting. The other columns are Locked and not Hidden.
I used to be able to use the arrow keys to scroll through Column A, but this now doesn't seem to work. I can select the cells within column A with the mouse and I can scroll with the mouse and the scroll bars, but I can't move between the cells with the arrow keys, enter button or tab button.
Does anyone know what might be causing this, or is the workbook corrupt?

when I am on a excel sheet I can not seem to move from quare to square qiththe arrow keys.
It just now takes me all the way to the left or all the way to the right and not from cell to cell from left to right.
I know its something rather simple yet I can not seem to figure this out.
I have no problem with this on 2003pro.
Lookup Wage Calculations (calculate Pay Per Shift Dependant On The Type Of Shift)
Dec 1, 2009I have the basics set up, but need to work out how to make it calculate my pay per shift dependant on the type of shift i have worked.
I have attached a screen shot of the current page,
In it i have currently used validation drop boxes for the location and worked columns with tables just to one side of the sheet.
The shift pay is the column i am having trouble with.
I would like it to change dependant on what is selected in the 'worked' column.
For most things it should just display basic plus holiday, however if supervisor is selcted in the work column, it should display basic plus holiday plus supervisor.
Calculate Pay For Shift Work With Different Rates Based On Shift Hours
Apr 11, 2008a person works for certain hours and get paid according to the hours worked either by day or by night or a mix of both. Day payment is $8 when worked between 08:00 and 19:59 , night payment is $12 when worked between 20:00 and 07:59. The excel cell are formatted as datetime with yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm , the function works fine in getting the time information and checking whether the whole work is all day or all night , yet the if-then-else statements for calculation seems to be wrong!!
examples:
start = 2008-01-01 09:15 , end = 2008-01-01 11:40 , all day as it is between 08:00 and 20:00 and cost = 8/hr = 19.333
start = 2008-01-03 21:05 , end = 2008-01-04 02:05 , all night as it is between 20:00 and 08:00 and cost = 12/hr = 60.000

Start Shift And An End Shift
Nov 18, 2009I have a Start Shift and an End Shift time,
Start Shift = 2009/11/10 09:27:06 (GMT-6:0)
End Shift Time= 2009/11/10 15:13:03 (GMT-6:0)
eg. Total Time = 5.3 hrs
I would like to take if from this format, and calculate the total time difference. Sometimes the GMT codes may be -5:0 if that means anything. For the cell "Total Time" I only need it to have a decimal format.

If I used the KeyPress (Function in Pascal), I could evaluate which key was pressed and compare it to an array of options. For Example:

Convert Degrees Into Cosine Equivalent?

I want to convert 26 degrees into 0.8988. when i use my hand calculator i type 26 in then press cos and it converts it to 0.8988 which is correct, but when i try to use the excel cos function it gives 0.646919322 which is in-correct.

In the code above 'crng' is the criteria range, 'sValue' the criteria and 'srng' the sum range (which follows the normal SUMIF function within a worksheet). Both the 'crng" and 'sValue' values contain text, / and numbers.
note that other elements on the userform code look at data on other worksheets (not sure if this will effect this).

Now I want to find the values of "TCT-C" column in sheet1 (for each range of 6 rows that the "B Code" is match) which corresponds to the row number that "TCT" in sheet2 is maximum (again for 6 rows). The point is, I need to shift to another series of 6 rows in sheet2 once the "B Code" does not match.
