Is there a way to make the date in a cell check the current date then fall back to the previous sunday unless today actually happens to be sunday? So for example it would look at today and make the date 12/9/2007 rather than 12/14/2007

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an excel sheet that uses date formulas in order to provide data regarding the date that it brings up. My problem is that the formulas do not bring up dates unless the dates are on a weekday. Ex. I would like to look back 3 months in the past, and I do so using the formula =today()-90 (90 for 90 days, about 3 months). I would then like to input this date formula into another function (potentially an if function) so that if today-90 is a saturday or a sunday, the function will automatically bring up the date for the friday preceding it.

All i need to find is,
If Name = AB, i want put start_date+3 days in the end_date column,
similarly for name = CD , start_date+7 days.
But the calculation should exculde weekends(sat and sun).
ex: For AB, start_date = 10/3/13 (3rd oct , thrusday), end_date should be start_date+3 ,so end_date = 10/6/13 but 6th october is sunday so the formula should give end_date as 10/7/13.
How to creat list box and how the day and date hilighted automatically for sunday in red col and saturday and sunday colum should hilight.

I get this excel every Thursday so i want to filter this date column in such a way that it give me the data related to the date of the previous week only yet there is a catch here. When i say previous week i mean.
Suppose today is 03/14/14 then i want the data from 03/07/14 till today ie Last week friday to this week full( so cant use Current week option) and then paste it in a new sheet.

I have a spreadsheet which I use to track when a work request is recieved, when we confirm the request and when we action the request. I have been trying to write some code to count the amount of requests, receipts and actions we have processed in the last month.
My first column shows who the request is from
The second shows date recieved
The third shows date we send receipt
The fourth shows the date actioned.
I'm sent a file every day where column A contains a month & year but in "general" format.
For example;
Column A, starting with cell A1 with the next date in A2, etc
Jan15
Feb15
Mar15
Apr15
Is there a way through a formula or macro that I can use in order to run through all the dates in this column to make sure that the next cell down is always the month after the cell above it? The dates go all the way through to 2018 in the above format.

I have the formula in 2 cells to automatically display the current Sunday through Saturday dates when the worksheet is opened:=TODAY()-WEEKDAY(TODAY()-1) in E1 and=E1+6 in E2However, I need these dates to be static once the week is over for each worksheet and the workbook will contain a sheet for each week in the month (I'm not sure if that matters). I know this needs to be done in VBA, but I can't find how (if possible).

How to make a date into a decimal number. For example, Dec 14 I need to convert to 11.45
Its basically the number of months and days that have gone by in that calender year. So the 11.45 is "11 months" have gone by and the .45 is the days that have gone by in the month of December. (the 14th day divided by 31 the total in December = .45)
So another example would be Feb 3rd. My conversion would be 1.10 (1 month has gone by in the calender and 3 days into the month, 3 / 28 = .10 so Feb 3rd is now 1.10)

In Excel VBA, is there a way to get the beginning date and the last date for the previous month from TODAY()?
i.e. If TODAY is Jan 3, 2014, then I would like to have the beginning date as Dec 1, 2013 and the end date as Dec 31, 2013.

I need the data to then fill a form where it can be sub-totaled. There are several additional columns of data that are not relevant so I know I can create a pivot table and then filter the data, but then I need to copy and paste the filtered data into the form. Is there a way to do this without me copy and pasting everytime?

Each cell may have a different date based on when that employee initially got that qualification. I want the cell that the initial qualification date is typed in to turn "red" after 180days, "orange" after 120 days and "yellow" after 90 days. I have a formula that does close to what I need, but it changes the cell next to it in color.
