Copy Sheet 1 Including Any Changes -inserts/deletes To Sheet 2?

How do I get some columns in sheet 2 to be a 'Live' copy of some colums in sheet 1? - 'Live' as in they include any changes to sheet 1, i.e. insertion/deletion of rows?...

I have set up a very basic shared workbook for me & four colleagues so we can all see what each others work loads are like and establish who has capacity for new work. We each have a sheet and record the work data in rows which details Name of case, Case ref no., age in days,etc... This then feeds a summary sheet displaying the totals of the relevant info and has pretty charts etc which we can print off for our manager.

As our cases are concluded we simply delete the rows. When we get new cases they are either added as new rows or inserted between existing rows (when similar work/related work). What I would like to do is give each of us a second sheet where we could record more specific detail regards each case. I would like sheet 2 columns A&B (detailing name name & Ref No.) to be the same as Columns A&B Sheet 1 - I have done this with a simple =Sheet1!A1...etc, which is great until any deletions/insertion are made to sheet 1 which then throws out sheet 2. How do I make Columns A&B for sheet 2 'live' copies of Colimns A&B Sheet 1?

Inserts New Row And Also Inserts New Sheet With The Rows Name That Was Inputted

(1) My main tab I have a macro button that inserts a new row and also inserts a new sheet with the rows name that was inputted. But on the main tab in cell A1 that is named, I can not get it to hyperlink to the new tab.

(2) When the button is hit to insert a new row and sheet I copy over previous tabs information and then I want to change two fields A1 and B1, A1 works fine but my B1 I can not get the formula to work correctly. My cell in B1 I need it to say 'DESCRIPTION: ' and then take the value of main tab 'Test Case Summaries' cell D?, it would be the new line and copy it here. See below... rname is the new tab name and lrow is the new row that was added when the macro button is hit.

Create A Tally Sheet To Keep Track Of My Inventory Of Inserts

I am trying to make a tally sheet to keep track of my inventory of inserts. I am trying to make it as user friendly as possible as my operators do not have much experience working with computers. I will attach what I have made so far. The only math functions so far are: C4=B15-C15.

Right now the operator has to look at C4 to see current total, type that number into B15, then in C15 type the number of inserts thrown out to show a new current inventory total in C4. Is there a way I can set this up so that all an operator has to do is type in only the number of inserts thrown out in C15 to give current total in C4. Is there a way to make B15 know what is in C4 without the operator having to type it in. If so is there also a way to make C15 the only cell that can be edited.

Macro Stops Every Time It Deletes A Sheet

I have a macro that that stops every time I’m trying to delete the sheet. I get this message. “Data may exist in the sheet(s) selected for deletion. To permanently delete the data, prese Delete.” and I have to manually click “delete” to continue running the macro. How can I avoid this stop so that macro runs thru it without stops?

Copying Cells From One Sheet To Multiple Sheet And Naming Sheet As Copy Text?

I want to do a loop where you can copy say A3 worksheet 1 then add another sheet naming the work sheet "A3" then copying A3 worksheet 1 to A1 "A3". After that looping to A4 to a new work sheet naming the work sheet "A4"copying the value to A1 "A4", etc...

Is there a simply way of doing this loop? I can probably fit my other coding into the structure.

I want to be able to copy a name from one sheet (Available Players), paste it to a cell in another sheet (Round 1 through Round 20). The cell that will be copied is fixed but the place where it will be pasted will be different and may be on a different sheet.

also i would like to change the color of the copied cell to "greyed" out or cut if it can not be greyed out. I have created a button and put in a macro that i created but have been having problems with it, generic 1004 errors that i can not figure out. i am attaching the document.

Copy Sheet & Create New Monthly Sheet From Present Sheet

I want to create a macro button that can create copy, insert, paste and rename the new sheet in next month's name, like if the active sheet's name is January, I want to copy the whole sheet of January, insert new sheet, paste the new sheet and rename the new sheet to next month like February?

Also rename the new sheet (February) cell B3 the same as new sheet's name (February)

So if month of February is near end, the macro button in February will create the same way as Jan did which means the next sheet will be named March and so on.

Macro That Deletes Sheet With Control & Shows UserForm Causes UserForm To Disappear

This is weird - if you delete a sheet that contained a control then

a. showing a modeless userform resluts in a userofrm that goes invisible at subroutine End
b. public variables lose their value

These things do not happen if the sheet did not contain a control. Attached is an example file - put the inputfile.xls in your default file location (or add a path in the code) then open the ProblemDemo.xls and run the main macro to see it fal - isthis another Excelbug I've found?

I have I workbook that contains 2 sheets. The first sheet "Business Objects" is the master list. The second sheet "Gene" contains similar data but is incomplete. There is a unique identifer for both sheets and that is item ID. what I would like to do is look at the Item ID column on sheet1 compare it to SS# on sheet two and copy any rows from sheet1 to the end of the sheet in sheet 2. I have found in my searches on this forum a bit of code that identifies the ones in sheet1 that are not in Sheet2 and highlights them red(which is not neccessary for me, but I am struggling to figure out how to take that and paste it to sheet2.

If the user inserts a row, I want all formatting/formulas/data validation from the row above to be inherited in the newly inserted row. I want this to occur on sheet1.

When you insert a new row, although the entire new row is selected, the active cell is the cell in column A. So I figured I could base a routine off of the active cell. Here is what I tried:

I am trying to reference a range. The first cell in the range is above the active cell. The second cell in the Range is above, the active cell, then to the right of the range, then down one. By referring to this Range, I am then trying to use the FillDown method. This code isn't doing anything.

Also, I need Excel to automatically run this code when the user inserts a new cell on sheet1. Would I need an event handler or just put this code inside of the Sheet1 code window?

I'm trying to create a command button on my sheet that when clicked will find all rows in column u that read Engineering Evaluation and then copy certain cells from that row to another sheet. The kicker is that this button will be used over and over again as more entries are entered into the log. I only want each row counted once.

Right now I get a run time error for the "For Each Cell In Application.Intersect(Range("u:u"), target)" line.

i have a workbook that has a lot of sheets but i need to pull information from the one sheet "Veneer Log" i Need it to make new sheets with the same heading as on the "Veneer Log" (Rows 1 & 2) Sheet but it needs to be filtered by the "Product" Column (H) with a new sheet made for all the diffrent products i.e. Dimensional, Drywall, Corners - Thin V., Accents,..... so each product will have a new sheet with i am hoping someone can help me with this. This log changes Daily and it would be nice to have a sheet with only the same product on it to compare new orders so we can batch run. i hope i have given you enough information so someone can help me with this. i have attached a sample log the real log has about 10 worksheet for diffrent departments but i only need info from the Veneer Log Sheet.

I have e new sheet with a number Sheet(n) not equal to maximum sheet number +1

For a new run of the VBA macro I need to delete this sheet

Then I need to avoid the message box where I need to confirm to delete the sheet because the sheet is not empty.

Is there a solution to copy a pivot in a new sheet replacing the previous pivot and vithout changing the number of the sheet?

Everything seemed to be working until i tried to copy and paste something on my spreadsheet (sheet titled Input Sheet). When I paste anything onto this sheet I see the Paste happen and then Excel just hangs (no errors?). I just left it for over 5 minutes and nothing happened (still hanging). I'm trying to create a copy of the active sheet and then rename the new copied sheet to what's in cell O4, which is a formula (see below) and then paste value cell O4 in B3 of the copied sheet. However, when I run this macro it doesn't seem to like the second line where I am renaming the sheet (run time error '1004').

Copy Cells From A Sheet And Transfer Only The Values To Other Sheet?

I'm trying to copy the cells from a sheet and transfer only the values to other sheet.

I did it via code and it worked fine, except for the dates. In the new sheet the months and days are swapped.

The original date is composed via the concatenate function, since it gets inputs (day, month and year) from the user in different cells. It's in the format D/M/YYYY (examples: 4/2/2014, 10/12/2013). I believe the excel interprets it as Text, even if I formated the cells to Date.

I think it may have something to do with the default format in different countries. Here in Brazil we use DD/MM/YYYY, but my Excel is in english and in US the format is MM/DD/YYYY, am I right?

Ok so i have 2 sheets. Sheet 2 is a form that needs to be printed.sheet one will have data pasted into it by the user. The data will be placed in column a and b. If a has data in it then so will b. Now I need the macro to identify if data is in a then the macro needs to then copy a and paste special into A18 on sheet2 then copy b and paste into A6 on sheet2 then print sheet2. Repeat this process to every row as long as A has data in it.
