Above is a table we have for high level tracking on specific tasks due for projects.
What I want to do is: If the last cell in a column = Jan then it will automatically copy the whole column and insert it into a Sheet named January and have it automatically update. Below is the end result.

Autofill column B with sequential values based on whether value in column A changes its value.
I would like to autofill column 'B' with sequential values (i.e. GenoMap1, Genomap2, Genomap3,... GenoMap10, GenoMap11, GenoMap12,... GenoMap104, GenoMap105, etc...), but changing to the sequential GenoMap# only when the value in column A changes.
This is what I imagine.
A1 "Alfiero", B1 "GenoMap1"
A2 "Alfiero", B2 "GenoMap1"
A3 "Alfiero", B3 "GenoMap1"
A4 "Allocati", B4 "GenoMap2"
A5 "Amaranto", B5 "GenoMap3"
A6 "Amaranto", B6 "GenoMap3"
A7 "Amaranto", B7 "GenoMap3"
A8 "Ambrosiano", B8 "GenoMap4"
A9 "Ambrosiano", B9 "GenoMap4"
A10 "Ambrosiano", B10 "GenoMap4"
A11 "Ambrosiano", B11 "GenoMap4"
I listed examples above of GenoMaps higher than 10 and 100 to show how I need them numbered.
I'm using MS Excel 2007 in Windows 7.

I have two columns, column Q and R. Column Q has Data Validation set, where you can only choose one of four options in any given cell between rows 2-250,000. When "Complete" is chosen, the cell turns green. Now when "Complete" is chosen in column Q, I need the cell next to it in Column R to auto-fill today's date. However, the date should not update to the next day. So if the cell autofills to today's date, which is 12/6/13, tomorrow, when the date changes to 12/7/13, the cell still reads 12/6/13.

Without VBA, once I set the formulas for A1:L1, I can use the mouse to autofill all columns until Im around row 27,000.
Id like to be able to run a check for the end of data in sheet 2 so that if the sheet2 changes, it will all be included.
The resulting sheet1 cannot have any null values, so a perfect end of data check is necessary.

I have a Listbox that outputs data to Column A. Is there a way to auto populate Column B with 4 items for each Entry in Column A?
The 4 items that will populate in Column B will always be the same.

Each sheet has the same basic formatting. A1 contains a name. B1, C1, D1 are column headers. B2:B is data. C2:C is data and always stops at the same row B2:B range does. The only differences between the sheets is that they might not stop at the same row. I want a macro that merges A1 vertically as shown in my spread sheet to the end of column B and C. I want a border around the merged data, as well as around the B data and the C data individually.

I'm wondering if it is at all possible to have a cell comment automatically update depending on what data is input in the cell (via user input, VLOOKUP, etc.)?
For example, if cell A1 contains the text "CHARLES" with a comment saying "Employee of the Month", and is then subsequently updated with the new text "JOHN" (again, via direct input, a VLOOKUP, data validation, etc.) is there a way to have the comment automatically update to say something else, such as "Team Lead" for example?
I've considered using VBA to accomplish my goal, but am unsure how to compose an effective code to do so. I've also considered perhaps creating a named table filled with all the different comment possibilities I would like to have used in this cell and then inputting a formula in either cell A1, or the comment contained therein, that would then call the corresponding text from that table based on the data in cell A1. Honestly, I'm not sure that what I'm trying to do is even possible;

I am currently working on a workbook designed for resource planning. It contains a worksheet named "The Team" which contains information about every person on the team. It has columns for First name, Last name, and Division.
There is also a worksheet for each division; Each contain 3 sections that are either inputs or formulas, with the people of that division in column A.
My issue is adding people into this workbook. At the moment, if I want to add people into this workbook, I have to insert a row in "The Team", fill out their info, and then go to their division's sheet and insert a row in each 3 sections. This is a rather tedious way to do it and I wanted to know if there was some way I could automate it.
At the moment, I have created a macro that serves to Insert a row and copy formulas, but leave constants blank. It is nice for inserting the rows, but I still have to manually go to the division sheet and execute the macro in all 3 sections.

Im entering formulas in cells that link it to other sheets. I have to change this monthly, and everytime i search to replace it takes a very long time since its updating it as it goes along. Can i disable autoupdate or stop it? it takes forever.

What I have is a sheet that is copied periodically from some source sheet, and on this sheet is a table. This sheet is called "Onsite Checklist Template" and it's table is titled "Checklist". I also have another sheet called "Loggers and Initial Notes" which has a tabled titled "Record", and then finally a title sheet call "Proj Details".
To clear this intro up - The sheets, in their order, is: "Proj Details", "Loggers and Initial Notes", "Onsite Checklist Template". The tables: "Record" on "Loggers..." and "Checklist" on "Onsite..."
When the user wants to make a new site visit, he/she fills in the requested date and then selects a button on "Proj...". When this button is selected, it copies the table data on "Record" and puts it on "Checklist", then inserts a new worksheet tab, always in the 3rd position (the title is based on the site visit date in which the user entered), which is a copy of "Onsite...". Now we have another sheet with a table called "Checklist1", and upon another new site visit, there will be another worksheet with "Checklist2", and so on.
On the "Onsite..." worksheet, there is a button on it which also gets copied with the worksheet so that every new worksheet has this copied "Checklist ???" and this button. I'm looking for a macro that, when the button is selected, will bounce the active sheet's table "Checklist ???" off of "Record" and make changes as needed.
"Checklist ???" data range is B11:M20 (the header is on row 10); "Record" data range is B29:Q78 (the header is on row 28); Column headers are titled the same, just that "Record" has 4 extra columns, 3 in the middle and 1 on the end. "Checklist ???" columns 1-12 to "Record" columns 1-7, 10-12, 14-15. The search criteria is the 4th column in both tables ("Trk #").
I need the macro to do the following:If it finds a match, then update "Record" as needed with data from "Checklist ???", changing whatever cell is different in the row that contains the matching "Trk #", so long as the cell on "Checklist ???" is populated (i.e, if a cell on the target row of "Record" has a value, but it's blank on "Checklist ???", then "Record" wins; if it's blank on "Record", but populated on "Checklist ???", the Checklist wins. If both populated but different, then Checklist wins.If a "Trk #" exists on "Checklist ???" but is not on "Record" then add the line to "Record" (the 1st empty row, table size remains)I see no need for any "delete" at this time.
My concerns: The last column on record (column #16) is the filtering column for the worksheet copy event and needs to be left alone (it's formulated to produce a "Yes" or "No")I would like the ability to adjust table sizes if needed without modifying the macroThe table rows on "Checklist ???" will not be changed, deleted, or altered in any way by the macro.

I have attached a sample spreadsheet – what I want to do is insert a column before the current column A and move the current column D in to it and auto fill for every non blank cell in column B. Also, there are different values in column D such as “B03” ,”B41” etc – so for example, it should auto fill B03 until it comes across either a blank cell in column B or it comes across a “B41” and then it should do the same until it comes across a “B42” or a blank cell again. This needs to continue till the end of the report.

What I need to be able to achieve is a function in my macro that will
a: Count the number of rows in the active sheet
b: Allow me to use this info in other functions, such as subtotals, autofills
After searching many sites I'm pretty certain the function I need to use is "rowcount".
I've managed to incorporate a loop using this function, which is fine when running the macro but not so good when you are stepping through 5000+ rows
RowCount = ActiveSheet.UsedRange.Rows.Count
For x = 2 To RowCount

ActiveSheet.Paste

So for me now it seems as though "x" should represent the number of row that has been counted in the above code. But when I try to use "x" in functions the macro falls over

I have a workbook with two sheets. The first one, let's call it the Main sheet, will be used to keep track of the touring artists of a record label. The second sheet contains a list of show venues with their respective contact info. Here's what the two sheets look like :

I have wookbook with a lot of sheets on it
The first sheet to be filled is called "Local Info"
In this sheet in the Active Cell "G7" the user must register a number between 0-500
This number must affect my next sheet called Competence Map Autofilling rows 7+8 from Columns A to AM
So If for example I put 83 in "local INFO" G7.
I will get 172 rows with text (the first 6 Headers) the 7-8 original and from 9-172 filled with the information given.

I am trying to write some code that keeps throwing me the error message "Autofill method of range class failed". But I cant understand why, I think it may have something to with my range notation:

The error is in the "Selection.AutoFill Destination:=("C" & LR & ":C" & LR2), Type:=xlFillDefault" line, however I cant figure out why? The code essentially takes a section of data from multiple worksheets, then pastes it onto the summary page. It then adds the name of the sheet the data has come from into column C next to the relevant rows.

The code below inserts a formula into E2, copies it across to column O and then down to the last row. It works fine but if more columns are added obviously it would need to be changed to go up to column P for example.
How can I change this so that the formula will be copied across to the last column automatically and therefore the code will not need to be changed?
