May 11, 2009In one of the spreadsheets there is a need to have a 'action at' field.
This is the next five minute time slot between 5 and 10 minutes in the future (eg 10.51 -> 11.00 , 1.56 ->2.05 etc)

Oct 25, 2009I import via copy paste into excel from a timekeeping programme the following time I have worked each day, as an example:
Mon 7h 55m
Tues 6h 30m
Wed 7h 24m
etc
Is there a method of changing this in excel to work out the number of minutes I have worked each day? The timekeeping programme does not let me alter any parameters, so h & m is what I have.

Jul 13, 2013I want a macro to take the current time and if it is less than 09:00am, I want it to set a variable to be the current time on the previous day.
Basically, an operational day runs from 09:00am to 08:59am the following day.
08:45am on Saturday 13 July (for example) should be recorded as 08:45am on Friday 12 July.

Mar 3, 2009I am trying to provide a tool for department leaders to monitor productivity for order processing in their departments. The variables I have are: Number of orders(variable), number of pickers (variable), start time(variable). Then, I know each order takes 1 picker 4 minutes to pick on average, and there are 45 minutes worth of breaks during the picking process. So after entering the variables I used =(((C3*4)/60)/D3) to come up with the time needed to process the orders. What I can't get to is how to add this number to the start time, factor in break minutes and get to the projected completion time. I have Excel 2003 at work. Clearly I need to take a class!

Sep 18, 2009Unsurprisingly I have a spreadsheet:
Column D contains the total hours that a component has been installed for
Column C contains the additional hours the component acquired
I need the total of these 2 sets of time added together to give me the new hours that the component has acquired. All cells have been formatted [h]:mm:ss
I attach an extract of the spreadsheet. At the moment the values in column D are all calculated manually. When I add the values together Excel returns #Value!
The annoying thing is that in cells B2 and A3 I tested this and can do this with no problem...the value in B3 is the sum of B2 and A3.

I have a production schedule which shows how many hours and minutes are remaining for a given production run, i.e. 6.4 or 3.2. i want to do two things with these values. 1) add the 6.4 to the current time, something like a1 + now(0) to get the time the production run should end.
and
2) i want to add the number of minutes from a calculation to the current time, ie. 10:14 AM + 122 minutes = actual time the production ends. Nothing i do seems to give a desired result - including formatting the cell to any variation of the time format - including custom.

Cell B2 is contains start time (7:50 AM) and D1 is the establish variable for class length (in this case 45 minutes). Passing time is constant (5 minutes), but needs to be added to the day schedule with the start of each class. I attempted to convert these value to minutes with no luck, same goes to formatting cells.

Oct 21, 2008I have a cell formatted as general that has need to be able to to take 21:56 and convert that to minutes. That is 21 hours 56 minutes to 1316 minutes. Then I need to add those minutes to a time to come up with like 19:14 + 1316 minutes = sometime the next day.

Oct 10, 2009When I am converting a time from Hours/Minutes to Hours/Tenths, Excel is not converting it consitantely. EXAMPLE: 1:15 = 1.25. When I format the cell to present only one place past the decimal point, sometimes the cell will round up to 1.3, and other times it will round down to 1.2. What am I missing?

Jun 18, 2014cell A1 has the time (09:00), cell A2 has the minutes (60), cell A3 is the sum of A1+A2.
Im using this formula =A1+TIME(0,A2,0) - which is fine, except A1 is sometimes blank, so therefore I would like A3 to be blank.
I thought I could use this: =IF(A1,"","",(A1+TIME(0,A2,0)) But it doesn't work.
