I’m trying to copy a chart as a Picture but when I select Shift Edit as Jon Pelltier suggests at http://peltiertech.com/Excel/XL_PPT.html
In the Copy Picture dialog box it doesn’t appear the “Format” option (to enable Picture copy).
Why is this happening?.
Currently using Excel XP.
Trying to create a macro to run through the following steps when I select a chart and run the macro:
Paste>As Picture>Copy As Picture>As Shown When Printed>OK
I used the macro record feature and when I enter the shortcut it always returns the same chart. How do I get it to run on whatever chart I have selected instead?
I am constantly using this function to copy charts from Excel into PowerPoint presentations and am frustrated with all the extra steps it takes (versus just Ctrl-C).

My request is similar to the points discussed in the above mentioned thread, but, it is a little bit different ..
Instead of inserting the picture to the worksheet, I want the picture to be copied from one folder on the HD to another folder called (Employees photos), which is located in workbook's path.
In other words, I need a code to copy one jpg picture from one location to another.
I would like a macro that would analyze a range (H15:GI15) to see if they contain FH, FS, FB, FR, or FC and if they do, copy the related picture associated with the 5 variables and paste it in the cell.
I did this code and it worked, but the code is very long. Another problem I have is there needs to be a way to delete the existing pictures before the code runs too. Because the cells may change and the button that runs the macro would be labeled "update" or something to that effect. I don't really need it to run everytime the cell is updated, just when the "update" button is pushed.
i have this picture of a list of chores..its about 150 different chores long
i can type all of it in..that would take a long time..
but anyway i was wondering if there was a way to take the picture and turn it into words..

A1 Sweep Kitchen Floor
A2 Mop Kitchen Floor
A3 Empty Dishwasher

I'm trying to copy a picture from one Worksheet to another and then resize it, when i select the picture after pasting it into the other worksheet i use the code ActiveSheet.Shapes("Picture 6").Select, the problem here is that i don't know the name of the picture because i use a loop that copys alot of pictures.

On the front page sheet I can easily with VLOOKUP formulas transfer the desired data from the data sheet to the front page sheet but I cannot seem to figure out how to copy the picture. When I try to copy the cell with the picture in it, the formula only copies the cell value, which is "0" because the only thing which is in the cell is the picture. how to copy a given picture from one sheet to another based on the information in another cell like a "Vlookup" formula?

The data set is huge and it would involve lots of labor if copy and paste one by one. Is there any way to do it using a macro? I tried to record a macro, but it doesn't work. It will not change the size of the picture and I don't know how to tell Excel to align them the way I want.
I have a not too big catalog in Excel format (2010). Each row has a picture. Now, I need to generate sales report. Some items do not sell. For report purpose, I want to delete those rows along with the pictures. Possible to do so? I did an Internet search and found that drawing objects are not bonded to a row or a cell. I am trying to copy 8 adjacent cells in a sheet and paste them on another sheet as a picture (using copy picture method). I could do that 3/4 times, but after that I started getting the insufficient system resources error.

And I guess double clicking it again would make it return to its original (smaller) size. I would be pasting several pictures into several different picture/diagram boxes and would need this to be a relative reference so that upon selection it explodes the appropriate picture?

I am putting together a price list in excel and using images and hyperlinks to jazz it up a bit - what I am finding is that if I insert a 25KB GIF image, the excel file grows in size by over 100KB
why is this disproportionate growth happening and is there a way around it - I dont want my Price List growing too large but need the images....?

I want to paste/show a photo in a particular cell (D2) on a worksheet (called PP). I wish to delete any photo that may already be there in D2.
The picture's name (e.g. J-145.jpg) will be found in another sheet (called MP) in cell H1.
My pictures are stored in a folder (lets call it c:pictures) and the one I want has the same name (J-145.jpg).
I've tried many macros but none work.
I created a chart that was automatically assigned colors and shading that I like. I would like to use the same shading and color scheme for other charts (not the same chart type) however I cannot seem to figure out exactly what color and shade was automatically assigned (it is not one of the standard ones). Is there some way to copy the fill without copying the entire chart format?

First of all the page is the same every time. It contains the same graph's (although with various data each time) and the same placement.
So when i make the page with graphs i also add a button with an attached macro.
This macro then shows an Userform where the user can decide which graph he would like to printout. I wan't specific headers and footers on the page, so the only thing i could make work is by copying the chart, and then place it in a new Chartsheet, then setting the header and footer and printing it out in the end. The code looks as follows:

By testing i found out that the copying a chart takes alot of time in vba-code? Why is that? If i do it manually I don't have to wait for anything.
This is just a question of optimizing the code... Because i can't understand why it takes so long time with the VBA code!

I had a question regarding pivot charts. Someone sent me an excel spreadsheet and i wanted to copy the pivot chart exactly but change the values. I am copying the entire contents of a worksheet onto a blank worksheet multiple times. The problem occurs with the charts which need updating once copied to reference the new worksheet name. I have tried stepping through each chart and then each SeriesCollection but it seems to fall over part way through.

I want to copy and move the sheet with the chart to a new workbook, but without the source data. I break all links, but then the chart's data table takes the default values and formats in the new workbook after I break the links. For examples, the source data has formats such as currency and no decimal places. However, after copying the sheet, the data table reverts to no dollar sign and decimal places. In addition, the months on the x-axis turn to numbers when the links are broken.

I need to present these 2 items in a single slide of PowerPoint.
I have done like this.
-First copied the chart from Excel.
-Then pasted it in PowerPoint using "Paste special".
-Then clicked "picture (windows metafile)" this is to reduce memory consumption
Then repeated the above steps for the excel table too.
The PowerPoint slide that I got cannot be attached as system doesn't allow me.
Question: I wanted to a give a paper copy of the PowerPoint slide to my Director who needs a PowerPoint slide and not an Excel chart. But in the slide, the numbers of the table look much juggled and as if the numbers are too closely typed.
I tried with various different fonts in Excel and then copy and pasted in PowerPoint but the problem persists.
What things I should do in Excel table so that cell values are clear in the Table presented in PowerPoint ?
