Returning Values From One Excel Sheet To Another Using Cell Addresses?

I have two sheets: sheet1 and sheet2.

In sheet2 I have a column "C" called addresses and in that column I have actual cell addresses such as $J$740, $H$756, etc., all referring to cell locations in Sheet1.

In sheet1 in column "B" are names.

I would like to be able to return the names from sheet1 column "B" to column "G" of sheet2 that belong to the cell address from column "C" in sheet2.

Is there an Excel formula or vb script that will do this?

I tried "=INDIRECT("sheet1!"&C2)" but all that did was return was is written in the cell address (for example $J$740) but what I want is the corresponding name in column B.

Fill ListBox With Found Values Sheet Names & Cell Addresses

I have a spreadsheet containing a list of key fob numbers, key numbers, etc. I have 3 userforms with different for different options, i.e. Key fob no. search, key number search, room number search. I have set up the code for each of the userforms to search for the information entered in the textbox and then lists the info in the listbox which I can then click on the one of the listed items to take me directly to the place in the spreadsheet.

However since there are a range of different key numbers per key fob, I would like to know what code I can use to allow a range of information such as the key number and room number, etc to be displayed in the same listbox as the Key fob number i searched for.

Here is my code for one of the Userforms:

I need a formula (but most likely a VBA macro) that will search through a folder for a file than get data from that file. The files are named in systematic way, but I need the entire formula to work from inputting a mold number in one cell. E.g. I input 6291 in cell A2 the vba macro searches for file “6291 mold.xlsx” and returns a range of numbers as well as pictures in specified cells. Is this possible? If so how?

The closest thing I have found is VBA macro that retrieves a list of media files in a folder, I listed the code below.

Cell Addresses Derived From Concatenated Values In Separate Cells

I need to return a value from a cell in Column H, but with a row number that varies with each entry.

I repeat this formula every 5 rows or so. But the cells referenced on another spreadsheet are only one row apart. Because of this discrepance, when I copy my highly developed cluster of formulas, they only reference every 5th entry on the other sheet. What I've been doing is manually altering long, complicated formulas by hand. I can't do a replace function because every once in awhile it'll find an extra instance of the digit I'm replacing and mess up parts of the formula I don't want changed. I could avoid this tedious, time-consuming work-around if I could make a formula that would do something like this:

=Display Value from in column H: (row number per cell B1)

And cell B1 would include the number 3789.

So the returned result is the value from cell H:3789

Summarize Columns, Based On Unique Value, Into 1 Sheet With Cell Addresses

I have the following code always throwing this error message: "subscript out of range". When i run the macro with worksheets that only have 10 rows each, it's running fine. I suspect some issues on the line: a = Range("a1"). CurrentRegion.Resize(, 3) - the debug always throws the error before entering the loop. This macro is supposed to find the lowest price among 3 spreadsheets by matching the "Code" column and sending the final result into a new spreadsheet. But since im trying to run the macro on spreadsheets holding over 6000 lines each, this error is appearing.

Excel 2010 :: Using VBA For Sub-Totaling Returning Unexpected Values

This is the only macro in this file

It will perform the sub-totalling for the column that has the current active cell

When I select Column I

It does.....
-for each blue cell it finds it provides a total of all the white cells bellow it
-for each yellow cell it find it provides a total of all the blue cells bellow it until it reaches a yellow cell

It works backwards, so not exactly as I've just described, but that isn't the problem

Problem is -
UK Excel 2010 - results are as expected
US Excel 2010 - returns zero values for totals

We've possibly narrowed the problem down to when it looks at cell properties, more specifically -- If Cells(rowX, 1).Interior.ColorIndex = 20 Then

Excel 2003 :: Returning Multiple Values From Index?

I am using the following formula:

=IFERROR(INDEX(drange,SMALL(IF(AND(qrange="SH",trange>30),ROW()-6),ROW(A1))),"")

to return the name (drange) of a person who was visited by "SH" (qrange), more than 30 days ago (trange).

There are faults in my formula, and if I'm honest I don't entirely understand it !

I need to return all of the names of people who were visited by "SH" more than 30 days ago. So I need the next value, and the next which is also over 30, by copying the formula down to the next cell and the next. My problem is that I get the first value (which is correct) and then the next ones are blank.

To make matters worse, the first value I get is only correct if i DON'T enter it as an array. If I do enter it as an array, I get the first row of the spreadsheet.

I am using Excel 2003. I have attached a data file here. getting the values in Q3, R3 and S3.

Scenario:

Q1 has the number = 1. So I want the cell Q3 to return 2/11/2013 as that is the cell corresponding to the Item1 (value specified in P3) with the value 1(value specified in Q1) in the cell. Basically, I need the date corresponding to cell which has the value of Q1 for the value of P3.

Similarly, R2 must have the value 2/12/2013 and S3 must have the value 2/14/2013 returned.

Basically I'm trying to find column #3 value in my third sheet and return the second column value. Problem is that the data is located more than once in the third sheet so I need the value of each one of them. So, with this example, Q5942X is located twice in the third sheet and each time, it has a quantity of 2. I would need either to return the value 2 twice horizontally or even better, add the two together. The first sheet, the example is row #45.

This formula should be in the column following "majoration".

I am using excel 2007 and windows 7.

In Sheet2 I have a list of cell addresses showing values such as D5, D32, D59, D221, D869 stored in cells AB7:AB16. In Sheet1 the "D" column holds dates. I want to return the corresponding date for each D# cell into Sheet2 in column AC7:AC16. I'm unaware of the proper syntax for this. I though it would look something like:

='Sheet1'!('Sheet2'!(AB7))

however that doesn't work.

See attached, I want to rename all excel sheets (renamed as "1", "2", "3"....."50") as "9999", "10000", "10001"..."10045", found in Sheet1, renamed as "Base". I will change the cell values everyday (range Base!A5 to Base!50) - and will rename all the sheets again.

I am having a challenge at work. We have a client that emailed us an PDF file with addresses. There are over 200 pages and each page has 30 addresses (3 coloumns and 10 rows). When I try to copy and paste the addresses into excel, the addresses are all next to eachother and are pasted into excel as you would see an address on an envelope. But I need the parts of each address in a seperate column.

Have an Excel 2010 spreadsheet with 902 email addresses in one column, and 927 email addresses in other column, sorted in alphabetical order.

Overview: Organization database has 902 Members (some have 2 email addresses subscribed to listserv) and Organizational Listserv which has all 927 (Difference is numbers are some members have 2 email addresses subscribed) BUT 902 of emails should be the same

Objective to compare Listserv Members 927 with Database Members 902. I am trying to isolate the email addresses which do NOT exist in Listserv Column, or who do not exist in Database Column for Audit purposes. All Members from the Database column should be subscribed or entered into the Listserv column.

If it's a perfect world the 902 email addresses will all be exactly the same as 902 out of the 927 Listserv email addresses.
Trying to highlight or sort and put identical email addresses on same line or using Conditionally formatting? Highlight Cell Rules/Duplicate cell rules Even when same email addresses are on the same row conditional formatting does not recognize them.

I have a list with X and Y values and need to interpolate (linear) between two X points to return intermediate values for Y (interval between values is defined by the user in a userform). The code is to continue with interpolation between two consecutive X points until it has reached the end of the listing. In the example only several points are given, but the list can be longer or shorter than given in the example. The results need to be returned to a new sheet.

That correctly returns the largest value in range B1:B50 across sheets 1 to 99.

However now I want to know the sheet name of the value above in a seperate cell, let say in: A3.

I'm trying to get the Median (and min/max later) of certain values on a different sheet. For example, I'm operating in one sheet and pulling the values from the sheet "Form Responses". I want a median for numbers when the values in column B are "Aransas" and the values in column D are Yes. The values are in Column F. My formula is:

=MEDIAN(IF('Form Responses'!B:B="Aransas",IF('Form Responses'!D:D="Yes",'Form Responses'!F:F,""),""))

It's giving me the median for ALL of the numbers in F and I can't figure out why.

Following that, I'll want a median for all the numbers in F when column B value is "Aransas" (in other words, dropping the Column D condition).
