View 13 RepliesI want to find the minimum value of column A if there is anything greater than zero in column B. I tried this formula (simplified): MINIF(B2:B6,">"&0,A2:A6) And it gives me the # NAME? error
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a table populated with equations. I need to write a function to find
the smallest value in that table. However, I want to ignore the zero values.
From a dataset containing 8, 5, 0, 7 I want to find 5, not zero.
I want to find the minimum time value within a range of cells, excluding 0:00. Currently,
VB:
=MIN(BL5:CP5)
returns 0:00 if it exists in any of the cells.
I have a range of weekly sub totals that get entered each week for the year.
o8:bn8
As each week are entered I am trying to find the lowest week's production (using the =min formula) that is above 0 (weeks not yet entered appear as 0) the problem is that it keeps defaulting to the next column once a number greater than o is entered.
I want to find the minimum time value within a range of cells, excluding 0:00. Currently, =MIN(BL5:CP5). returns 0:00 if it exists in any of the cells.

I am currently using the VLOOKUP command to search a table for the proper ampacity and return a cable size based on the minimum circuit amps. The problem however is the VLOOKUP command searches for a number equal to or less than my circuit amps and returns this cable size. I need it to return a size equal to or greater than the minimum circuit amps. How do I get it to lookup something equal to or greater than the minimum amount?

I am adding the amounts for Food (Column B), Liquor (Column C), Wine (Column D), Beer (Column E), and Taxes ( Column F) for a total in Column G.
However, Column G is only for credit card totals and I want to do the same calculations for cash totals (Column J) using the same B through F Column without those numbers being plugged back into Column G, when I have no credit card total.
I have a spreadsheet with rows of data. I need a formula that will return the column number of the last column in a row where there is a value >0.
Let's say that cells A1:F1 contain values. Some have values of 0 while others have values >0. I need a formula in cell G1 that will tell me the column number of the last value >0.
A B C D E F
0 2 5 0 6 0
So the formula in G1 would return a value of 5, which corresponds to column E.
I want in A1 to find minimum SUM if no minimum number in row.
Here is example attached: ...
Items in Column A1 are calculated by (B2/4+5)*1.4 Items located under the columns 2000, 3000, 4000, etc... 10,000 are calculated by taking the top number, eg 2000/(A1 cell value)+the column B number. 2000/7+0 = 286 (rounded numbers)
I need to find an way to look up for x number (2000,3000,4000, etc...) find the smallest number in that column and then return the value in column A1.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a simple formula that would show a minimum number of '1' if the two cells that I am multiplying together are less than '1'.
Example would be the total gasoline for a round trip is $58.65 at .24 round trips. I want it to show a minimum of '1' round trip at the cost of $58.65 and not a fraction cost of $14.08.
I am entering this formula on an iPad's Numbers app (formulas are basically the same)

How to create a formula in cell M2 that looks at the second row of numbers (0 and 500s) and tells me the rightmost value that is greater than zero. In this example it would return 12.
Second Question: Is there a way to return any counted value, for example the second-to-last number that is over 0?
I'm trying to analyze the pricing we get from our shipping courier. Although the courier gives us incentive discounts, they also have a minimum charge that supersedes the discount. In other words, suppose the "Minimum charge" is set at $6.24. If the published "list rate" on a package is $10 but we get a 50% discount on all shipments, instead of paying $5, we pay $6.24. Basically, between the post-discount amount and the "minimum charge" we pay whichever is greater/higher.
Now, to the Excel part: I have cells with simple formulas applying our % discount to our carrier's published list rates to calculate the resulting price (i.e, where cell A1 contains published list shipping rate and cell B1 is our discount %, so in cell C1, I have a formula: =A1*B1). I would like know how, if the result of the formula in cell C1 is less than $6.24, that the cell could display $6.24 rather than the actual result?
I have two columns of data with a minimum value in the first column and a maximum value in the second column. What I'm trying to get is an indicator in a third column which tells me if a whole number falls at or between the minimum and maximum values. Here is a sample of my data:
A1 B1 C1
0 0.1 TRUE
0.2 0.5 FALSE
0.6 0.8 FALSE
0.9 1.2 TRUE
1.3 1.6 FALSE
1.7 2.0 TRUE
So i need a way to find the minimum number in a given set of numbers without there being multiple minimums. For example if you had 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 the minimum would be 1. If however you had 1, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5....i want excel to recognize there are multiple minimums (two 1's) and produce a warning (i realize this probably needs to be coupled with an if statement).

View 9 Replies View RelatedHow can I find the lowest value in a range (say B5:H20),
and then sum its column ???
i.e. The minimum value in this range is in the cell F16... So, I need to sum range F5:F20 (only the column with the minimum value)
I have a spreadsheet that I need a formula so that when a number appears in one column, then automatically it will put text (only) in the adjacent column. I have attached the sample spreadsheet for review. What I need is if there is a number in column A then, put a " / " (forward slash) in column B. If there is only a 0.00 in column A, then put nothing in column B. I tried the IF function an it errored out stating that the " / " was not a number.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have columns of data as per below and if the data in Column A meets a certain condition I want it to return the minimum in Column B.
Column A Column B
BU1 5.45%
BU1 7.00%
BU2 10.00%
BU1 4.67%
BU2 3.50%
So, if Column A contains BU1 I want to know the minimum of the BU1 %'s.
I would like to find min value in column B for 1 order number (they are sorted Asc). Values must be shown in column C (currently are in column C expected values).
Example table:

Is there an equation to count numbers greater than zero without adding an additional column?
I had a COUNTIF equation but realized that the criteria that I used to use required an additional column. The additional column I used to have would be something along the lines of =IF(A1>0, "x", "") and then count the X's. I was just wondering if there was another equation that could reduce that step.
With four numbers, I am attempting to "return" a number that is greater than zero, EVEN IF zero is in the array. Meaning, I need the number greater zero, knowing zero is within the array. This will be a part of a much longer concatenate formula.
010 5 0
I would expect the answer to be "5".
I tried: =abs(min(A1:D1))
This works great if there is a negative number (e.g. a -5, rather than 5 shown above), but when the numbers are all positive, the result is "0", I want 5 or the next greater number above zero.
How do you put an answer in a cell after subtracting 2 numbers and if greater than a number put that answer in. This isnt right just an example
=IF(a1-a2 is greater than 10 then put that answer in the cell if not just leave it blank?
I like to do is if cell H3 is Greater than cell A35 to promt the message box below. But if less than do nothing. And if possible if less than to look at sheet 2 cell A35 and do the same.
If WorksheetFunction.Sum(Range("H3") >= ("A35")) Then Exit Sub
MsgBox "QTY. MUST BE GREATER THAN END FEQUENCY", vbOKOnly
Say I have 2 columns that in basic form look like this:
Column A Column B
Jan 1
Feb 0
Mar 7
Apr 4
May 15
Jun 2
Jul 5
Aug 4
First I want to look up the max value in this column. This is easy =max(b1:b8)
Then I want to know the minimum value that occurs after the maximum value. Thus the answer would be 2.
how do I find the non zero minimum in a column of figures, I want the figure that is greater than 1 returned?
