What i want to do is to look up of the value of home and away games seperatly. if there is no match for the lookup i get the "N/A" and if there is no value i get "0". If i get 0 the formula will calculate as a lost game.

I'm trying to use this formula but I get the error "too many arguments". How can I do the same as the formula without an error:

I added in the VLOOKUP(B12,VALVESFILTERS!A12:E2000,3,FALSE) - when I used it without that it worked. But I have 3 sheets I need the the VLOOKUP to look over and this formula that I copied off another thread only had 2 tabs.
I have been using an IF,ISNA,VLOOKUP formula as follows which I am sure you are all familiar with :

This formula works correctly, displaying the lookup value for K7. My query is between the"" I can place text to display when K7 is blank and this works correctly too. However I would like to place a formula in here. The formula is VLOOKUP(I7,Orig!A7:B35,COLUMNS(B7:B35)+1,0 i.e. the lookup value is now I7 and not K7 when K7 is blank.
I have tried the following and variations based on what I know but they return errors.

I'm trying to get data from another tab, but only if it is greater than or less than a certain number. Here's what I'm using but doesn't seem to work.

A13 is targeting the name of the person
Aim MTD is the sheet tab the info is in
And I want to select the information only if the cell value is 22% or greater. If the cell value is less than 22%, I don't want it to read or to read zero. I'm not an excel expert (yet), but hope to be one day!

The problem I have is when I come to use this within a vba macro I'm writing the wildcard section automatically gets spaces added so it goes from "*" to " * " and excel doesn't like it! The code I'm using to write it into the cell is simply:

I have added an attachment, The formula begins at J44 to AY44 but when date has entered in the red (D44:D67)section I would like to retreive values for blue section(Q44 and onwards) and not the yellow section(J44 to P44)
This is so when players make a transfer it doesnt include the weeks before that date!!
Is there any way to combine the VLOOKUP and IF Statement formula's into one
formula or is there any other kind of formula which does both?

I've almost got what I need for a mind bending series of sorts that go from worksheet to worksheet. I need to add ISNA along with the ISBLANK above.
I have 2 spreadsheets. Both have a list of part numbers on. Beside each part number i want a formula that tells me if the part number is present in both spreadsheets so its says TRUE. If its not present then FALSE. I've tried using this command but it doesn't seem to work properly =ISNA(MATCH(B2,A:A,TRUE))
I've attached the 2 spreadsheets. Spreadsheet1 is where i need the forumula placed beside the part numbers so if its present in Spreadsheet2 as well it displays TRUE beside the part number in Spreadsheet1.
I have a client/sales sheet where I keep outstanding and paid bills information.
I want to get an indicator cell that shows if a bill was paid Y, or Not paid.
Since cell. However, if there is no invoice I want it to show,... nothing.
I used the invoice date cell C4 to see if there is an actual invoice. I thought the following formula would do it. However, if the invoice is paid and the outstanding amount W4 is 0.00 it returns a N, as Not paid????
C4 (date of invoice)
W4 (is amount due - payment =U4-V4)

Is there a way to use sumif on blank cells. That is I only want to add the contents of column Q provided the Column I corresponding rows are blank. I used this formula but it didnt work =sumif(I:I,ISBLANK,Q:Q)

Now I need to use a macro to activate and deactivate the conditional formatting due to performance issues.
When the formula for data validation includes the indirect funtion I got a compile error and the macro won't run.
H4 is a date/time stamp I have saved as a macro. Returns 12/28/2011 10:47:00 AM.
I4 is the same macro and returns 12/28/2011 10:48:00 AM
J4 calculates the difference between the two (I4-J4), but only recognizes business hours and business days (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)
I only want J4 to calculate if I4 is NOT BLANK.
These are in a table so J4 is trying to calculate when there is data in H4, but not I4, and returning a large number like 981583.22
When I try to apply IF(ISBLANK) logic to the formula in J4, I get an error that it exceeds 255 characters, even though it works fine if I am not trying to put the IF(ISBLANK) logic in.
Here is the formula in J4. I want it to automatically calculate if there is data in I4. Otherwise, I want it to return 0.

Is it possible to combine Vlookup & Max?
In column A I have product codes some of which are repeated, in column B I have costs for the relevant product codes.
I want to vlookup the product code on another sheet, then Columns A & B picking up the cost in column B but if there are mutiple entries I want to pick up the highest cost out of all the entries with that product code.
I have a file with two work sheet, in 1 sheet have monthly allowance to staff in 2nd sheet I need the data in a schedule format. Please see the attached file, my formula not working here properly.

My problem is that on one sheet(BlkPick) I have Rows containing headings(Location Names)and a column containing Product names. I wish to lookup the corresponding value contained at the matching intersection on another worksheet. I have searched this forum along with google and found that INDEX & MATCH are what I should be combining with Vlookup and these work when used on the same worksheet but when I test using say MATCH alone I get an error when attempting to MATCH my result from a different worksheet.

I have a workbook with two sheets that I need to combine some of the data from. Sheet1 is a template to be used for translation purposes on Sheet2. I would like to put Sales Rep Info in column C on Sheet2 (has only Sales Rep ID) using Sheet1 as a translation table (shows Sales Rep ID and Sales Rep Info). I realize there are a number of threads on this topic, and I've read through them but have been unable to apply those answers to this problem. I've attached a sample of the worksheet in question. The worksheet is supposed to tell me if messages are supported via a certain Network (BFX).
Column A is the result of a VLOOKUP function, which returns Yes or No if the entry is found, or #N/A if the entry is not found. Column B is my attempt to translate column A into strictly "Yes" and "No", converting an #N/A into a "No". For some reason, the ISNA( function I'm using doesn't seem to work, as highlighted in row 18.
