Compare Multiple Rows And Pick Largest Value From A Column

See data in the attached image in Col A thru Col D. In Col E, I want to populate the max value for the same part # from Col C or Col D depending upon value in Col B.
I have included a sample of the expected results in Col E for illustration purposes.
For example Row 3,5,6 are all part # 1 with Col B ="Y", suggesting they are interchangeable parts, therefore, I would like the formula to have ability to pick 10 (since its largest between 3,10,0) from Col C.

See attached. This is a report that I have to do every month. I cant work out a formula for it. What I need is a formula that will pick out which is the largest Figure of column A,B,C,D for each row and put the corresponding header in column G. i have manually put these in. Would anyone know a formula i could use for this.

I have a single column with multiple rows of data like this: Afirst last, Bfirst last, Cfirst last (all in one cell) etc.
I want to type some names in one cell in the same format (Afirst last, Cfirst last, Bfirst last) but not order and then check if any of those names exist in the first column and count the results of matches.
So in this example I am looking to count Bfirst last and/or Cfirst last in every cell of column A. I need to use a formula.

I have a table showing interest levels in training courses from a group of schools, eg:
English Maths Science
School1 3 4 2
School2 7 1 0
School3 3 2 5
I want to identify the column heading for the first, second and third most popular courses. ie for School1 the most popular course is Maths, second most popular is English and so on.
I have tried using the OFFSET function, which worked if I provided the cell location of the required value. I then looked at the ADDRESS function to provide the cell location: eg For School2 find the 2nd most popular course:
=ADDRESS(ROW(A3),COLUMN(data?)+MATCH(LARGE(B3:B5,2),B3:B5,0)-1)
But I have got stuck with what I should enter for COLUMN(data?) as I do not know in which column the second largest value is.
I am sure Excel has the required functionality.

I have two to four columns with this content: w2s3esus who translated means 9 chars (the number before the letter is the time it appears). I want to compare the columns and pick the shortest one automatically like so:
column 1: w3s4nusun = 12
column 2: w5s2esus = 11
column result: w5s2esus

I want to compare two columns. I would like to see if the contents of column B appear anywhere in column A, for any amount of rows, and if it does, to place the match in col C.
So in the example below, red in B1 would be checked in A1 through A1000 or however long A is. When any row has red, place that match in that row for C.
This would be repeated until all rows in B are complete.
Example
Col A: red
Col B: red
Col C: red
Col A: red
Col B: blue
Col C: not found

I have a spreadsheet which will have several rows of data.
What I need is for some code to locate the duplicate values in the left most active column and then look over the rows that they are populating and delete and cells that are not present in each of the rows pertaining to the duplicate value in 1st Column and if possible remove all the blanks.
I have a sample, I will attach it and explain alittle better there.

I have one column of names in excel. The column may contain more than one row with the same name but these rows with the same name will all be grouped together. This is an exampe (each name represents a row in column A):

andrewData
julieData
julieData
julieData
jonathanData
jonathanData
What I want to do is copy the rows with the same information, e,g, the rows with 'julie' above, paste them into a new spreadsheet and email this spreadsheet to specific email addresses and then do the same for 'jonathan'.
I can work out how to send an email using VBA but I am really stuck as to how to go through the rows and send the email in discrete 'chunks'. I have tried using a for next loop, looping through the rows and copying/pasting rows that are the same as the previous one into a new spreadsheet but this does it one row at a time.
If I include the instruction to email the spreadsheet within the loop this would also email the new spreadsheet one row of information at a time, i.e. three emails for 'julie' each containing a spreadsheet with one row of information on it, rather than one email containing one spreadsheet with all three rows on it.

when the largest number in column B the hotel in column A should be in bold.
So in excel language IF(Number in B Is Max display corresponding hotel in column A as BOLD. But I can't figure out how to do this.

In the first vlookup it picks up a value. I need to do the same vlookup function but it should also pick up another value in column 9 and should add value in column 7 and 9 and return it. Employee id numbers are in column E in the first page.My formula checks for the employee id in Su sheet and retrieves the value from the seventh column. I need to retrieve also from 9 th column and add them together.

Is there a formula or function that allows me to always select the lowest (not min) actual lowest in a column? For example, I have a formula in A1 and I need it part of it to always reference the bottom of a certain range (i.e. A5.A200).
So one day the lowest would be A7 but a week later it could be A8. I don't want to have to keep changing the formula in A1 to find the lowest value. I will be adding data on a regular basis.

I am trying to write a macro in order to find the largest value in a column in one worksheet, and copy and paste that value into a different workbook. I have found a code similar to what I am looking for and tweaked it, but it needs a few more adjustments. The code below opens the file I want it to, and pastes data into the correct workbook and worksheet, but I would like it to be able to paste in the next empty cell in Row 3, instead of just in the cell "C3". Also i would like for the program to find the largest numeric value in column C, instead of using an if last row statement, as this current program does not always give me the output I am looking for.

I have huge sorting job in Excel.I have a excel file from each year.And I put these together to a huge excel file. And I need to track down the last activity if the customer is listed multiple times.I could just go through and delete the rows, but the last row.But, that takes a lot of time.

The attachment shows a ledger that I am trying to build. My goal is to automatically add the Ledger balance(G) at the end of each day to the Investment cash balance(J) column. Some days there are multiple Ledger transactions, other days there are none. If there were no Ledger transactions on that day I would like to use the last recorded Investment cash balance. (ex. on weekends there will be no transactions)
Note: I want exactly one balance, the ending daily balance, per day on the investment side of the worksheet.
I have struggled with this all afternoon. My goal is to make this as simplistic as possible for two reasons. 1) I am not a master programmer by any means. 2) I want this file to open on any computer the has a MSExcel on it without have to install any addins.
For these reasons I am thinking it would be best to stay away from macros, which I am minimally proficient at creating.
Let me know if you have any good tricks to solve my problem. If macros are the ONLY or absolutely the BEST way to do this, then I guess you can twist my arm an we can go down that avenue.

As per attached file, there are altogether 4 sub-files and 1 master file.
I'll need the code to automatically pick up the top 9 revenue(highlighted in Green) and top 9 EBIT(highlighted in Yellow) by values in Column N from 4 sub-files and paste to the master file.

I have some vba code that opens up notepad and populates it with data from Access 2010. Everything works great including the notepad function, the database, and how the data is stored and displayed in the table/form.
The problem: I want to display the service name not the ID in notepad
I passed the field that I want to include in notepad as a string. However, it returns the ID and not the name of the person.
I don't want to change anything in the form or field property because it works perfect as is.
Is there a way to pick which column to display in the Email by vba code?
Column 0 = the ID and Column 1 = the name

I receive hundreds of part numbers to quote daily. I send out RFQ's to my suppliers and they respond with pricing. I gather all the data into a similar excel sheet below and assign the wining supplier.
in automating a task that will compare the group of data for best pricing and populate a "WIN" code in column "A" if that supplier was chosen for the that qty pricing.

I have two columns in excel. Column “A” where I have different group names column "B" all the different numbers and column “C” where I have ranked based on column “A”. I need a formula that would pick a number that is ranked 51 with specific group. Currently I’m using below formula (where MC1 represents one of the groups)that is working great unless there is no tie, however if there is a tie for rank 51 and let say two numbers are 22 and 22 the formula will return 44.

I would like to use FileDailogFolderPicker object to prompt the Excel User (me!) to browse to the location of the folder which is required to execute the code below; at the moment I have to change the file path in the VBA code each time I run the macro.
