This it possible to change an auto-shape text say Rectangle 200 based on what cell is selected. For Example Peps: -If i select cells(3,3) then the text in Rectangle 200 will change to Hello!!!, but if i select cells (3,4) then the text will change to Bye Bye!!! Do you understand me babes

is there a way of changing the speed of rotation of a shape?For example I want to have a cell in the following workbook that relates to speed that can be easily adjusted to increase or decrease the speed that the rectangle rotates at.

I have made several Shapes and assigned macros to them, all is good.
What i am curious about: is it possible to highlight or change colour of the shape on press and return to normal if another is shape is pressed? Just anything to make that particular shape stand out that it has been selected then return to normal when another shape has been selected...

I am looking for a macro that will copy the text-based contents of a random cell in the range B100:B135 to a callout text box. The name of the callout is Autoshape 13. The callout should be cleared before pasting the contents of the next random cell into it. This macro will be assigned to a button.

I have a bit of code that I saved as an add-in. The code does a couple things: (1) Creates a right-click button that on action (2) draws a rectangular auto-shape that is the size of any selected range.
The add-in seems to loaded correctly.
However, when I launch a new excel sheet, my intent was to have the code (the right click option) be available whenever I opened Excel.
Is there another step to accomplish this?

Have an .xls file with multiple sheets and many objects (Shapes) on of those sheets.
The objects are all rectangles, some of which contain text frames, where I had entered manually some text.
Also, each shape has a name.
Now, I want my VBA Macro to take a specific shape (using its name), and find out if it has text frame in it.

I have used VBA to copy data from a sheet into some shapes. Some of these shapes are upside down and therefore the text is upside down. Is there a way to flip the text without having to flip the shape?

I struggle with my old excel (2003). There is a thing i have to do: put arrows from one sheet which will change its color depending on data, written in some fields. Also there is a task to put these values inside created arrows. I put values using commands:

Arrows are drawn in different angles using drawing tool. So i need to rotate the text inside the arrows respectively to angle of the arrow rotation. So how is it possible to rotate text inside that shape?

I have a picture in my spreadsheet which slight tilted. I want to add a text box on to that shape and add some text but i want the text to be angled the same shape as my picture.
If I create and rotate my text box manually, the default rotation makes it rotate slight to much.
I was hoping if I could add a custom drawing of a text box so the text can be the same a picture.

I have a button on say, sheet1 with text that I want to change after a certain action takes place; however, I was trying to change this text without switching sheets. (switching sheets isn't a big deal, I'm mainly trying to do it my way for the practice). I'm able to select the button on the other sheet without actually switching sheets, but when it comes to changing it's text I get an error. Here is the code I tried:

Problem with this is it gives cell A1 on sheet2 the "done" text. I also tried this...but it gives the error.

I am working on a spreadsheet and using a validation list which is working fine. However i know want to have multiple validation lists that change depending on what you choose from the first one.
For example in the first list it would say, Vegetables, Frozen, Fruit etc
If i chose Fruit in the second list i want it to then list Bananas, Apples etc etc.

I have a spread sheet that I'm using to organize data from a web based database. I have a formula that shortens a document number (i.e. 93400034) to a julian date (i.e. 9340). My problem is that when I copy and paste the 2010 document numbers (i.e. 00240057) into the spreadsheet excel automatically changes the number to 240057. I've tried to format the cell to read it as text, but everytime I paste into the cell excel changes it back to general and takes off the leading zeros. Is there a fix for this.

I have an Excel schedule with subtotals and between 1 and 50 rows under each subtotals. The subtotals contain totals of the rows below them. Is it possible to link code to an object (say a 'down arrow' next to each subtotal) and when it is hit, it unhides the rows beneath the subtotals? At the same time the 'down arrow' changes to an 'up arrow' and when that it hit it re-hides the rows.
There is also the possibility that the user will unhide rows and move down the spreadsheet unhiding/rehiding other areas before coming back and wanting to re-hide the first area he revealed. When the spreadsheet is closed, all the arrows should revert to 'down arrows' and all the non-subtotals' rows should be hidden.

I have used the archive and Mr Excel and cobbled together a code which does what I want - that is to use a remote cell entry to update a specific page field cell in 4 pivot tables. I then use another remote entry to do the same to two secondary Page Field Cells in 2 of the 4 pivot tables.
However, if my remote cell has a number in it that IS NOT in the the pivot Page Field List then rather than breaking the code it simply overwrites (and therefore changes the value in the pivot table Page Field List) - disaster!!

I have created a dynamic chart in excel where either the number of Series or the number of Data Points will change dependent on user inputs in the model. I've done this using the Offset Function in a Defined Name in Excel and dropped this Defined Name into vba code using ActiveChart.SetSourceData.
Anyway, all works fine, pulling the correct data, etc. What doesn't work is the final appearence of the chart. The chart has a Legend placed at the bottom of the chart, as standard, unless there is only one Series, when I remove the legend altogether. Whilst the legend works fine, the Plot Area of the chart doesn't update automatically to accomodate the changing size / existence of the Legend. Does anybody know how to do this? I tried using hieght, etc properties, but I don't know how to make them variable

I have a Workbook that has 2 worksheets, one called CALL QUERY and one called CALL LOG. On the CALL QUERY sheet, cell D9 is a user inputted cell with the cell validation set to list. The user uses the dripdown list to pick an office identifier (3-Letter Code).
On the CALL LOG sheet, I have info about individual calls. Column E has the 3-letter office identifier for each call.
I am trying to find a way to automatically auto filter the list on the CALL LOG sheet with the user input in cell D9 on the CALL QUERY sheet.
I was given the following (N2 is a cell on the CALL LOG sheet that equals the user inputted cell D9 on the CALL QUERY sheet)

Let's say I have column C blank, but every time it's filled in with something I want column A to be today's date and B to be current time. Unfortunately, the functions NOW() and TODAY() don't give me what I want. They get recalculated every time that I update the spreadsheet.
Another thing that I can do is just press ctrl+shift+; to generate a non changing date/time, but I want it to happen automatically (being super lazy).

I need to send an email reminder to teachers on the day they have duty. I know how to set up an email that sends on a certain date, but I am unsure how to code it when the date changes. I have attached the spreadsheet.
In cell A 53, I have the date November 24th. In cell C53, I have the email address of the teacher doing duty that day. In cell F53, I have the date November 25th. In cell, I53 I have the email address of the teacher performing duty that day. On November 24th, the person in C53 should receive a reminder email. On November 25th, the person in cell I53 should receive a reminder email. I will have spreadsheet for every month of the year. So there will be LOTS of changing dates. How do I code this when the date keeps changing?

On the attached spreadsheet there is two irregular shapes. "Area1" & "Area2". I need to be able to determine which area the "ball" shape is located in. If the ball is in Area1 then "Multiply 8" gets the ball and "Multiply 9" moves to the blue cell "AH39". If the ball is in "AreaB" Multiply 9 gets the ball and "Multiply 8" runs to cell "S37"
I should be able to do the moving of the shapes using all the samples, its determining which area the ball is in is the problem.
In the real spreadsheet i will probably have around 10 different Areas.

I have an userform with 10 txtBoxes that I want to have the color changed based off another textbox Values (they will side by side, so when the user enter a value, it will know either it's excelent, good, average or bad based on the colors green, blue, yellow and red).
Is there a way to do so? Because all I have managed to do is to change one txtBox color per time, based on the value entered on the same text box (i.e. if I change the text box which should be changed, nothing changes).

So I have been playing around with the tab colors on my workbook and am trying to figure out the correlation between color brightness and the auto change from black text to white text. I've noticed that if the Green color value is higher, excel is more likely to use the black text. If Blue is high, white. Green takes precedence over Blue and Red is just kind of in its own world.how excel calculates this?

I am trying to auto-populate text in cells in area A, based on data I enter into other cells in area B. I want the area A cells to be for display only, as all editing will be done in area B. The problem is: how do I do this such that the text I write does not get cut off if is longer than the column width? I was wondering if there is a formula to change cell C2 to "Red" (One uppdercase, the rest lowercase) or if this was only possible through macro?
Also, would there be a way to combine B2 & C2? I apologize, but that was the only logical way I could think of to get the output in C2.

I'm trying to create a code that will convert a column into another pressure unit. And then go back and forth as a button is pushed. I have been having trouble getting the units to switch from one to the other and I think it's because I can't get the line to re-write a cell correct.

i have a spreadsheet that has 3 shifts. its a weekly data sheet. i have 52 sheets for every week of the year. so far i have a "data" sheet aswell. this is the first sheet. I use this data sheet to generate the information or the other 52 sheets. example is you enter the date of the first monday of the year and it generates the dates on all of my sheets for the whole year. i would like to do something similar for the shifts. i would like to have a cell the enter the shift of the first supervisor on that first monday and have all the shifts generate. 1=nights,2=days,3=afternoons. but i do not want the number to appear i would like the word. the set up goes like this:
DATA E9 = the first number for shift to generate all other numbers
A5 = cell to display first shift
A22= cell for the next shift
A39= cell for last shift
on sheet1 i have A5 as =sum(DATA!E9)
i would like A22 to be the shift after example if A5 as 2 for days than A22 would be 3 for afternoons and A39 would be 1 for nights.
preferably displayed as DAYS/AFTERNOONS/NIGHTS

Currently we do a lot of report crunching using Crystal Reports. We will then dump the data into an Excel sheet to run varying pivot tables or databases off of.
Often we will have a field that the formatting will not match up to anything in Excel. You can change the cell to Text, General etc. The main problem associated with this is running VLOOKUPs. The item we type in will not match up to the data imported from Crystal. We have to F2, the new data before it will match up which is a pain considering there can be anywhere from 30-1000 rows.
I'm trying to solve this problem in 2 ways. First can anyone tell me an easier way to do handle this?
Second, after trying many other things I thought about a macro that would automate the F2 process.
