I want the user of my macro to be able to see what he/she has entered as a response to an input box. So far the only input boxes I can get to show are very small and seem appropriate only for inputing maybe a name or date. I need them to be able to see perhaps a 10 sentence input so that it is easy to review their input and modify it if necessary...how to make the input area much larger is my problem.
Is there anyway to increase the size of dialog boxes in excel? I am vision impaired, when I go to "format cell" I have a problem reading it. If I could increase the font size, wouild make mt life easier.
I'm building a keypad out of commandbutton controls, and there's this strange resizing behavior with the commandbuttons. I've attached an example, as it's much easier to see than describe.... but essentially, clicking a button seems to enlargen it slightly, and then two clicks later, it 'dezooms' back to original size (even with shadows turned off). while this is not hugely noticeable individually, it feels really strange when there's a whole keypad of commandbuttons.
I am running windows XP SP2 with Office 2000 SP2 I have a spreadsheet in Excel and I have one cell I'm trying to wrap the text in so the text will fit in the cell but it's not working, some of the text is hidden in the cell unless I drag the cell block way over to expose the text contents.
I am working with 4 seperate workbooks where 4 different people enter data into cells. I have a 5th workbook that needs to have all the data from the 4 individual workbooks bought across so I can see all data. Like a master file. basically, in each cell of the master, I have the following code. =IF('[loans - 0708 - officer 01.xls]07-08'!B5="","",'[loans - 0708 - officer 01.xls]07-08'!B5)
I then have the code for each officer. As there are 24000 lines collectively for the financial year, the size of my master is 37mb, even when its empty, obviously cause each cell still have a formular in it. Is there ANY way to copy across the data from other workbooks without having to have every single correpsonding cell have this kind of formular to view the code? Also, copy it without having to open the other workbooks.
I am preparing a very large spreadsheet of text. Once I reach a certain point (a few paragraphs?), the program stops wrapping the text. All of my text is visible in the box at the top of the spreadsheet when I click on the cell. I double checked to make sure it's set to wrap, which it is. I tried merging two cells, no change.
I have tried all possible ways to make the entire text appear in the cell. I changed the cell sizes by dragging the row and column margins, changed text-general format and a lot other things but it appears that excel does not even know I have text in the cell. I also entered ALT+Enter to add a line break. Nothing happens. The text remains the same way. Dragging the margins only feels like uncovering the hidden layer of text under it.
if there is maximum number of characters in a cell, above which wrapping and the row height auto-fit functions will not work? I typed a paragraph into a cell and have the cell set to wrap and the row height to auto-fit but it does not display on print preview or on actual printing past a certain character in the cell. Even when I manually increase the row height, it still does not display.
If I want to write some text in a cell but am not sure how much I am going to write, how do I set the row hight to auromatically expand to fit the text I enter? I have tried row height auto-fit but that doresnt seem to work.
Image size appears in button(msocontrolbutton) of custom toolbar Excel 2000 is very small and blurred using below code. How I can increase size of image in button (msocontrolbutton) as well as brightness of image in custom toolbar? I am able to increase size of button using width and height property but image appears in center of button as 16X16. How to fit image to button(msocontrolbutton)?
Const cImgCommandBarID As String = "TMC Img Toolbar" 'Image code Dim cbImgBar As CommandBar
Set cbImgBar = CommandBars.Add( Name:=cImgCommandBarID, Position:=msoBarTop)
'cbImgBar.context = 1000 Dim cbImage As CommandBarControl Dim imgTool As Shape Dim sFileName, ImgSheet sFileName = ActiveWorkbook.Path & "ImagesABC.jpg".....................
Rows a1:a10 are merged and the problem is that all cells next to these are now not wrapping. I remember reading that when a call is merged this is what happens to the cells adjacent, but is there any code that can help to wrap these adjacent cells?
I have text of size 14 and 18 mixed in cells in a column. Cells are font size 18 or mixed with both 14 and 18 size text. I need to sort out the text with one column of size 14 and another of 18 only. I am thinking of copying and pasting the column twice and run a macro in first column to remove the text of size 14, and another macro to delete text of size 18 in second column. I need the leftover text to be in same rows.
I tried everywhere and couldn't find a macro for mixed text cells. I am using Microsoft Excel 2010.
I am using Office 2007. I have a cell that is set to wrap the text. Only thing is when it goes over 273 characters or so it no longer wraps and all I see is ###########. Is there a text wrap limit? I don't recall there being a limit. I tried making the cell height larger but that didn't work.
I'm looking to set up a spreadsheet whereby individuals answer questions and have to format their answer using a particular font, colour, font size and so on. The idea is that I can then compare their answer sheet to a pre completed one using an =IF function and get a total score. The only problem is =if and =exact only lookup cell text/numbers and don't look at how the text is formatted within them.
I have a test due in the morning, and I really need this question answered ASAP, if anyone could. I need to create an IF formula for this situation: the standard Mhz is 500. Give 55.00 for that standard. But for every increase of of Mhz, give 25.00 per 100 increase.
I have a text box that is set to "=B1". B1 is a cell from an Access table import with memo format. The text memo is long, probably on average between 1000-2000 characters. I have set up the text box to automatically resize for the text, but the text stops at what I assume is 255 characters, even though cell B1 displays the entire memo.
How can I set it up so that this text box (or any other similar shape) displays the text and retains its resize/wrap property?
I have a sheet with four listboxes on it. All four have their source on the "Lookup" tab - Lookup is very hidden and is zoomed at 100%. Every once in a blue moon, the text in the four listboxes will shrink to be very tiny. The listboxes themselves will stay the same size, but the text inside shrinks.
Starts off looking like this:[url] Somehow ends up looking like this: [url]
I compared the two pictured files and the properties of the listboxes were totally identical for both.
Each time this has happened, it's always been on someone else's computer (fifty people each use a copy of this file), so I don't have many clues as what is going on when this happens... Does anyone have any idea how to prevent this from happening, or how to restore a file like this instead of replacing it?
Before i start and to save you time looking at my profile, i am using excel 2010. So i have one worksheet with loads and loads of Combo boxes (form control) that are linked to a cell on another sheet and that sheet uses the linked cell along with a index and match formula in one to fetch data from a range for my chart. So based on the selection of the combo box option the chart changes.
My question is how do i change the size of the text in the Combo boxes (form control)? Is there any VBA to do this? .Font.Size?
If not i don't mind changing all my boxes to Combo boxes (activeX control), but i do have over 100 so what would be the best and fastest way to change all my current Combo boxes (form control) to Combo boxes (activeX control) whilst keeping everything the same so it all still functions. Maybe some more VBA? Plus i also need to be able to change the size in the new Combo boxes (activeX control) as well so telling me how would be splendid.
when i use a macro to add a comment to one of my cells, if i put in too much text the box doesn't resize itself and you can only read part of the comment. how to resize the comment box to the size of the text i put in?
