On some Military computers the Add-ins were not installed, therefore the WEEKNUM function cannot be used.
The task is to calculate the time interval (in whole weeks) between two dates.
(Every start date is to be calculated as a whole week – same for the End date).
I tried but the most but came up with the incorrect formula in the attached workbook.
Take a look at the attachment file. Those highlighted in yellow are entered by the user. What is the formula to calculate the End date in (A6) after the user has entered the start date (A2) & the number of weeks (A4)?
i am trying to create a forumla in a column (D in my expamle below) to count the number of days between two dates. Knowing that col D will change everytime the @now date changes - but thats ok..
COL A COL B COL D ROW 1 Open Date Closed Date Count of days open ROW 2 4/1/07 BLANK CELL Formula result here ROW 3 4/1/07 9/5/07 Formula result here
if col b has a date then subrtract col a from b and display the # result, if col b is blank then subtract col a from location I store the @ now date - say Col ZZ Row 99? so no matter there is a count of number of days in every row in column D
I have column B with a heading "Days Remaining" and column L with a heading "Deadline". starting with row 5, I need to be able to enter a date in L5 and see the days I have left, from that day untill today, on B5. I need to then be able to enter a date into L6 and see a result in B6 and on and on. Then I need to be able to insert or delete a column and have the formulas still work in the columns with the heading "Days Remaining" and "Deadline"
What is the best suitable formula to find "First blank cell", then "date difference" between today and its previous cell's (i.e today minus "C1" in this case).
I am currently usins Excel 2007 and would like to calculate the diferrence in hours and minutes (ideally in decimal e.g 4:30 should be reflected as 4.5) between two date and time groups, excluding the non-working time between 17:00 and 09:00, weekends and holidays. An 8 hour working day is to be used. I have attached a spreadsheet were I tried to achieved the above with little success.
I need to calculate the date difference between two dates and get the result in the number of years and proportion of months ie;
20/09/99 to 01/02/02 is 2.33333333 years. I can use the DATEDIF function to get 2 years 4 months as the result but for the calc I'm doing I need it in the format of 2.33333333. Thinking I just need to tweak the DATEDIF a bit but just can't work it out!
I'm trying to make a formula to calculate the difference in a date between two dates. For exaple, in my business we have a due day for something. So the due date could be Feb 10, we need to know if it was done on time, late, or early. So I've gotten it to display late by doing this: =IF(B2>A2, "Late", (A2-B2)) But then I can't figure out how to incorporate this: =IF(B2=A2, "On Time") or =IF(B2<A2, "Early").
I would like to displaly this all in one cell. So if the due date is Feb 10 and it's turned in Feb 8 it's early, turned in Feb 10 it says on time, turned in Feb 11 it's late. I also tried this but it didn't work: =OR(IF(B2>A2,"Late")*IF(B2=A2,"On Time")*IF(B2<A2,"Early"))
I have call data in date/time 06/07/08 2:00 PM custom format for a 2 month period. I have my regular opening times eg Monday 9-3, Tuesday 10-4. For each call I want to know if it was made during opening times or not.
I have a calendar. All months across the top, formatted as date mmm with content 1/2 2/1 3/1 4/1, etc. so the cells display Jan Feb Mar Apr, etc. All days down the side formatted as number displaying 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. All the days of the year are formatted as time h:mm.
I want to create a cell that shows me the total time for the last 14 days.
Trying to think of a formula that will tell me the number weeks stock I have, would like to put the formula in h6 and copy across giving me the weeks stock
Calculate the weeks cover of current inventory based on a sales forecast. the forecast is in weekly buckets so I was thinking using some form of loop statement within the function which basically starts with the inventory figure then subtracts the forecast week by week until the inventory figure is less than the weekly forecast. I should then be able to divide the inventory by forecast and add back the number of loops to give me the weeks stock figure.
I have done this using if statements but it will only allow me to use 10 statements in the function and I need to do this for a full years worth of forecast.
Does anyone have a suggestion as This problem is becoming quite frustrating.
I am looking for a simple formula that would look at column A2-A100 and calculate the whole number for the number of the week I am on. So in cell K22, I would like it to add up the A column and spit out a number 4, then on Monday when I add a new record I would like it to automatically update to a 5; indicating the 5th week I have been tracking the data. This number is needed to calculate the average amount in a work week accurately and automatically in cells K20 & K21. New weeks start on Monday and end on Friday. No data will ever have a date of a Saturday or Sunday. I have colored the cells currently to indicate what the number should be. There is 4 alternating colors now. The color coding is just for reference and will not be used going forward. Data will be entered weekly indefinately.
I am setting up some validation on my userform. In this case if a user enters a date within two weeks of todays date they will not be able to proceed onto the next page.
Example: Todays date is 19/03/14. If a user enters 25/03/14 into 'TxtDate' they will not be able to proceed.
I'm trying to automate the attached schedule so that the formulas in H stop increasing once the amount in column J equals zero. So far everything I've tried either gives me a circular reference error or ends up giving me the same result as if I depreciated the asset an additional month.
I can get the calendar control to come up and the value selected on the calendar to show up in a certain cell.
If a user selects a date that is not within a certain 12 week range, I want a message to appear ("date not within 12 week program"), and the user can't select the date.
I am storing nutrition data from a certain date the user chooses and it is a 12 week program from the start date. I want to retrieve info from those 12 weeks but do not want them to be able to select data outside the 12 weeks.
I want to add a numeric number eg: 4 to a date format eg: 15/08/2007 so that it calculates 4 WEEKS from 15/08/2007 and returns the CORRECT date in a date fomat itself. How do i do this through a VB code ?
I need to calculate the amount of time between two dates, and show it in the number of hours and minutes. My dates are formatted to show the time in Zulu time. So 1406 = 2:06PM.
Here is what I have:
A1 = 6/4/08 1406Z B1 = 6/5/08 0402Z
For this example, the formula should return a result of 13 hours and 58 minutes. With the result, there is no need to desingate Zulu time with a 'Z'. But I need the result in a format that will allow me to calculate an average for all my data.
I'm looking for a macro or formula that can calculate the difference to the lowest of col C based on option in colB. See attached. I complete what it should look like in F. Basically, this can be done by sorting the data by colB and using this formual for every group. =C2-MIN($C$2:$C$4). This is not ideal because I have many of these to do and you have to adjust the min range for every group. Plus group sizes will vary.
There has to be a better way. Ideally, I would not like to have to sort the data, unless a macro did it for me....
I am trying to figure out what formula to use to calculate the difference between the creation date and resolved date in hours and days. That is, In once column I would like to see the difference in 'hours' and in another column I would like to see the difference in 'days'.
I need to make formulas to count the number of weeks that each phase of a project takes, but I currently have the start and end dates of the phases. (See attachment)
...and I need to determine if the difference between them is daily, weekly, or monthly. There are 79 of these lists, on 79 different sheets so I can't visually peg them as daily, weekly, or monthly.
The way I have been looking at the problem is to calculate the number of months between the last & first dates and see if the resulting answer (+1) matches the number of actual dates, and so on...
how to calculate the difference in value of an item between two dates on a pivot table. I have one table that feeds the Pivot Table and it has three fields:
Data as of Date Item Value
So each day, the Data as of Date is updated to the current day and the items are the same but the values are different. I need to calculate the difference in value between the most recent date and x days ago. I cannot figure out how to do this via Pivot Table.
I'm just trying to calculate the difference between dates in two columns and applying conditional formatting based on if it is a positive or negative number. But when there is a null value in either of the date columns I don't want anything returned.
So far I'm either getting a 0 or a FALSE.
Column A = Date 1 Column B = Date 2 Column C = Formula
I am trying to determine the average reduction amount of appraised property values. I have two columns in my spreadsheet. Column H has appraised value of property. Column I has the accepted value of the property. Sometimes the accepted value is the same as the appraised value, sometimes it is reduced, and sometimes it is rejected.
I want to be able to find the average reduction amount when the accepted value is less than the appraised value and is not rejected.
Column H always shows a numerical value (i.e. $250,000), but Column I may have a numerical value or show "rejected".
