Any Way To Have Multiple Users Edit Excel Spreadsheet When On Company Server?

Not exactly what year of Microsoft Excel we have at work buts its between 2007 to 2010.
Doing our weekly KPI on a friday is super stressful and if there is a way so multiple users can edit the excel spreadsheet at the same time?
Because with our excel spreadsheet only one person can edit the document at a time very frustrating at the end of a day on a friday.
Is it just Microsoft not allowing more than one editor at a time?

We have a place where all our documents are stored. We have a log where we all log in what we're working on. Our trouble is, if one person has it opened nobody else can add their items to it. Is there anyway to have multiple people be able to open and enter their work for the day, save and close it out?

I've created a model that uses an add-in to calculate otherwise cumbersome formulas, and 4 or so people need to access this model at any given time. It's saved (along with the add-in) in a public folder on our network drive. Everyone is able to access the model, and is able to load the add-in directly from that folder, but the cells that use the add-in point to where the add-in is stored locally on my drive (C:Documents and SettingsmeApplication DataMicrosoftAddIns) and thus they are not able to use the add-in functions without redirecting every reference to me with references to their add-ins (basically just by finding and replacing every 'me' with 'them' in those cells at this point). So I guess what I'm wondering is how do I make it so the add-in is 'universal' (instead of local) such that as long as each user has the add-in loaded they can fire up the model and use the needed functions.

Is it possible to allow access to multiple users on one spreadsheet but they can only access one tab at a time each?

I have a speadsheet, and at the moment, another spreadsheet access it via a vb code. but i have 3 - 5 agents needing it sometimes at the same time. All that happens, is the agents excel sheet passes some info to the server sheet, so the vb codes opens and closes it. So only one person can do it at the same time.. but i need this so anyone of the agents can enter info via the vb code.
When i tested it, it asked me when i opened it, if i wanted to save what the last person did, I need that not to come up, so really its like the sheet is always open, but not... and lines are added. The info is added to the same sheet, and line by line.

I have recently installed excel 2007 how do you edit and ODBC query from the spreadsheet. In 2003 you right clicked on a cell that opened a dropdown where you selected edit query.

I have created an example of a "Waiting List" for the college, everything I had done seemed to be working before I left for my holiday (apart from the search facility as I was still doing some problem solving, compiling and coding for it).
The Idea is to : Open Excel Document and be greeted by the "Hello" Userform
[Problem #1: This does not automatically show since I have returned from holiday, though there seemed to be no problem with it prior my escape.]Choose from three options;"Save and Exit" saves any changes on/in the database and closes the document"Insert Data" opens "Userform1" to allow users to enter a new row under the exsisting rows of data.
[Problem #2: The data in the sheet was all entered using this feature, but yet again since I have returned from holiday it keeps adding the data only on row 2]
[Problem #3: How to do Auto Formatting i.e. Postcode in Capital Letters]"Search" will open the "Search" userform which I hope to allow users to choose up to three column headings and enter the value to search that column with the parallel textbox value.
[Problem #4: The data which meets the criteria the most is listed into the listbox, if you select a piece of data (double click or "selected") it opens a new userformThe "Edit/Enrol" Userform allows user to Edit, Enrol or archive the row of data.the last Userform I created "Course" is for an admin of the workbook to choose a course and it be auto populated by the information in the worksheet "Code" and create a Mail Merge.

I have a sheet which has many columns in it, all columns are protected except column B. When I want to enter data always I have to insert a column in column B. When I clicked insert button, my B column move to C and B column become protected and C become unprotected. My query is always I want B column should be protected (even if i clicked on insert column button too).

I have a sheet that I have added protection to (Tools / Protection / Protect Sheet) with a password (PostItNote). Before I protect the sheet I have allowed users to edit ranges (Tools / Protection / Allow Users To Edit Ranges). I have made my selection of the cells that users are allowed to edit and protected the sheet. I now want to run a macro that will un-protect the sheet (in order to allow the macro to edit the protected cells) make some changes and then re-protect the sheet. The macro runs as it should do but when it stops I am unable to edit the cells that I allowed users to edit? For some reason the areas that I enabled users to edit have been changed allowing users to only edit far less cells that I originally set!

I need to design a spreadsheet in Excel that keeps track of annual expenses for the company car, but have no numerical data.
The only information given is the labels needed to be used, such as main heading, date, mileage, petrol, maintenance, registration, insurance, subtotals, averages and main totals. I've designed the spreadsheet with date - subtotal at the top of each column, with total and averages on the left hand side, under all the months (so the answers to both the total and averages would be in each column)
I also need to write a formula to work out the averages of everything and the formula I thought would be right is giving me this error message: #DIV/0!

I'm trying to identify a way of setting up a booking system for some meeting rooms we have at work. Always looking for a way of simplifying something that soaks up one of my colleagues time.
I read this post about a golf booking system and it looks like it could be adapted to suit, I can imagine a different worksheet for each room and the fields for entry on choosing the timeslot being the meeting title, who booked and a contact number and the slot showing the meeting name when hovered over possibly.
I noticed a similar thread about Outlook, I know nothing about this sort of stuff within Outlook and not sure it may be possible. I am just in my infancy with hyperlinks and macros and do not feel confident enough to start there as I do not know where to begin. Keen to learn and would love to figure out and play around within a program; learn best this way.

I have a spreadsheet that is very large and formated a certain way. I want to make sure that a user cant put the cursor in the lower left corner and copy cells by dragging, copy & paste, or do anything other than input data and be able to highleght text and reinput data in case they mistyped or misspelled the data.
ex: user clicks on cell E33 and types in '1234568' and then move to next cell. The user can click back on E33 and can correct by retyping. That is all the user is allowed.
The cells in question are also in ranges if this helps. EX: 'E33:AJ67'

we've been using this spreadsheet as a timesheet since May of 2002. Recently in the past couple of days when we try to update an employee's time and date of work done by clicking on an update button on the first Worksheet, an error (Runtime Error '1004' Method 'Range' of object '_Global' failed) pops up.

I currently have a spreadsheet setup on a Macro to send & distribute a message from an 2007 Excel file to multiple users through Microsoft Outlook 2007. It is currently setup to send as an attachment. I need to find a way to have this file be sent as a PDF file. I know you can save Excel as PDF's so there must be a way to send them & attach them to as a PDF.

I've written a spreadsheet for others to use, protected it (except for cells where data input is required). Almost like an App for sales people to prepare quotes. I want it to appear fullscreen only with formula bars and headings permanently hidden so feels the experience for the User is similar to an App.

The code that I'm using is supposedly not allow spreadsheet to be opened after a certain date, or does not allow a user to press any of the command buttons and comes up with a message saying the spreadsheet is closed for new entries.But is not working for me.

I have a nested if formula that isn't working and I know there is a real simple fix.
Here is the situation: If Company A (A1) and Company B (B1) both have indices greater than 125, I want that to show that in my recommendation. For example: I used if(A1>125&B1>125,"Company A and Company B",if(A1>125,"Company A", if(B1>125,"Company B","None"))). For whatever reason, the first nested if statement isn't working correctly. what I am doing wrong with this if/and statement?

I am making a spreadsheet that allows users to select items from a validated data list. Each item in the list has a numeric value in an adjacent column. When the user is entering data they will select from a drop down of the data list in column "A" and I would like to have the numeric value that corresponds with their selection to then autofill in column "B".
