Add This Number To The Start Time, Factor In Break Minutes And Get To The Projected Completion Time
Mar 3, 2009
I am trying to provide a tool for department leaders to monitor productivity for order processing in their departments. The variables I have are: Number of orders(variable), number of pickers (variable), start time(variable). Then, I know each order takes 1 picker 4 minutes to pick on average, and there are 45 minutes worth of breaks during the picking process. So after entering the variables I used =(((C3*4)/60)/D3) to come up with the time needed to process the orders. What I can't get to is how to add this number to the start time, factor in break minutes and get to the projected completion time. I have Excel 2003 at work. Clearly I need to take a class!
basically I am trying to make a time calculator for work, I want it to automatically add the hours up but then also minus break times and then give me a whole paid total hours worked that week.
if someone called me at 4:55pm and ended the call at 5:10pm, the whole call lasted 15 minutes. So, I want to show on excel that the call lasted 5 minutes in the 16th hour of the day (4:55pm) and 10 minutes in the 17th hour of the day (5:10pm), for a total of 15 minutes.
I have a user form with textBox1 = start time (entered as "[h]:mm") and text Box2 = finish time (entered as "[h]:mm"). I would like textBox3 to display the difference between the start time and finish time as a general number!
For example Start time: 21:00 Finish time: 06:30 Hours worked: 9.50
I have a timesheet where user updates start and end time for various tasks.
I have placed a time capture button in the excel sheet (which is simply a macro saying =now() function)
The user clicks it before starting and after finishing the task. The start and end times are captured in adjacent cells.
If the user starts the work, and goes on a lunch break say for 20 min, comes back finishes the task and captures end time, the time difference will not consider break time which is non productive.
How can I incorporate something like 'pause' option so that before he goes for lunch he can temporarily pause the time.
I have a worksheet which contains START TIME in column A, then TIME USAGE in column B and END TIME in column C. User enters start time, followed by the number of time usage in minutes, how could i possibly display the end time automatically in this scenario? how do you add the entered time usage to the start time to display the end time? Say if I enter 1:00 AM at start time and 00:15 minutes on time usage, how can 1:15 AM be displayed on the end time automatically?
I import via copy paste into excel from a timekeeping programme the following time I have worked each day, as an example:
Mon 7h 55m Tues 6h 30m Wed 7h 24m etc
Is there a method of changing this in excel to work out the number of minutes I have worked each day? The timekeeping programme does not let me alter any parameters, so h & m is what I have.
I have a userform that time stamps on my userform as soon as i open the form, is there a way that when I submit, that the amount of time that I was on the call to be put in my column on my worksheet as minutes?
Can I adapt this code so that users receive the alert if they try and go to the next field without filling in the required ones, or - better - to combine it with a code that does not run a macro, but instead gives the alert, if the required fields have been missed. (I don't require anything to do with printing, this was the closest code I could find)
Private Sub Workbook_BeforePrint(Cancel As Boolean) If Sheet1. Range("A1").Value = "" Then MsgBox "Cannot print until required cells have been completed!" Cancel = True End If End Sub
I need to list multiple items that end in, example:at time entered there is 45:14:50 = Hr:Mn:Sec to completion, and would like the date and time of completion or just a countdown to 0 would work. I will have 60 to 70 items running at the same time with different start times and lengths. Picture queueing up items at different times to complete in different length of time and I need to be ready when each item is done. I know this is an Excel forum but I also use Apple Numbers so if either one works better I'm fine with that.
In the attached file, column R is the start time that I enter that needs to be calculated to column S. When I enter an item that takes 54hrs 23min 45seconds to complete, what date and time will it be ready.
the vendor has a 21 hr working window; start from 7am and goes until 4am; Mon to Fri.
Here is a scenario: - i request for a product information from a vendor on 3-Feb-14 8:00am (Monday) - he replies with all of the product info on 6-Feb-14 12:00pm (Thursday)
can you find the time in above scenario consideration the working window?
Here is another scenario: - i request for a product information from a vendor on 6-Feb-14 8:00am (Thursday) - he replies with all of the product info on 11-Feb-14 12:00pm (Tuesday) - Sat & Sun are days off but keep in mind that my Friday shift ends on sat at 4am so the networdays formula wont work.
I have a workbook that is generated from the system(AS400)but it wont subtract the time finish -time start. I get a #Value error in the cells I tried two different formulas.
I have to calculate the difference between the start time and end time of a job. The only catch is, how can I avoid calculating "out of hours" time. So, if a job goes from 9am to 9am the next day, I want it to avoid calculating between the hours of 23:30 and 03:30.
Another example is if a job goes from 02:00 to 04:00, I want it to avoid the tim between 02:00 and 03:00.
If there is a difference in days, so the job goes overnight, how do I take that into consideration also.
I want to copy and paste a PARTICULAR RANGE from one workbook to another workbook. I want to select the data range from "09:55:00" to "10:00:00" which is in the cells in Column "A" an copy paste it to another workbook. The rows are not constant. The data "09:55:00" to "10:00:00" can e present on any row but is present on the same column i.e "A".
I want to set up a spreadsheet that can show my work is completed within a service level agreement, based on working hours of 9-5 Monday-Saturday.
I want to be able, for example, to log that a piece of work is reported at 09:00 on a Monday and completed at 10:00 on Monday and for excel to calculate that as 1 hour until completion. Fine so far. But what if that job was closed at 10:00 two days later? Based on an 8 hour working day, that should be 17 hours.
And what if a bit of work comes in at 17:00 on the Saturday. No one works the Sunday. Say the job is completed at 10:00 on the Monday. that should calculate as 1 hour to completion.
How to find the elapsed time between two times, but I need the start time in this instance.
Attached is my spreadsheet for a callcenter in which has exported data showing what time the data is exported and how long someone has been their state if they are out of adherence. I have selected fields explaining what I am wanting where on the spreadsheet.
I am wanting to subtract the elapsed time in MM:SS from the End Time which is in HH:MM AM/PM (Imported as text). I do not mind moving these to separate cells to the left to format them correctly, I want to be able to right click in A1, paste, and the rest trickle.
I am having difficulties subtracting the time to get the start time.
I have four different times on my report, enroute, on scene, clear of scene, in service. I need to make sure that the user's input for each time is < or = the previous time. Also I would like for my time to show in 24 hr format. Do I need to change my clock or can I do it without changing the clock format. users will use the CTRL +SHIFT+: to insert the current time
When I am converting a time from Hours/Minutes to Hours/Tenths, Excel is not converting it consitantely. EXAMPLE: 1:15 = 1.25. When I format the cell to present only one place past the decimal point, sometimes the cell will round up to 1.3, and other times it will round down to 1.2. What am I missing?
I have a spreadsheet with agents schedules. What I would like to do is to break down the schedules to determine how many hours are worked between different times. This is what I have: C7:C11 is Sunday Start Times D7:D11 is Sunday's End times. The sheet does Sun-Sat. so Saturday ends at Q11. I want to find out how many agents work from 6am-10am, 10am-12pm, 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm, 4pm-6pm, 6pm-8pm, etc. I was originally trying to use a sumproduct but had some problems getting it to work. This is what I was trying: sumproduct(--(C33:C40>=(0,0,0)),--(C33:C40
Is there a way to insert a line of code that, once all workbook open code has completed, will count for 5 seconds and then perform another piece of code?
example,
Once my workbook opens - i would like a message box to appear 5 seconds after.
ABCDEFGH11-Jun-08123412:30 PM12:32 PMHi GuyI want Date and Time should appear automatically when I entera number in C1 column I have certain conditions I need to capture the start time and end timecan you help me in this For example When I enter a number in C1 column the date must automatically appear in A1 column like wise I need start time must come automatically in D1 column when I move or use tab key to next column E1 the end time should come in E1 colcan you help me in this as shown in the above exampleI need this as soon as possiable
I need a sum function in A1 of a "Total"-sheet that totals cell A1 in every sheet with a certain color on the tab. The number of sheets can vary from time to time.
Any idea about a dynamic sum function that will do this, in combination with VBA?
I have thousands of timestamps that have a start & end date and time in 2 separate columns. (one named start and one named end...)
I also have numerous set time periods that i'm interested in.. (about a dozen or so)
for example 01/01/2008 - 05/01/2008, 07:30:00 - 10:00:00
What i need is to be able to count the number of times the full time period i am interested (07:30:00 - 10:00:00) in falls in between the thousands of start and end timestamps i have. The time periods must also fall within the date range specifed.
So if my timestamps were Start: 01/01/2008 06:30:00 & End: 02/01/2008 11:00:00, based on the set time period above, there would be a count of 2
and if my timestamps were Start: 01/01/2008 07:05:00 & End: 02/01/2008 09:00:00 there would be a count of zero as there is not a full uninterupted timeperiod 07:00:00 - 10:00:00 between these timestamps.
and if my timestamps were: Start 01/01/2007 07:00:00 & End 02/01/2007 10:00:00 the count would be zer as this is a year early!
I have an issue with identifying start-stop times for special school bell schedule. Cell B2 is contains start time (7:50 AM) and D1 is the establish variable for class length (in this case 45 minutes). Passing time is constant (5 minutes), but needs to be added to the day schedule with the start of each class. I attempted to convert these value to minutes with no luck, same goes to formatting cells.
I have a cell formatted as general that has need to be able to to take 21:56 and convert that to minutes. That is 21 hours 56 minutes to 1316 minutes. Then I need to add those minutes to a time to come up with like 19:14 + 1316 minutes = sometime the next day.
I have been racking my brains about this for the last hour without any joy. If I have a time value of say 01:12:00 in cell A1 (which is the difference between two other time values), but I want it displayed in minutes, so it displays 72 or 72:00 instead of 01:12:00 (which is 1 hour 12 minutes),
