Compare Single Value To Range Of Values

I have a list of dates in Column A, prices in Column B in Excel. I would like to write a VBA code that compares Price #31 in the list to the previous 30 prices to see if the price has moved more than 8%. If the price has moved more than 8%, I would like the date(s) that it moved above the 8% level written in Column C. Then, I'd like the routine to move on to Price #32 and have it look at its previous 30 prices and do the same.

I have .csv file from which the data is importing to master schedule. i have a column in .csv file which is spitted into multiple columns. and my need is i have to compare this each individual cell value with the range of header values in master schedule and if match found i have to place that cell in the row.
I am adding 2 attachments one is .csv and other is master schedule.
I couldn't able to find where i have to attach my files.

Using VBA, I want to import data from a text file into a worksheet, but only import a row of text if the three-letter code matches one I have in a named range. The data looks similar to this:
ALF,D,06/01/2009,0.96,0.97,0.96,0.97,1007,0
ALK,D,06/01/2009,0.34,0.36,0.34,0.345,4375,0
ALL,D,06/01/2009,3.7,3.8,3.68,3.75,12381,0
ALR,D,06/01/2009,1.155,1.18,1.155,1.17,388,0
ALS,D,06/01/2009,3.39,3.39,3.23,3.31,2642,0
ALT,D,06/01/2009,0.031,0.031,0.031,0.031,3460,0

etc...
and the named range similar to this:
AAC
AAF
AAM
AAR
AAX
ABB
ABC
ABP

etc....
I know how to open and import the data, it's just making the comparisons that I'm having trouble with at the moment .

I am trying to figure out a formula that will allow me to compare the
contents of cells within a range and let me know if there is a value that is
not the same as the others. For example:
Columns a,b,c,d,e and f and say "Joe"- this result is acceptable
Columns a,b & c all say "joe" and d,e,&f all say "Mary"- this result is
unacceptable
I want a formula or function that will tell me this wihout me having to
visually scan the data to determine this.

So I have values in Column L3 to AH3 and I would like to use if condition to see which values are less than 10.
I also have other rows where this comparison needs to be done but for now I can't even get simple if condition to work.
this is what I am doing
For Each cell In Range("L3:AH3")
If cell.Value < 10 Then
ActiveCell.Font.Color = vbRed
End If
Next cell
I am not getting any error but for some reason only first cell condition is compared and not the other cells..

I have a series of columns (L - X) each representing a diagnosed disorder (Dx), coded as binary, with 1=Positive Diagnosis (Success). The reference cell contains diagnostic codes; for each respective Dx column I need a 1 or 0, obviously. Each Dx category has a range of values (Dx codes), so I need to write syntax that reflects this range. For example, =IF(A1=>141,AND(A1=<239.99)),"1","0")
In other words, if cell value is 141 through 239.99 then return 1, else 0
Would it be something like this:
=IF(AND(A1=>141,OR(A1=<239.99)),"1","0")

I have data in column A and formula in D2 is =MAX(A1:A1)
If i enter 12 in B2 cell
....... and 5 in C2 cell formula in D2 should change to =MAX(A12:A17)
If i enter 140 in B2 cell
........and 30 in C2 cell formula in D2 should change to =MAX(A140:A170)
I tried entering INDIRECT function inputting value in B2 as A12 instead only 12 but not fully succeeded

I want to compare cells and use a range of values to calculate totals (i.e. count if cell A1=boy and cell A2 equals either "fat" or "skinny")? Also, I tried using wildcard character "*" in the SUMPRODUCT formula, which didn't work (i.e. if cell A1="boy*" would return at TRUE if the cell contained "boy", "boys", "boy and girl", etc.). Is there a way to include wild card characters in a SUMPRODUCT formula like the ones described above?

In Worksheet 1, Cell B63 I would like to create a drop down menu, with two options for the user to select - 0.05 and 0.01. I would like each selection to then control the formula in the cells C63:L63, for example;
Where 0.05 selected it computes for cell C63:
=IF( COUNTA(C4:C54)=0,"",IF('WORKSHEET4'!N55>'WORKSHEET4'!L55,"YES","NO")
then cell D63

I have a single column of numerical values that may repeat many times within
the column.
I require a flexible Formula:
Use an Input Cell for the specified and changeable Percentage(s) %.
Column may be filtered – so only take into account Visible Filtered Cells.
The Formula will calculate and Return the numerical range of values that fall
between the specified percentage % (using the Input Cell) e.g.; 70%.
The Formula should Return two numeric values: a Start Value and an End Value
– NOT necessarily the minimum and maximum per se BUT the MIN and MAX of the
values that appear 70% of the time in the column; therefore, taking into
account Repeat / Duplicate values.
The calculated Results: the two numeric values will be returned to separate
cells on a new Sheet.

I have two excel sheets exported from two sources of information. Both sheets contain 1 column which is the primary data, ie, there is no duplicate of that information. Each information in these column represent 1 device in the real world.
Now, for example:
In one sheet, I have: SDV0620B
In the other sheet, I have: SSDV-B0620B
Please note that, both data actually represent the same device. What I now need to make sure is that, I ccan identify each corresponding data from the two sheets.
So, here is the problem that I am facing, identifying two data which are same but has two different representation techniques. (since the data are from two different sources)
I came up with the idea that, if I can check the sequence of characters with one column to another, then I might be able to pull it off.
For example,
we take SDV0620B, and match the sequence of character with SSDV-B0620B.
therefore, first is S (from SDV0620B)
match with SSDV-B0620B
then, D
match SSDV-B0620B
then V
match SSDV-B0620B
and so on, until the end.
And if the 1st sequence is found in the second sequnce of characters, then it is called a match! Hope I have explained it clearly. I have provided a file with some of the data copy and pasted out, to give you an idea of what the values look like.

I have a single column with multiple rows of data like this: Afirst last, Bfirst last, Cfirst last (all in one cell) etc.
I want to type some names in one cell in the same format (Afirst last, Cfirst last, Bfirst last) but not order and then check if any of those names exist in the first column and count the results of matches.
So in this example I am looking to count Bfirst last and/or Cfirst last in every cell of column A. I need to use a formula.

In sheet1, I have the borrowers and outstanding per employee. In the Area Avg sheet, I have the average borrowers and outstanding in each area as this is the standard for comparison (I got this through the subtotal function).
Now what I have to do is in sheet1, format(change the color) each cell under borrowers which is greater than the average of the relevant area. Since, (in my actual data) the name of the area may be duplicate in different regions, the reference value (average borrowers of the area) from "Area Avg" sheet has to be traced through multiple criteria which are: Division, Region and Area. The same also has to be done for outstanding but the solution can be provided for borrowers only.

I was looking to use the VBA conditional formatting script posted on OzGrid and was curious if it would be easy to make some slight modifications.

I can see that Case is the number range referenced to change the background...However, would it be possible to have it read a cells value as the criteria for the color change? Currently, I would like it to reference values in range I2:M2 and anything matching those cells in range A4:E28 change background to icolor = 30. I'm just not sure what to replace Case with to make it refence cells I2:M2

I'm trying to compare two quantities on two different sheets. I've used VLOOKUP in the past on other sheets. This time round I cannot understand how to us it on this query when the data is contained and mixed in one cell.
Here goes explaining..
Sheet1, shows we have stock of Mini Speakers in blue, the 'Main SKU', 'Size' and 'Current Stock'
'Current Stock' is the cell we are trying to compare

Excel seems to be miscalculating some formulas and I was hoping someone might have seen this before:
I'm attempting to do math on two cells and return the result in a third cell
Jx = time typed manually
AAx = time that is the result of a lookup function from data in a different worksheet
ABx = the result
Here is the formula that I am putting in ABx: =IF(ISERROR(AA39-J39),"",IF(AA39>=J39,(HOUR(AA39-J39)*60+MINUTE(AA39-J39)),-(HOUR(J39-AA39)*60+MINUTE(J39-AA39))))
J39 contains the time 18:31
and AA39 contains the time 18:30.
When the formula evaluates, the error #NUM is returned. Here are the calculation steps:
IF(FALSE,#N/A,IF(TRUE,HOUR(-.00069444444431)*60........)))
What is happening is excel is evaluating the If(AA39>=J39) as true, even when J39 contains 18:31 and AA39 contains 18:30.

I have a spreadsheet and everyday it would change in length.
But I would like a macro that compares the value of each cell in column B against the value in corresponding cell in column D then moves to the next roll - so eg B2 against D2,B3 against D3......B50 against D50 until all rows are compared.
And when it finds a different makes the background colours go red !
I have a bit of a code but I think I need to loop to compare all populated cells !

If the record exists in both sheets then compare the value in col. H for both records, if the value is different then copy the entire record to a third sheet.
There are 16,000 rows of data to do comparisons.
I have been thinking about a Vlookup method as one choice, my thought is this going to be slow.
I have read about vba having some comparison choices, vbbinary, vbtext, but I do not have any knowledge of this, so cannot intelligently choose what options to begin w/.

I have a worksheet where I want to compare values in two of the columns.
In column B there are EAN codes consisting of 13 digits.
In column E there are 5-digit numbers.
What I want to do is to compare the 5 digit number with the EAN code where these digits should be in position 7-12 in the EAN code. Those numbers in column E that doesn't have a match in column B should be marked (for example that the background color of that cell is set to "red").
Example:
B E
XXXXXX12345X 12345 (match - do nothing)
XXXXXX12346X 12346 (match - do nothing)
XXXXXX12348X 12347 (no match - set background color to red)
XXXXXX12349X 12348 (match - do nothing)
XXXXXX12350X 12349 (match - do nothing)
XXXXXX12351X 12352 (no match - set background color to red)
There are more values in column E than B.
In all there are close to 4500 rows so I really could use a nifty macro to do this job.

I am in the process of comparing values between two sheets.
I would like to search on column A on both sheets and check whether there is a corresponding value in the sheets.
If there isnt then I would like to take that record and put it into a new sheet.
My code is as follows
