I have 18 drop down lists that are identical and named DropDown1, DropDown2, DropDown3, etc. Each one references cells (cell link) E1, E2, E3, etc respectively in another worksheet Lookup that is hidden. I am trying to write up some code that when the user selects any drop down, depending on which one it is, it passes certain values to another Sub which has cases. I got my first ideas from an old thread Drop Down List Box but there were no variables being passed.
My code originally worked with one variable being passed (x), but now I am trying to pass 2 (x and nrow) and I get an error in the Sub DropDown1_Change(): ByRef argument type mismatch. Below is my coding, I only included a few drop downs for this example. The Cases are based on the cell link (ie Case 2 is when the cell link shows '2' in the Lookup sheet) I only used a message box for testing purposes. I will have to do some other stuff but I need these variables passed first before I can continue

In it I want to change name "G" in column A to "X" in column C.
And I want to do it for month of May in column B.
So a match won't do the trick because Name G is in 3 times so it should match on G and May from columns A and B.
How to catch this in a simple VBA line?

Can a Function give two or more output variables. e.g.

this will give back Y as a result. But if I want to get 2 or more output variables (let's say I need to get also B into sub) from one function, how should I do that?
I need this because function works with large matrix and I want to extract some values appeared in between.
I'm trying to loop through a range in excel from access, checking where the titles (in Excel row 1) match with the fields (in a recordset in Access that is passed to the function) - and where they do, I want to dimension a variable to hold the column number - I'm not sure it's possible, but I'd be interested to know either way. i have a "problem" to empty / reset my variables. I defined them as vHour1_KW2 where the "1" is from 1 to 21 and the "2" starts from 1 to 53. Now I want to erase all of this variables or to set the value of them to "0".
At moment I use following

I have a situation that I cannot get my hands on. I have a set of Project Numbers in my Column A. (Will Try to post an example).
I need that everytime I change a number in my Column B that it will change all the numbers, in my column B, based on the matching Text in my Column A.

i have some existing code which is trigerred when anything is input into column c. The code then adds various information in another three columns. One of which pastes a vlookup formulae, and i would like this forumlae pasted into the column c cell which i initialy edited, in order to remove the requirement for one additional column.

I have tried changing the offset to (0,0) or changing the offset to 'target = ', which does add in the vlookup but then the macro debugs at the 'If .Value "" Then' code?

I need to display one of two words, based on whether or not a pair of values are above or below the criteria.
FIRST:
IF H6 is greater than 5000
AND
IF AB6 is greater than 25000
Display: Double
SECOND:
IF H6 is less than 5000
AND
IF AB6 is greater than 25000
Display: Single
There is no 3rd scenario, even though logically there should be.

I want to drag a formula however i want one of the values of the formula to change and the other not to change. for example:
c1=a1+b1
c2=a1+b2
c3= a1+b3

how can i make it do this when i drag? a1 is not just a constant and it depends on other parameters.
Attached is book in which, when a choice is selected from Drop Down list in ColumnF the macro has to do the need.
When the macro was written it was working well. But when I tried to change it as a Worksheet_SelectionChange event nothing is happenning even though a choice is selected from drop down list.
Basically the situation I have is Sheet2 has many references to cells in Sheet1. Sheet2 is for all intents and purposes a kind of nicely formatted report form, and Sheet1 is the input form.
My ultimate goal is to automatically resize row heights on Sheet2 when cell contents change on Sheet2.
Using a worksheet_change event isn't working I presume because it doesn't see the formula output change as a worksheet change, the worksheet_change is firing only when the input is changed in Sheet1.
how can I capture these formula output changes on Sheet2 (triggered from input on Sheet1) OR is there a way of making a particular sheets rows always adjust in height to best fit?
I'm coding a userform where there are some comboxes which are popolated by values coming from Sheet2. Up to now I work it out (maybe its not elegant but it works).
Now I would like that when the user selects one combobox the values of the other comboboxes are set accordingly to the grid in Sheet2.

Im trying to use an event change to change the sheet name based on a cell value, but my issue is how can I error trap if the sheet name is a duplicate? Here is what I have so far

I have used the below code to insert a new row when the value in coulmn A change. I now need to evolve it so that the new row will contain a specific value depending on the changing value:

I am trying to use COUNTIF with two critera. If this isn't possible is there any other way possible of doing this in a range of cells.

Column A would contain the status of the work e.g. open, in progress, closed etc.
Column B would contain the department: ict, development, operations, etc.
I want to do a summary that shows: How many are in ICT are open, closed etc.
I can do a countif to get the total open, in progress etc or total number of ICT jobs but not ICT In progress.
I am trying to add an additional criteria to the following sumproduct formula. The formula below works fine to add up values that are within a date range. However, I want to add values within a specified date range as well as one additional variable. The additional variable is in column G.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to make an excel funktion than can distinguish between 3 variables. The three variables are the outcomes of my first function which are 0, 1 and 2 these IF functions can be seen below:
=IF(B11>52;"1";"0")
=IF(B12>5;"1";"0")
Then when I have these results I have tried the following function:
=IF(C11+C12=2;"6-12";"4-6")
By using this function I get an output for 2 (true) and 0 (false), but I would also like an output for 1 (which would be 6 in my work)
It looks like this:
Var 1 58 1
Var 2 4 0
Suggestion 4-6
So in the above case where the sum of var1 and var2 is 1 it is only counted as false for not being 2 and therefore = 4-6 instead of what I would like it to be = 6 (for 1)
