Add This Number To The Start Time, Factor In Break Minutes And Get To The Projected Completion Time
I am trying to provide a tool for department leaders to monitor productivity for order processing in their departments. The variables I have are: Number of orders(variable), number of pickers (variable), start time(variable). Then, I know each order takes 1 picker 4 minutes to pick on average, and there are 45 minutes worth of breaks during the picking process. So after entering the variables I used =(((C3*4)/60)/D3) to come up with the time needed to process the orders. What I can't get to is how to add this number to the start time, factor in break minutes and get to the projected completion time. I have Excel 2003 at work. Clearly I need to take a class!

Start/Stop Timer For Hours Worked To Include Break Time
I have a timesheet where user updates start and end time for various tasks. I have placed a time capture button in the excel sheet (which is simply a macro saying =now() function) The user clicks it before starting and after finishing the task. The start and end times are captured in adjacent cells. If the user starts the work, and goes on a lunch break say for 20 min, comes back finishes the task and captures end time, the time difference will not consider break time which is non productive. How can I incorporate something like 'pause' option so that before he goes for lunch he can temporarily pause the time.

Display End Time Automatically Upon Entering Start Time And Time Usage
I have a worksheet which contains START TIME in column A, then TIME USAGE in column B and END TIME in column C. User enters start time, followed by the number of time usage in minutes, how could i possibly display the end time automatically in this scenario? how do you add the entered time usage to the start time to display the end time? Say if I enter 1:00 AM at start time and 00:15 minutes on time usage, how can 1:15 AM be displayed on the end time automatically?

Adding Time :: Number Of Minutes Worked Each Day
I import via copy paste into excel from a timekeeping programme the following time I have worked each day, as an example: Mon 7h 55m Tues 6h 30m Wed 7h 24m etc Is there a method of changing this in excel to work out the number of minutes I have worked each day? The timekeeping programme does not let me alter any parameters, so h & m is what I have.

Automate Macro Start On Time & Stop At Later Time
Can I adapt this code so that users receive the alert if they try and go to the next field without filling in the required ones, or - better - to combine it with a code that does not run a macro, but instead gives the alert, if the required fields have been missed. (I don't require anything to do with printing, this was the closest code I could find) Private Sub Workbook_BeforePrint(Cancel As Boolean) If Sheet1. Range("A1").Value = "" Then MsgBox "Cannot print until required cells have been completed!" Cancel = True End If End Sub

To Calculate The Difference Between The Start Time And End Time
This may be a bit vague but here goes. I have to calculate the difference between the start time and end time of a job. The only catch is, how can I avoid calculating "out of hours" time. So, if a job goes from 9am to 9am the next day, I want it to avoid calculating between the hours of 23:30 and 03:30. Another example is if a job goes from 02:00 to 04:00, I want it to avoid the tim between 02:00 and 03:00. If there is a difference in days, so the job goes overnight, how do I take that into consideration also.

Calculating Task Completion Time In Working Hours
The below is for Excel 2003. I want to set up a spreadsheet that can show my work is completed within a service level agreement, based on working hours of 9-5 Monday-Saturday. I want to be able, for example, to log that a piece of work is reported at 09:00 on a Monday and completed at 10:00 on Monday and for excel to calculate that as 1 hour until completion. Fine so far. But what if that job was closed at 10:00 two days later? Based on an 8 hour working day, that should be 17 hours. And what if a bit of work comes in at 17:00 on the Saturday. No one works the Sunday. Say the job is completed at 10:00 on the Monday. that should calculate as 1 hour to completion. The SLA I'm setting is 4 hours.

Break Down Time Frames

Count Number Of Full Time Periods Within A Time Period
I have thousands of timestamps that have a start & end date and time in 2 separate columns. (one named start and one named end...) I also have numerous set time periods that i'm interested in.. (about a dozen or so) for example 01/01/2008 - 05/01/2008, 07:30:00 - 10:00:00 What i need is to be able to count the number of times the full time period i am interested (07:30:00 - 10:00:00) in falls in between the thousands of start and end timestamps i have. The time periods must also fall within the date range specifed. So if my timestamps were Start: 01/01/2008 06:30:00 & End: 02/01/2008 11:00:00, based on the set time period above, there would be a count of 2 and if my timestamps were Start: 01/01/2008 07:05:00 & End: 02/01/2008 09:00:00 there would be a count of zero as there is not a full uninterupted timeperiod 07:00:00 - 10:00:00 between these timestamps. and if my timestamps were: Start 01/01/2007 07:00:00 & End 02/01/2007 10:00:00 the count would be zer as this is a year early!

Calculating Time, Potential Lunch Break
I am creating a worksheet where employees schedule work throughout the day eg task 1 will be start time 9am, finish time 11am. The result is 2 hours to do the task. The problem i'm having is that I need to do a calculation that if a task includes lunch then the result takes an hour away from the task time. eg task 2 will be start time 12pm, finish time 3pm, excel displays 3 hours, i need it to say 2 hours because 1-2pm is contractual lunch. I can't just do a day formula that says minus 1 from total as this is task orientated and will vary depending on start and finish times of each task.

Convert Time Range To Total Minutes
I have the following time ranges that need to be converted into total minutes. Examples (from easiest to most difficult)... The items below are in column A (each range is the content of just one cell): 00:00-13:00 06:30-13:15 13:30-13:15 (this spans two days, so it's actually 23H and 45M) 23:30-03:00 & 16:00-22:10 (only the first time range matters; the second can be omitted) So for 00:00-13:00, we have 13H and 0M = 13 * 60 = 780. And for 23:30-03:00, we have 3H and 30M = 3.5 * 60 = 210. But how do I automate this process with the text entries above (and hundreds more that are imported in this format).

Calculate Time, But Round To Nearest 15 Minutes
I am trying to calculate the time between two cells and have the answer in hours, with two decimals, but in .25 minute increments. Desired result: 1/1/07 12:00 in A1 1/1/07 14:10 in B1 1.25 in C1 0-7 Minutes - round down to 0.00 8-22 Minutes - round to 0.25 23-37 Minutes - round to 0.50 38-52 Minutes - round to 0.75 52-60 Minutes - round to 1.00 Because this is billable time, the number is never negative, so I don't need the formula to verify the first date/time cell is less than the second.

Return Time Intervals Based On X Minutes
I have a spreadsheet set up that has a series of timestamps and values. Please find a copy attached. I need to set up a macro that will allocate the timestamp in column C to an interval of time, e.g between 12:30 - 13:00. To achieve this I tried to set the following code up in VBA, which would input a letter in a blank cell based on the time interval that the timestampin column C falls into, for example if the timestamp is > 12:30 and < 13:00 then "A"...the plan was to extend this concept to accomodate all of possible the time intervals I have. Sub time_intervals() Dim x As Integer Dim lastrow As Long Dim timeA As Date Dim timeB As Date Dim timeC As Date Dim timeD As Date Dim timeE As Date The idea was that the timemaster value would be the timestamp in column C of my spreadsheet and the timeA,timeB,timeC etc would reference the timeintervals. However this does not seem to work as the value returned by my if statement is always incorrect - for example timemaster in cell C2 is less than timeA but the if statement always returns FALSE as opposed to "A"

Run Macro Based On Time In Cell Every X Minutes
1st post. Very basic understanding of Excel / Macros / VBA but I have searched and still not quite able to get what I'm looking for. I would like to be able to manually put in a TIME in a cell, and have a macro run at set times before that TIME e.g. something like If TIME in cell A1 =(hh:mm minus 30mins) run macro 1, If TIME in cell A1 =(hh:mm minus 5mins) run macro 2 It was suggested to me to use vba code that would constantly check the time against the system time and as soon as it is 30 mins before the time in cell A1 and the 30 mins flag in cell B1 was ‘N’ then it would run macro 1 code and set the 30 mins flag to ‘Y’ to show that macro 1 had been run. and that this could also do the same for the 5 mins event
