Aug 4, 2009I am looking for help. Sheet1 B1:1 has dates in each column in ascending order for one month. There are missing dates in between the days and they might look like this.

Is there a code that will insert columns with the missing dates between the dates that already exist so that example 1 would become example 2?

Insert Rows With Missing Dates
Nov 27, 2007I have a sequence(or a series is more proper) of dates(without the hours) for. exapmple: 10/22/2007,1025/2007,10/25/2007. What I need is to insert rows with the missing dates. I found a VBE code for a macro which does the work but now the problem is that in some rows the dates are the same and if I have two times 10/25/2007 it adds the row with the next date after the first one and all messes up.

Aug 9, 2008i have a time series of data at one hour interval ( from 6:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs ) each day and again from 6:00 to 18:00 hrs next day and so on for several years. in this series many data are missing. i ve to fill in these missing data in such a manner so that the new values becomes the linearly interpolated values in between the data given at any two hours. no rows are allowed to be inserted in between 18:00 hrs of the previous day to 6:00 hrs on the next day. pl see the attatchment.

Sep 17, 2009I have tried many different ways of coming up with a solution of this problem without writing a VBA program, however, Excel's date and time formatting scheme seem to be tripping me up. As a result, I am trying to figure out what direction to go.
I have seached the board up and down looking for a solution and I have found one problem that is midly similar but I do not fully understand the code. I have tried to modify it but to no avail.
Here is my problem:
I have 9 columns of data that are reported in 15 minute intervals for a little over 3 years. There are missing data in the data set and it would be infeasable for me to manually find and replace the missing data. (Over 110000 rows of data)
Example of data (Where "/" delienates column seperation):

So what I need to do is this:
1) Find which data times are missing
2) Add the appropriate amount of rows in between where the missing data would be
3) Add the correct dates to the new rows
4) Add "N/A" to the columns that have no data
You can see that my date and time are formatted in mm/dd/yy hh:mm

Auto Fill Dates: The Sheet To List The Dates In A Column For Each Month Automatically
Jun 17, 2007I have a sheet with a date and the number of months on it which will change. I need the sheet to list the dates in a column for each month automatically: e.g. Two cells contain date “jan07” and the period “10” months. The rows A1 to A10 should have jan07…jan16 listed automatically. If I change then change the number of month to 11 I would like the rows A1 to A11 to update automatically.

Nov 8, 2012I'm trying to make a simple chart, which maps the value of an investment fund over time. I wanted to use the new 'Table' feature within Excel 2010 to format and maintain the formulae within the Table, and the 'Header' for the table contains the date, which is not at regular intervals.
If I opt not to use the Table feature, I can create a line-chart with ease, and Excel recognises that the Dates are indeed dates and plots the graph correctly. The minute I convert over to a Table, the Date headers are no longer recognised as dates, and are instead plotted as if they were text, at regular intervals.
I've tried multiplying the Date Headers by 1 to force them back to true Dates, but this still does not work. I've also changed the setting on the horizontal axis to Date axis rather than automatic, but still no joy.

Oct 21, 2011I am in strange situation where I have a data with Invoice Dates. These dates are in Text. However, when I convert it into reall excel dates. For some reason the dates do not come right. convert my text dates into excel real dates. I did a lot of google search and apply these three methods but all of these gave me strange result I was not expecting. These are the methods I used and the result of each method.
Method 1 : Using Text to Column Wizard (Excel 2007)
I highlighted invoice column and went into text to column wizard. I clikced on Date button, and selected MDY format. Strangely enough, my result was day, month and year i.e. DMY which does not seem right.
Then I press Control ~ on this data as shown in second view.

2nd Method - Using formula to convert text date to real dates When I used formula, I get the following result. As you can see, formula is converting text dates into different system dates than the first method.Further strange things is when I take these system dates i.e. 4283 and in 2007 excel format use "Short Date" the same system date gets converted into wrong year as shown in the second view.

Similarly, I tried other methods or copying blanks etch but none seems to convert text dates into real (system dates).
Pick Range Of Dates And Find Number Of Days Without Sales Between Those Dates

A2 to BF2 is a range of dates
A3 to BF3 are sales. Days without sales are 0.00
I want to pick a range of dates and find the number of days without sales between those dates. So, a formula that will look to a start date in A1 and an end date in B2, and then count the number of days that did not have sales between. Index/Match/Countif/Dateif I can't seem to make anything work.
Missing Status Bar
Aug 14, 2008I have done the two obvious checks regarding my missing Status Bar, both in View and Options and still the Status Bar refuses to show itself. I have shut down Excel with the options unticked hoping that on restarting and ticking them the bar will re-emerge but still no joy and also done vice-versa. how to get the Status Bar to reappear?

Missing Tab In Spreadsheet?
Mar 3, 2014I have received a spreadsheet by email and when I opened it the formulas all had errors. I did a little investagating and found that when I use the viewer to open it there is an additional tab that is missing when I open it in Excel. I did check for hidden tabs but then realized that the formula would have still worked even if the tab was hidden, in this case it is just missing.

Missing Link
Dec 7, 2005I have a hyperlink in my excel file which refers to cell in a separate excel file (which no longer exists). I therefore would like to remove this 'dead' link as it keeps trying to update it when I open the file.
I don't remember where this hyperlink is in this huge multi-sheet file so I can remove it! How do I have excel show me all hyperlinks and the option to remove them?
Missing From One Or Another Sheet
Apr 16, 2007I have 2 spreadsheets. One has one type of info and another has another type of info for the same items.
For example:
1st spreadsheet has: server name, serial number, model.
2nd spreadsheet has: amount of memory for each server, number of CPUs, etc.
Note that some servers are missing from one or another sheet. So all info needs to be combined.
What is the easiest way to combine all info in a single spreadsheet?
Missing Values As Non-zero
Jun 9, 2007I am facing a problem importing Excel data into a finicky graphics program. This program can't accept strings and numbers in the same column. Hence, strings such as #NA, or Excel's standard "" can't be used where there are missing values, as the entire column is then ignored.
But, I would like to provision for future data below the rows that currently exist.
Let's say I am trying to read data from Sheet1 of a workbook. The rows in Sheet1 contain formulas referencing other sheets (e.g. Sheet2!C1-Sheet2!C2). So, if Sheet2 doesn't have data in a certain row, Excel would show 0 in the formula on Sheet1. That would mess up my graph. If I use any other string or "" using a If statement for missing data, then the graphics program doesn't work.
Is there any way say, using dynamic ranges or similar, to populate blank cells in Sheet1 as data arrive in Sheet2, without a pre-existing formula being present in these Sheet1 cells? I can imagine that VBA macros will easily do this (e.g. the thread on Autofill below). But, is this possible without having to trigger a macro as and when additional data arrive?

Missing Rates
Jun 24, 2008i have a bunch ofdaily rates back from 2005. sometimes ill have one or even 2 or 3 missing rates in a row. when there is a blank rate, i just want excel to calculate the average of the date below and the date after. right now, ive just been going manually to each missing date's rate and calculating the average.

Oct 2, 2008I have created a 4 page chart in landscape with text in each of the 4 columns in the chart.
When I looked at it in print preview the chart did not fill the page and so to widen the last 2 columns I dragged them over to the right hand margin. I am still definitely within the right hand dotted line showing the margin limit.
The problem is that I cannot now put a border line down the extreme right hand column. Every time I click on any of the border instructions in the Font tab nothin appears on the right hand side of the box.

When the code fails it highlights the word " Date" inside the brackets

Missing A Reference
Apr 25, 2007I have been working on a pretty extensive Excel Workbook for quite some time, finished it today after testing it multiple times, everything was working fine on my PC. But after I pasted the document on one of the network drives at work, I started getting compile errors. I am getting these errors on basic functions that I used in my code such as Date, and the Left and Right functions. I figure I must be missing some sort of reference...the error I am getting is (Compile Error: Can't find project or library).
I can't understand why everything worked fine on my computer and as soon as I paste it on the network, the application blows up for my coworkers.
Colors Missing
May 4, 2007For some reason colors will not show on any EXcel doc. When I type colored text in a cell, it shows the color until I press enter, then it goes black. Cell fill colors do not show at all.
However when I send the doc to another computer the colors wil show.
