I have a date that has to be amended every now and then because the date is changing (bcoz of Night Shift), hence, I need to know a formula that.
IF Time is within 8:00 PM (Aug 15) until 5:00 AM (Aug 16), the Aug 15 will prevail.
I have a data table with dates and marks by 0 and 1.
I need a formula, if a date selected from data table, to find first next or previous matched date.

I have a worksheet that displays totals from a master worksheet. At the bottom of the summary I would like to have the three previous months totals displayed from one column. I know that I can achieve this "quick and dirty" by just using VBA to display what I want, but I wanted to see if there was a better way of achieving this.
I searched and came up with a formula like[code = TEXT(H4,"MMMM"[/code] This will diplay the month name like I want, but there are also three other cells that I need the previous months in. Is there some type of formula that will autmatically change these values once the date in cell H4 changes?
I have an excel sheet wherin there is a column that has the data where in the dates are displayed and many other columns.
I get this excel every Thursday so i want to filter this date column in such a way that it give me the data related to the date of the previous week only yet there is a catch here. When i say previous week i mean.
Suppose today is 03/14/14 then i want the data from 03/07/14 till today ie Last week friday to this week full( so cant use Current week option) and then paste it in a new sheet.
I tried the Record part but in that it is taking a hard coded value as i am selecting the date myself. I dont want to change the date manually every time.

i have with noting the most recent date of a test and also the one prior to the most recent dependant on location and test type. I require most recent and previous test info to enable a comparrison to be made. All other dates are not required but need to be kept as historical data and can't be deleted.
Is there anyway i could get column E to auto populate and amend itself as more test dates and locations are added to the list?
how to search through a list of last names in column B, then find all of the last names which are the same as what is being searched for, then list them along with their first name which is located in the adjacent column A, this list of names is then displayed to the user to chose the name needed.
eg.
a) User enters in the last name "Smith".
b) program searches all of column B and finds 3 occurences of the last name "Smith".
c) it then adds the first name to each of them which is located in column A next to each "Smith".
ie. John Smith
Larry Smith
Fred Smith
Maybe list these in a list box or something.
d) Now the user wants Larry Smith, so all he does is click on Larry Smith, and then that full name is entered into column A on the next worksheet.
I have a spreadsheet which I use to track when a work request is recieved, when we confirm the request and when we action the request. I have been trying to write some code to count the amount of requests, receipts and actions we have processed in the last month.
My first column shows who the request is from
The second shows date recieved
The third shows date we send receipt
The fourth shows the date actioned.
I'm sent a file every day where column A contains a month & year but in "general" format.
For example;
Column A, starting with cell A1 with the next date in A2, etc

Feb15
Mar15
Apr15
Is there a way through a formula or macro that I can use in order to run through all the dates in this column to make sure that the next cell down is always the month after the cell above it? The dates go all the way through to 2018 in the above format.
I need a VBA code which tells me the date of previous monday of any date. The user types in any date to the cell A1, and I need the date of previous monday to be inserted to the cell A2.

We receive payments in either USD or HNL. I want to be able to have a final price (last column) that puts all prices in USD. I have a reference cell on a separate worksheet (drop down inputs) that we will use to store the data for validations and the conversion rate. We use one conversion rate for all transactions for a fiscal year, so only need to update once a year. Not sure how to make this work.

I need a formula to display the previous date to the most current date out of the list.

In Excel VBA, is there a way to get the beginning date and the last date for the previous month from TODAY()?
i.e. If TODAY is Jan 3, 2014, then I would like to have the beginning date as Dec 1, 2013 and the end date as Dec 31, 2013.
i.e. If TODAY is Mar 18, 2012, then I would like to have the beginning date as Feb 1, 2012 and the end date as Feb 29, 2012 (yes 29, not 28).
So basically, I need to have the AI to know the beginning of the year (January 2014 - takes Dec 2013) and if it happens to be February, the 'end date' is either 28th or 29th depending on the year.
I have a folder containing excel files with dynamic suffix names. I have files for all days starting from the 1st of the month – for example : Performance_01012010.xls, Performance 02012010.xls, Performance_03012010.xls till Performance_31012010.xls.
I want a VBA code to retrieve the date out and change it automatically (means it should add 1 automatically to the previous date). For example, if I open Performance_05012010.xls, my macro should SAVE AS this file to Performance_06012010.xls.
Is there a way to make the date in a cell check the current date then fall back to the previous sunday unless today actually happens to be sunday? So for example it would look at today and make the date 12/9/2007 rather than 12/14/2007

I need a function where for a given date will return the date of a specified weekday in the previous week.
Example: If today is Friday Sept. 25th 2009 and I want to find the date of
the Wednesday in the previous week I would need something

look at the attached file - it was a CSV file. i want to convert the column of dates to say Mar 14 2009 type date. but it only converts some of them.
note some are on the left and some on the right.

The attached workbook has dates in column C, although some of these dates are just strings.
I'm trying to write some vba that will tell me how many of the cells in column C contain a date (or looks like a date) that is greater than (after) the real date in cell G1.
At the moment I loop through the cells in column C and can ascertain, which dates can be counted, then copy one row over at a time, but I'm looking for a slicker (perhaps one-liner) answer, perhaps by copying a block of rows in one go. The aim is to copy those rows to another sheet. There are many more rows than in the attached, and many sheets to process, and I have no control over the format of the dates/strings in column C. Currently it takes about 20 seconds to copy over the necessary rows, but I'm looking for it to happen much more quickly; current thoughts are to sort on column C (sorting on column C anything that looks like a number as a number - which has it's own problems!), have a count of dates satisfying the criterion (say using a worksheet formula such as COUNTIF or SUMPRODUCT, perhaps also using EVALUATE) then copy a block of rows in one go.

I need to compare three cells of random dates shown in Column E, F,& G with Row's H5:AK5, H7:AK7, H9:AK7 (the Dates to these rows is Static on row H3:AK3.) EX: ROW 5 has Start Date, End Date (1) and End Date (2). Compare Cell H3 between Start Date & End Date (1). If H3 falls between or equal to Start and End Date(1) then highlight cell H5. Proceed till AK3 (higlighting only the cells H5:AK5). Then compare cell H3 between or equal to End Date (1) and End Date (2) (higlighting only the cells H5:AK5). Then do the same for ROW 7 and ROW 9.
To make things a bit more difficult I need to have " WK#" in Row 14 (these WK# is on another tab called "Task" of the workbook) needs to be displayed in Row's H4:AK4, H6:AK6, & H8:AK8. EX: Compare Date in D15 between or equal to Start Date & End Date (1) then display Wk# in D14 in H4. Continue till all dates in
