Auto fill series based on Condition.(Excel 2003)
I know very little about macros (basically just concepts). I found this macro suggested in another thread (posted By VoG II…Thanks)
Sub test()
Dim Lastrow As Long
Lastrow = Range("A5").Value + 4
Range("B5").AutoFill Destination:=Range("B5:B" & Lastrow), Type:=xlFillSeries
End Sub
When this macro is run the first time it will fill in the numbers 2 through 15 (as I had hoped). Given 15 is the variable and 1 is the start of the range...

I am trying to use the auto fill series but I need the series to start over every time the value change in another column.
If i use the auto fill series, it will copy 1,2,3,4,5 and so forth til the end of the column. In this case, i need the auto fill or some other function that will restart once it encounters a different value under the ID column. I've started below to show an example.
IDNo
0.11141
0.11142
0.11143
0.1121
0.1122
0.1123
0.1124
0.1125
[code]....

I am trying to auto fill a column to create a string using the sequence "01-01-XX, 01-02-XX, 01-03-XX" etc.
When i use a formula to increase the number in the middle column it reverts it back to a number format and drops the 0, is there anyway around this?

I have a excel sheet of data numbers which blongs a packet of inventory where i found number series like this:
Start Range End Range Qty
2101200 2101499 300
I have to draw this onto a series like 2101200 then 2101201 then 2010202 etc.
but some time these numbers are in qty 30000 or more. I have questions
1- If any macro colud fill series suppose if write number in A2 and qty in B2 so it reads the qty of b2 and fill the series in A. If i write 1 in A2 and write 50 in B2 so the series should be auto fill 1 to 50.
My Second question is opposit of my above question.
2- if i have different number series in column a and i want them to be as start number in column b and end number in column c and qty in column d based like mentioned below example.
Series [b]Start Range End Range Qty
1 1 1 1
3 3 3 1
5 5 7 3

I have the following list of numbers
0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0100
0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0101
0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0102
and I need to continue the list to
0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0326
I tried dragging by the grip in the bottom right hand corner but it changes the first didit only. I tried to put it the numbers in the format
100
101
102
and using a custom format number to put in the extra zeros. This worked fine until I used a countif (or it may of been a lookup) statement in my code to look for 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0100 and it can't find it as the number is 100. Is there away around this that will save me typing in an awful lot of zeros.

I need to be able to fill a cell in the same row based on values in two other cells in different columns.
Current Layout. Call these columns A, B, and C
I have 3 different states I work with, OH, IL and PA. There are different tax exemptions based on whether or not the class is RES or COM.
Conditions:
State = PA, Class = RES, Tax Exempt = 1
State = PA, Class = COM, Tax Exempt = Null (not "0")
For all other states, Tax Exempt will always = 1
I need the VBA code that will autofill column B with the proper Tax Exempt status based upon columns A and C.
The code I have now just looks at the first value in columns A and C then fills all of column B with that number.

I am trying to work out the best way to do a spreadsheet to give me indicative costs. MOst of the costs are based on crowd size for an event, so when I enter the expected crowd size, I want the table to fill with the appropriate rates to give me a calculation of the costs for each line item.
My plan is to have a separate table or spreadsheet which lists all the rates for the various crowd sizes and as soon as you enter the crowd expected, it refers back to this table and auto fills the relevant values. To add complication, the rates can change for weekends and public holidays so I may need additional sheets to cover these scenarios. Below is an example of what I'm trying to do.
A B C D
CROWD SIZE
Cleaning
Electrician
Staff
Another table
CROWD: 10000 20000 30000
Cleaning $15,000 $18,000 $20,000
Electrician $500 $500 $500
Staffing $1.50 $1.20 $1.00

I have a single registration sheet that lists names, contact information, and the class someone is in on a single sheet.
(Name, Number, Email, Class 1, Class 2)
I am hoping to automatically populate other sheets in my work book based on classes... essentially making automatically populated rosters. For example, everyone who has Math listed in either Class 1 or Class 2 would have their entire row (with contact information, etc) copied to the "Math" sheet.

I'm working on a workbook that already exists and that contains multiple worksheets (A,B,C,D,...), each with specific info (each row consists of an item name (item 1, item 2, item3,...)and all characteristics of this item).
We now want to add a help page for each worksheet :
A => A help
B => B help
...
So for each item (=row) in sheet A, there should also be an according row with additional info in A help
First, I used static hyperlinks to switch from the item in A to the corresponding help in A help. However the item list can be extended in the future (meaning rows inserted) and this will cause these links to fail. Therefore I switched to dynamic hyperlinks by inserting names (in stead of the original cell names) for each item in both A and A help. This involves a lot of work since you have to give all the involved cells a unique name and you have to refer to this unique name when you set up the hyperlink.

On sheet 1, I have dates in column A, then numbers under LabA through C. On sheet 2, I would like the contents of columns B, C, D to autofill when entered. However, I would like to display only the last entry. For example, Lab A (column B) is currently showing "7" in cell B6, if I enter a number in B7, I would like for sheet 2 to autoupdate cell B3 and display that new entry instead of the "7".

Excel 2003, I have a list of products with corresponding prices located on a hidden worksheet. I have a spot on another worksheet where users can select a certain product and next to that cell there is a column for price. What I want excel to do is auto-populate the price cell based on what product the user selects. For instance, if the user selects OD2000N, then I want the price to auto-populate with the corresponding price that is found on the hidden sheet. Like I said before, I know this has probably been answered, maybe even mulitple times but I can't seem to find the appropriate thread.

This is a spreadsheet for a real estate office. The boss gave me a spreadsheet that he created to give a seller an idea how much money he will walk away with at closing. The spreadsheet includes all of the pertinate numbers but there is one item that he would like to have filled in automatically. When selling a house, you use a title service that charges a fee based on the price of the house. So, for example, If the house sells for $0 to $50,000, then let's say the fee is $112. If the house sells for $50,000 to $60,000, then the fee is $118. If the house sells for $60,000 to $70,000, then the fee is $125, and so on up to 1.5 million.
The boss' spreadsheet includes 5 different selling price scenarios, which I guess doesn't matter since you do the first one and the rest follow the same pattern.
So how do I automatically fill in a cell based on how one number falls within a range of other numbers? The fee schedule will be within the same spreadsheet, if that matters.
Ideally, I think they should be separate files, but this will be used in various locations as different realtors take it home or use it on their laptops.

Is there anyway to automatically fill the empty added cell after inserting a row without using the fill handle? For example, for a series of numbers: [URL]
2. Drag the fill handle Selected cell with fill handle across the range that you want to fill.
Or running balance: [URL]
2. Extend the running balance formula into the new rows by selecting the last cell in the balance column and then double-clicking the fill handle.

I have a list that is streets and addresses. All contained in column A. Cell A1 is the street name and then Column A3 is the street number. This repeats down column A for almost 1000 street names. I need to fill column B3 with the street name, as well as B4, B5, B6, etc until the street name changes. I was trying to do this with an if..then but couldn't get it to work. I also tried to work on a do.. loop looking for the change from a string to number. But my programming is a little rusty. If anyone can help I was be forever grateful. I mean the alternative is to sit here and copy and paste all day.

I want to run a series of cells but how to do it. E.g.
Cell A1 to contain the data 2A
the next cell (A2) to read 2B
the next 2C etc etc
I've tried just dragging the cells down but it just duplicates 2A, 2B, 2C whereas I want it to fill the next cells as 2D, 2E etc
And I've tried using the fill series option but neither seems to be working (presumably due to the letter).

I want to fill in the formula ='Sheet1'!a2 etc, to fill column A in sheet2!
When I highlight and drop down to fill excel fills the column in increments of five like i need but doesn't start on the right one. Instead it fills the formula as ='Sheet1'!a6, (For cel A1) and ='Sheet1'!a11, (for cell A2) and so on.

I can't for the life of me piece together the method, properties and syntax for doing this.

The Fill Handle completes the series, but not the way I want.
I want a series that changes the day only. So:

03/02/2012 09:00
04/02/2012 09:00
For whatever reason, Excel currently adds a minute or two to the minutes and does not increase the date.

Prior to declaring a variable i used this code and it worked:
Sheets("442000ON-1+6").Range("C7").formula = "my formula"
range(C7).select
Selection.AutoFill Destination:=Range("C7:N7"), Type:=xlFillDefault
Than i declared a variable b/c i have a number of formulas i need to use but still needed it to fill the formula in a series after the formula ran. I started getting an error.
Fix was:
Dim formula1 As String
formula1 = "=SUMIF(Pivot!$A$6:$A$108,'442000ON-1+6'!$C$3,INDEX(Pivot!$B$6:$BP$106,0,MATCH('442000ON-1+6'!$B$1,Pivot!$B$5:$BP$5)))"
Sheets("442000ON-1+6").Range("C7").formula = formula1
Range("C7").Select
Set SourceRange = Worksheets("442000ON-1+6").Range("C7")
Set fillRange = Worksheets("442000ON-1+6").Range("C7:N7")
SourceRange.AutoFill Destination:=fillRange
