Any Way To Show Axis At Hourly Interval But Keep All Data In Chart?

I have got a lot of data to put in a chart that updates every 5 minutes with new data - i have a chart that Line chart that shows this.
It shows the cost of something every 5 minutes.
I have put this in a chart using offset but obviously i want to show the cost over the course of the day - because this updates every 5 minutes, the axis at the bottom (which has the time of the data) is massive and doesn't look good.
Is there a way to show the axis at an hourly interval but keep all the data in the chart?
How can I add missing values to the axis in a pivot chart line chart? I have a numerical X-axis with values such as 0,1,5,8,14, etc. I have another set of Y values that correspond to the X values. If this was an XY-scatter plot I'd be able to plot X vs. Y and connect the dots for "gaps" in the X values. Since it's a pivot chart I cannot use an XY-scatter plot, I can only use a line chart. The line chart doesn't give me the ability to add the "missing" values, so it gives the impression that my data is more closely packed than it is. The data source is external to my spreadsheet, so I cannot add the values before creating the pivot table/chart.
I have a chart that feeds from dynamic ranges which contain whole rows of null enteries displayed as #N/A. The charts do not plot these enteries (as it shouldn't) however it does display the category label even if it too is #N/A. Is it possible to remove the category label if all data for that row is null. ie the label is also removed from the chart.
I have a column of "timestamp" data (in mins) which i want to filter by a given time interval, say 10 mins. Then i want to count the number of records for each time interval and output the data to a sheet. how can i achieve this? through vba?

I have a spreadsheet with golfers handicaps, golfers names down the left in column A in rows 3-35. Row 2 has the event numbers titles 1 to 18 (18 events in a year). i need a graph that has the person as the vert axis and the horizontal axis needs to be the event numbers, so i can read down for the person and across to see how there handicaps change from each different event. i have attached the data below.
I have some numeric data that has to be put on a log chart. but there is no option for log charts. so i converted my data to log and then drew a chart but i am unable to edit the axis intervals and starting axis value. whenever i change the value it gets back to its default value,ie 1. can anyone tell me how to draw log chart or how to edit axis intervals and starting axis value?
So I added a x-y scatter series to a line chart (in order to add a vertical line to the chart) and now I'm having a problem with the x-axis. It lets me select the start and end date, but when I put it on auto is starts 1 day before the data does. For example, if my data starts on 5/1/2011, the x-axis starts on 4/1/2011 and the there is no data point at that date.
I could manually change this, but the data is dynamic so the start date changes. Since I can do formulas in the format axis tab (date+1).
how to incorporate another category and value axis to my existing chart.
1. I need to add a rank axis derived from my data column (C6-C15). This column should rank from highest to lowest and create a tie if any number is repeated. I have arranged the rank column in cells B38:L38 as they would appear. I would like this to appear on the top or bottom of the bar graphs.
2. Second I need to add the frequency of hits which = 3 derived from cell J1 This should appear on the chart were it is currently titled. This should create another bar graph colored green and labeled 3.
3. Lastly the numbers axis can remain the same as it appears on the chart or if it would be better to align as shown in cells B43:L43.
I have created a chart but for some reason rather than the names appearing there are numbers. I did the chart successfully and then removed the data so that I could input another team's results and this happened.
I would like to create a chart with stacked columns. Usually, the data on the Y-axis is some kind of numerical data, such as budget. I would like to have the Y-axis have non-numerical data (= nominal categories).
Example : Take the following data : category | productname red berry red carrot green cabbage green apple
The ouput format i want is a chart which shows on the horizontal axis the categories red and green, and stacks in each category the right productnames on top of eachother; preferably each productname should have a different colour and showing data labels (e.g. "1", "green","apple" could be 1 specific data label).
I don't know how to achieve this, because if you display data as "count of productnames", then automatically you get something like a block with value 2, which doesn't show the different productnames inside that block.
I have several worksheets with thousands rows (independent variables) and hundreds columns (all dependent variables). I need to know how the values in each row are distributed, and I ideally plot a 2D column graph of the distribution. Is there a way to do that and create/program a macro (with relative button on the workboook) that does it automatically once clicked?
Very often there are outlying values (bigger or smaller by a factor of 1000 or even more), mistakes, which I would like to identify and fix possibly.

I have some simple data and i want to create a horisizontal bar chart with 2 axis (X axis) the top one showing number of stocks number up to 270 and the bottom with Market Cap up to 1,200. (See attached). I set up the chart and it looks fine but it has only one axis so in order to create a second axis i right click on the blue series (no of Stocks) and go through the motions of setting up a secondary axis. However when i do that it ends up looking like the chart to the right with the Bars Cojoined (which is not what i want) I cannot seem to achieve 2 axis with separated bars
I have an excel work sheet with 2 columns and hundreds of rows. The first column is time in minutes over a number a years and the second is a list of corresponding data readings (numbers). I want to only select on the hour data from the list however I cannot seem to do it. The times vary in the sense that they are not all just 1 minute apart, some are every minute, then there might be a 10 minute gap in data, a few more minutes, then another gap etc.. All I want to be able to do is to select all the on the hour data from the list and its corresponding data value.
I have a list of days and hours, and data for whether a type of event either did or did not occur for each sampled hour. I need to return a new value, some sort of "Event Day" value, which will essentially tell me if an event occurred at least once for each day.
Attached is a sheet with 4 days' worth of data. Jan 1st and 3rd 2006 are my two "Event Days".
To complicate things, I can't be sure I have 24 hour readings for each day, so I can't assume each day is a data range (e.g. A1:A24). Hours might be missing. (As such, I am trying to organise along the lines of IF the preceding cell is the same date...)
I also have lots of data stored as months, so would love a formula I could just autofill down. All it needs to do is effectively flag up for me when a day has experienced one event.

I have a simple piece of code that creates a chart using the the values in column A as the x-axis and the values in column E as the y-axis. The values in Column A are all dates in this format: mm.dd.yyyy. However, when I collect the x-values they always appear as numbers (1,2,3). Even if I format the axis to Dates, they appear as 1.00.1900, 1.02.1901, etc.
Here is the code (also, I would like a VBA solution but if this is with excel's chart tools, so be it).

I am trying to create a column chart/graph with "Days Past Due" on the x-axis and "Quantity" on the y-axis. In other words, data from one column needs to make up the x-axis and data from another the y-axis where the bars will rise to meet that quantity. I was wondering if this is possible. I have not been able to find a way to make it work so far. I know there is a way to do it for a line graph through XY scatter, but I need a column chart.
Probably is in the wrong forum, let me ask a question to justify it being here. How can I force the y-axis min & max to be a particular number. If that isn't possible, how can I add a straight line to indicate the min & max?
