A Macro To Search And Change A Cell If Criteria Is Not Met

I have gotten good modifying existing ones to fit my purpose but still have a lot to learn about creating them. I would like help in creating a macro that would search out several sheets (JanD.....DecD) and search for names in column K and a location name in column L. If the contents of the cells do not meet the criteria of name and location then I want the name to be changed to "OTHER".

If I have encountered with such a column whose title is "Time in seconds" then it will not search this column...What i want is the modification of this code such that it can detect column which contains any part of "Time" word in it ...

I am trying to add up all values from the cell above the search criteria. Although sumifs does work well, it wont search the entire sheet, it only works in specified rows.
Also, the problem is that the values to be added are determined via a vlookup based off of a cell whose value is chosen by a drop down choice.

If I have a 'key' value in a cell in one sheet, i want to use that value to find the cell in another sheet containing the 'key' and return the row number of the cell, if more than one value then I would like to be able to loop through all the rows containing that 'key' value returning the row number of each hit, kind of a programmatic version of vlookup?

I would like for C1 to search through the data in A1 and see if it contains a match for any of the zip codes listed in column B. If it does than I want it to report the zip that was matched and cell in C2. If there is no match then I want it to return the value, No Match in C2. I need the whole column B to be included in this code.

I have a file that needs to copy/change and paste data if column H has the following 3 abbrev but each of them has its paste criteria. see details below.
1) In column H, if abbrev ="Prod 10", insert 9 rows and then copy and paste but the codes in column G of the copied rows need to change to different numbers.
2) If abbrev ="Prod 4", change the code of the following 3 rows to 44298.
3) If abbrev ="Prod 14", insert 13 rows and then copy and paste.
Is it possible to have a macro to do these tasks?

I have a workbook with many many sheets in it. The first sheet contains a single column with about 10,000 different values. I'd like to use each of these as search criteria against ALL data in the other sheets (of which there are a good 50 or so). If matches are found (they don't have to be exact case), then I'd like two things to happen:
1. The rows containing the matched search criteria in the first sheet are highlighted.
2. In the cells adjacent to the search criteria in the first sheet, hyperlinks to the matched data are created and named after the sheet upon which this matched data appears.
I've attached a sample file to this post with ideal sample 'answers' to queries made of the first 2 terms.

Search Column A for a name (using an array if possible). If it finds this name, add a string of text to the AA cell on the same row that it found the name on.
For example,
If in A1 it finds the specified name. It then adds a string of text to AA1.

I am new to VBA and am having difficulties in getting a find function to successfully locate search criteria within cell. When the search criteria matches exactly that of the cell contents then the code works; however should the search criteria only form part of the total cell contents (such as a seach for "the" in a cell containing "the cat sat on the mat") the code doesn't recognise it.
Essentially, I need the code to search a range for the required string and if found within a cell activate that cell and populate a combobox with the full cell contents of the activecell.offset(0,-2).

I have a series of data that I am trying to process based on various criteria and though this site I have solved most of the (simple) problems I had. I have one last problem to solve.
I need to add the previous cell to the next one based on a cell value in a different column.
Example: I want to add F2 to F3 if H3=3 but I need it to work so that if H4=3 it will add F3 to F4 and F3 now equal the new value i.e. (F2+F3). If H5 doesn't = 3 then F5=F5. I need the output to be a value not just an equation as I plan on going back and deleting all rows with H=3 in them.
P.S. I don't mind if the output of the calculation of the F column is to a new column or overwrites F. Overwriting would be easier for when I go back through and delete rows based on H=3.

I need to conduct keyword searches in excel and color the keywords a different color without changing the font color of the entire cell. now, i found some code from another thread that does this, but i cant seem to get it to work with more than 2 keywords. i need fine-tuning the provided code to do what i need it to do.

I was playing around with the example, the Cat_Mouse.xlsm, and when i modified the 'myList' and 'myColor' arrays, it does not work.

For example, I modified the code to add the word bat:

When i run the macros, the word "Bat" does not become colored red. interestingly enough, when i substitute the word "bat" for the word "hat" in the "myLIST array, the word "hat" does change to the red font.
I am looking to use this code to address keywords in my excel file by coloring all key words red and i have more than 10 key words.

I have a worksheet that when a row changes based on the value of column B, I want to remove all of the formulas found in the row but keep the existing values, and then change the color of the row.
In the sample file attached, when the value is "Closed", that row will keep the existing values and then it gets grayed out. Rows that are still marked "Open" need to retain the formulas in case other information changes.
I have tried copy/paste special using autofiltering but that doesn't work because of the hidden lines. This file changes on a daily basis and I need a quick way to update the file.

I have a workbook with two sheets (Sheet1 & Sheet2). Sheet1 has license #'s in column A and the state that the license belongs to in column B like this:

I'm trying to write a macro that will compare the license # and state in Sheet1 to the license # and state in Sheet2. If it matches, append the contents of Column C to the corresponding row in Sheet1.
Here's the thing...Sheet2 contains the entries for all licenses in the company (so this table is HUGE). And there are multiple entries for each state license # (notice how there's two entries above for AK license # 11111 - one for the Property line and one for the Casualty line.
After my macro is run, I want Sheet1 to show all the lines-of-authority on a single line. So if I ran my macro on the above example, after it's run I would have this in Sheet1:

1st - Need a macro to change a range of cells colours based on a single cell having a value greater than 0.001. ie. cells A1 - G1 need to change to grey based on cell F1 having a value greater than 0.001 entered in it?
2nd - Also a macro for deleting the text contents of cell C1 based on cell F1 having a value greater than 0.001. Therefor if cell F1 has a number greater than 0.001 it changes the colour of celss A1 - G1 and also deletes the text in cell C1?

I am trying to write a macro that is able to take a "Part ID" from a column on Sheet "Temp", search sheet "Parts" for that "Part ID" in Column A, copy the corresponding description (listed in next column B) and paste that description into a third sheet "Sheet1" Column D. I would then need to repeat for all lines in sheet "temp"
I could most likely use an IF statement to do the search, but I was hoping to use excel's search function to make it quicker as there are over 1000 parts. For example:

I am trying to get a code which searches each row for a keyword, and then assigns a value to it depending on what group of keywords it is.
For example, if the Name or Comment mentions certain fruit keywords, I want it to assign the value: "Fruit", and if it mentions certain vegetable keywords, I want to assign it "Vegetables", and if it is unrelated to either, I want to keep it blank. If the name/comment mentions both fruit and vegetables then I want it to say "Error".
Since the keywords I am using are mostly two letters, I want the search to only search for the two letters on its own, and not as part of a sentence. e.g. if the key word is ED, I don't want it to return a value for "I rested". Instead, I want it to stay blank.
i.e. I want the code to take information from column A and B, and assign a value based on the keywords in column D and E. As an example:

The formula I used so far is this: where C3 is the first value

In columns D and E I put a leading and trailing space between each word to only search for the keywords themselves, and not as part of a word. (e.g. ST is correct instead of haSTe).
This formula seems to work only for 60% of the information, problems occur when the keyword is at the end of comment sentence: the value is blank. e.g. in row B4 of the table I made above my formula returns a blank.

I would Need a macro which would Search a Keyword in the excel sheet and copies and pates the data in Cell "A2". for Example "Market" and then after the search it copies 12 rows upwards and 10 columns from the Cell that the word "Market" is placed. And then it copies 12 rows downwards and 10 columns from the Cell that the word "Market" is placed.
I have tried recording the same but it does not work if the Word "Market" is placed in different cell value.

Basically, I need to reformat a set of data (see before and after). A specific column should only contain 1 value, if there is more than 1 value it will be separated by a comma. If this column contains more than 1 set of data then I would need to insert a row and duplicate the information based on how many different sets there are. All the copied data should remain the same with the exception of the "Key" column, it should only have 1 value and each copied row should contain the corresponding value in the key field.
BTW - it could be on the same sheet or a different worksheet (doesn't matter)

Three cells - A1:A3. If A1's value is modified, I would like to have some sort of event macro that recognizes the change and thus initiates and clears the values of cells A2 and A3. Basically I don't want to have to user-initiate the macro...but have the actually changing of A1's value initiate the macro.
