Activecell As A Referance To Delete The Selected Kit

I have been trying to use the activecell as a referance to delete the selected kit. _Though i need like + 2 columns to xlToRight.
Then i want to select the data below the deleted kit and cut paste it to the orignal activecell.

I am new to VBA and was just wondering if there is logic behind this or am I doing something wrong....
ie,
1 Cells(1,1).Select
2 Activecell.Copy
3 Cells(2,1).Select
4 Activecell.Paste
The above doesn't work but if I use the same above 3 lines with
4 Activesheet.Paste
it does work
What is logic here as to why it can't paste into a newly selected 'activecell'?

How to select the TextBox that is placed on the activecell without referencing

Excel 2007. I have a graph (bar) on a seperate sheet from my data. Data has been dumpted to Excel from Access not all fields (cells) are wanted to be graphed. HOWEVER 2 fields (cells) need to be displayed on the graph in a text box Along with text. So I need the text box on the graph to look like this
sits in ares = 3
where 3 is a value on worksheet "Data" and cell S3 (=Data!S3). so how to I combine this text AND a cell reference into a text box.

I'm prompting the user for what two ranges they want to keep in a excel sheet and then I want to delete the rest of the columns. There may be 5 total columns and there may be 30, it will vary. The reason I want to do this is because I will then save data to CSV file and it can only have two columns of data to be passed on for other data processing.

I'm trying to write a macro that if a 1 appears in column N (1 may appear more than once & the sheet continues forever) then to hide that particular row.
I will also then have a seperate macro to delete the entire rows where 1 appears.

My data is in one column as follows:

What I want to do is to delete the blank cells and count how many not-empty cells.
The following sub works fine if I put the active cell manually in A1. However, the first range select always give me the "1004" error. Why? I don't have any clue.

I can use Find to find all all my rows where there is an "X" in a cell, and delete all the rows found that way (even if they are separated by other rows) in one fell swoop -MANUALLY. I use Find after having limited the area to be searched with a named array (so other "X's" don't get involved).
But when I record a macro with all the same moves, NONE of the Find code appears in the macro AT ALL....just the delete command. Hello? Relative reference (on the record macro toolbar) seems to have no impact.
So....the mission here is to delete entire rows wherever an "X" has been entered in a certain cell to mark the row for deletion...and those X's get there either through a DV list OR by a cell below the DV copying down the X from the DV cell above.
This is so because sometimes rows are "sub" to the one above, and if the one above is marked for deletion, then so must be the rows sub to it.
I have found this seemingly simple for...next loop here on the board:
For a = 1 To 50
If Cells(a, 17) = "x" Then
Rows(a).Select
Selection.EntireRow.Delete
Next a
But the debugger reports a "next" without a "for" which is obviously there in dark blue as I suppose it should be.
If I could make this puppy work, I would sooner have it start from A2 and then go down from there to the last row -wherever that happens to be.

i have this macro that currently looks in column J and if a cell contains "Total" it deletes the entire row.
Now what i need is to check in same column but i need it to delete the entire row if any part of the sentence in a cell within column J contains "Main Total"

I've got a sheet that I build from a weekly sheet. I can have 30 to 60 rows, but I always have 10 to 20 rows left over with data in column C, none in A, my last code is "Range("A1").End(xlDown).Offset(1, 0).Select" which takes me to the last cell in column A. Any code that I can then delete say 20 rows after that? I tried one code, but it wanted to delete everything below the cell selected which ran & ran.
"-" are blanks. Range moves the selected cell to A4. I want to delete row selected + 19 more.

it's possible to select a group of cells, or a column, and then have specific words (and the colon), like Email: Tel: Fax: and URL: found and removed?
I've got a list of contacts one after the other in a column like this

Here's the situation:
I want to search through the cells in a column to locate text in one of the cells. If this text is found, I want to make that the ActiveCell and then insert a row underneath it. If this particular text is not found, I want to insert a row and put that text that wasnt found into the first cell in the created row.
I trimmed down my code a lot so I could post it here.
So, in this particular case, once the user selects one of two product lines (named "ADC" and "DAC"), I want to first search for that text and if it is found I want that to be the new activecell and insert a new row.
The main problem is that I can't seem to figure out how to set the "Foundcell" as being the new active cell. My initial activecell is set by locating and selecting the cell containing the text "Product Line".

I want to use the following command but with more to it:
X=0
Y=0
Z=10
ActiveCell.Offset(rowOffset:=X, columnOffset:=Y).Activate
I want to use this type of command to highlight an area...not just move rows/columns. I want it to highlight from a point on the sheet marked by X and Y and then down Z rows.
So if I'm in cell A1 and want to highight from A1 down to A10, I'm not sure how to write that part of the code.

I am working on a sub that will populate a cell based on the values of two other cells.
The ws is of variable length, the columns are A through I. I have the logic done, now I need help with the looping. It only loops through the first row. I have put a rectangle shape in a cell in excel. The shape is within the border of a particular cell.
Is there a way to find the reference of the cell on which that particular shape resides.

I have a spreadsheet that automatically analyzes the last week's worth of data and then displays a table of summary data from that analysis in the range C2:G11. Each row (i.e. 2:11) represents the statistics from one of the 10 regions in the state. I then have a second "details" table which remains blank (it occupies the range C14:G20; one row for each day of the week) until an "x" is typed in Column H in the cell adjacent to a region's summary data above, e.g.
if I want to display detailed data for region 4 for the last week, I would type an "x" in cell H5; formulas in the blank "details" table then lookup information on region 4 from a larger dataset. This system works fine, but is a little clumsy (typing "x"'s and deleting previous "x"'s, etc.).
Here's what I would like:
1): A macro for this sheet that will place an "x" in the ActiveCell (only in the case that the active cell is somewhere in the range H2:H11), will remove that "x" when that cell is no longer active, and will not place more than one "x" at a time-- for instance if more than one cell is accidentally highlighted
2): Also, I would like to be able to paste the values and formatting of the "details" table (C14:G20) to a separate sheet (we'll call it Sheet2) if they're interesting, and I'd like to be able to do this with a command button. The problem is I don't know... 1: how to place a button on the sheet, 2: how to attach code to this button, 3: where to place this code (can it go in the same place as the ActiveCell macro I described earlier?).
Ideally, the code would allow me to paste an arbitrary number of these tables to Sheet2, so the code would need to be able to identify the first blank cell in Column A as the location to paste a new table when the button is clicked.

I've got an application where I switch between workSheets and the mouse stays in the same location. As all of my actions are predicated on mouse right-clicks or double-clicks, the first thing that I have to do as move the mouse back to the active cell. Is there a way to reposition the mouse to the activeCell upon returning to the workSheet?
