OK i have put the membership cards on the same sheet as my raw data so to make the formulas easier. On the membership card i have under membership level i have the formula : =VLOOKUP($J$3,A:E,4,FALSE)
there is 3 types of level bronze, silver and gold
what i would like is if the level is gold after then an image to be placed in the cell rather than the word gold and a different image for silver and a different image for bronze.
Is there a way to have image box display an image with a name matching data from a cell? example: if I type "hello" in cell a1, Image box will load image named "hello". And display new images by changing the name in cell a1. Note: the images will be located in a permanent folder.

The issue I am having is that the value isn't an exact match so it is returning line 3 with a value of 315 rather than line 1 and a value of 313. What am I doing wrong?

If no customer number than I want to do a vlookup based on dunnage number to return the price. This is what I have for a formula but it never returns a value if one is found in the first lookup.

I have a cell with a drop down box in C4. When 'Star' is selected, I would like C1 to show a picture of a star. When 'Moon' is selected in C4 I would like C1 to show a picture of a moon and so on.
I was just hoping I could do a simple IF formula or vLookup; but it just returns a 0. Are there any simple ways that I could get it to pull in the pictures?
For further information - there are 14 names I want to do this for (like star, moon etc). For my test I had the 14 names in columns and next to them the pictures.

I have three columns of Vlookup data and three columns with a Vlookup formula. I need a fourth column to look at the three columns and see which ones are returning no value (cell with #N/A) in them and then return the cell that does have a value in them or the first row that has a value in it. The values are actually NAICS title descriptions and not numbers.

I need to link an image to a cell value and display the selected image in a new sheet of the same excel. I am attaching samplefile for easy reference. The requirement is, from the workout sheet when I select from drop down list, then the corresponding cell value appears in Parameter sheet in C9 cell.
There are four images copied in Parameter excel. The given image has to be selected and linked to the C9 cell value. Based on the selection that particular image should be shown on Sample Picture sheet. Here based on the selection only the image should reflect here.

My sheet has an image in Cell A3 based on the SKU code that is inputted in to D3. All of my images are stored in F:Images I will have about 500 SKU's that all need images and will be named the same as the SKU I enter in to Column D.

I need to lookup data from four different columns to match a value in another sheet. The lookup value has to start with "4" in order for it to be the correct match. I've tried the following formula for just two columns:

The problem I have is that the wildcard function isn't working in my If statement (apparentley that's how Excel was designed). The first vlookup returns the value "40042565" but Excel doesn't show it matching the criteria with the wildcard ("4*").
Any way to lookup the value in C2, search through multiple columns, and return the value that starts with "4"?

I have a list of parts that I have to create in a system. It is easier to do if I create a list of materials ahead of time of what components are needed. What I have done is create a part list that contains a list of parts, what the cost, whether they are manufactured or purchased, and what the sub component is if they are manufactured.
This worked great till I ran into my first sub component that contain its own sub components. I am attaching the spreadsheet so everyone can see what I am doing or more to the point trying to do. IF VBA is a better solution that would be great.
What I need is a formula (or VBA if it is better) that brings back the sub-components and their sub-components for each part until the parts tree for the original part number reaches the base purchased sub-parts.
I have the 1st worksheet set up in three different ways. The first one you run into is simply a length calculator and can be ignored.
The second way is the original way I had the spreadsheet working and it works fine for parts with only one sub-component. If a sub-part has more than one sub-component then it doesn't work.
The third section is where I started building what I thought would work, but it is clumsy and only will work nicely if I can place an IF statement that will only bring back a value for a sub-component if one exists otherwise it will remain blank.
What I would like is to have a formula that will auto fill the information IF and only if it exists for each sub-part listing all sub-components ( I need if it exists, cost, whether it is manufactured or purchased, any and all sub-components [followed by the same information as the parent] and vendor).
My workbook simply has multiple columns of data which will be summarized visually in a tag cloud (I have the tag cloud part taken care of already creating either a jpg or png, I simply have to change the extension within a batch file to change between picture formats)
I need to have the tag cloud image display and update depending on which column the user would like to summarize (for now I have simplified the issue by only having one of the data columns in my workbook, and will worry about the user selection of the data column to be summarized later).
My Main Question:
Focusing on the image display and updating now, whether it be an ActiveX Image Control or any other way. I've been playing around manually before I try and code it and I can not get either a jpg or png file to attach to the ActiveX control (both of which cause an Invalid Picture Message).
The file name can stay the same if need be and for now I think/assume that'd be easiest (I have my Tag cloud generator just replacing the previously existing image file of the same name).
Would ActiveX control be the way to go for this dynamically changing image?
I am looking for a way to take the picture name associated with an image ie: (picture 571) and place that picture name in the cell next to the image.
I can see the picture name - it registers in the top left box that usually indicates the cell the cursor is on... and I could manually type that name next to each image.
However my spreadsheet has several thousand rows- each with several columns of information and an image..
I am looking for a way "formula?" to automatically read the image in cell J4 and populate cell K4 with the image name... and so on.
The reason for my request... is I am importing products into a web based shopping cart... to do so I have to export the products to a csv and import that csv into the shopping cart. The process of exporting to a csv- strips away all the images and leaves just data.
I found that I can save the document as an html and that process creates a folder with all the images- saved as (picture 571.jpg) if the resulting csv had the image name... the shopping cart would then look for that image name in my image file and it would populate into the shopping cart appropriately.
This seemed on it's face like a really simple thing to do, I have plenty experience with excel & I thought I'd be able to make cell k4= j4 and tada it would glean the image name & I could simply copy that formula all the way down the sheet & it would be done... but I just cant find the magic button that freely gives up the image name...
I have 2 sets of criteria, column B and D, both are ranked in column C and E respectively.
Cell h2 and h3 have the minimum requirements so I essentially want to add onto the RANK formula I have so if a person does not meet the minimum rank cells will return a null value.

Example: I am measuring performance of individuals. If they deliver below 50% I can return the value "Needs Improvement". If they deliver Over 60%, I need to show "Excellent" and finally if they deliver between 50% & 60% I need to return the value "Good".
I am not sure how to show 3 values.
I am working with data that has numeric values in columns S, T and U. In column M I want to return the header of the column that has the largest value (S,T or U).
Here is the formula I am trying to use:
=IF(OR(S2>T2,S2>U2),$S$1,IF(OR(T2>S2,T2>U2),$T$1,IF(OR(U2>S2,U2>T2),$U$1)))
The problem is that it only sometimes works properly. I have found instances where the value in column T is greater than S and yet column S's header is still returned. What am I doing wrong?
IF the first letter (i.e. left most letter) in any of the cells in range F7:F17 is "R", return its content to cell L3 and put a line break between each (i.e. create a list within a single cell).
I've read line breaks can be put in by using &CHAR(10)& but can't get a full formula to work.
