Create Search Facility That Will Run On Variable Functions And Display Information On Screen

I have an excel file with a large amount of employee data in it and want to create a search facility that will run on variable search functions and display the information on the screen
I want to be able to enter variable search functions as follows:
Employee Number; shows all information on employee
Division: shows all employees in division (possible from a list of all divisions)
Appraisal Eligibility : Applicable shows all the applicable employees
Job Role: shows all the employees with the same job role (possibly from a drop-list of all roles)
I know its easier in Access, but all records in Excel as a legacy and don't have time to create an access database currently.

how I can build a search engine. I have attached a file with an idea about how I would like it. What I would like to have is a sheet with a search button. If the correct number is putted in this file the corresponding data should appear in the same sheet. I do not know how to make this at all!!
This is just a small file but if i know how to build it, it would concern a much bigger file and maybe even some graphs (if that is possible)

I have a great bit of code for a spreadsheet I'm working on by a board regular called Norie;

When I open the workbook it shows for about 1 second another sheet in the workbook rather than just instantly showing the "START" tab.
Is there any way to get over this to make this code 100% perfect?
I just really would love upon opening this workbook for the sheet that 1st comes into view to be the START SCREEN TAB, without any flash preview of another sheet.

I'm working with text boxes in Excel that have hyperlinks attached to defined names on a worksheet. Basically just to navigate around a large sheet.
They work fine, but when the mouse is hovered over the text box it automatically displays the address of the defined name, which looks messy and I want to get rid of it.
I have tried inserting a single space in the screen tip box, but that displays a small rectangular box. I have also tried "" hoping nullstring maybe interpreted as not to display, but it instead displays the speech marks.
Has anybody done this before? I've seen it done, but I have no idea how the model creator did it.

I am trying to create a macro that checks and displays the screen resolution for both the Main monitor and the secondary monitor.
Currently I have this code that displays the resolution on the main screen only:

I have a splash screen I want to display while a macro runs. I've created all the necessary code based on information from this site but have a question about where to actually put the code as all the example I've seen are based on workbook open events.
I tried placing my code
UserForm1.Show
with in the macro I waned the splash screen to be displayed during but that doesn't work. Well, it does, but not as I intended. The splash screen pops up for the specified duration as part of the macro stopping the macro, then closes and the rest of the macro finishes running.
Do i need to call the splash screen from a certain point in the macro I wish it to be displayed during? I dont want the macro to stop running while the splash screen is showing.

a) I wonder if I can copy this link out without keystroking each row.
b) When I point at the link, a few numbers come out. I want to extract these number out.

I have place a camera-picture of a table on the right side of a chart. On the screen it looks great! (See below - with some redaction)

.... but when I print it the table expands off of the side of the chart. Scale is 100%, zoom is 100%, Excel 2010 (See below - with some redaction). Whether or not I have a print area does not seem to make a different in the problem. Also, it appears that this happens with any shape I put in that place, it's not specific to the camera tool.

So whenever i open my excel sheet, the first thing should happen is that there should be a login screen and ot should ask for password and id. Once you provide the login id and password, you would proceed to the next screen.

I would instead, like to create a screen where by they answer questions, for example. a drop down box where they choose flow rate, ie. 0-5l/min 6-10 l/min and so on for each option and then they end up with the list of choices which meet their criteria

I have 2 worksheets - Data & Reference.
in Reference worksheet, have 2 columns - Cards & State
* Cards column contains a listed points which will be added from time to time. The points can either be a word or part of a sentence etc.
* State column contain various general category

I have this search function that works well: =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("which is < ",E9)),"test ok", "not ok") my E9 cell contains the phase: "I have a number which is < 9, and which is positive..." E9 has "which is < ", then i get back "test ok"
My question is.... how can I do this multiple times within the same function/cell. i.e. if I wanted to search "which is < " and/or "positive" in the same cell, then i get back "test ok", "positive number") I keep trying all combinations to no avail, like: =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("which is < ",E9)),"test ok", "not ok"), =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("positive",E9)),"positive number", "no good")
Keep in mind I am using a numeric example, although I am using this function to check if part of a cell matches specific text...

Im am trying to create a search marco button that allows me to search in multiple worksheets in one work book. I came across this CODE the first part of it works. I'm trying to get the syntax correct, and not getting it right.
I need to calculate the Standard Deviation of values, but calc it based on more than one dummy variable.
EG: I need to Standard Deviation using data in column A, if the value in Column B (same row) is 1, and the value in Column C (again, same row) is 0. Right now, I have to reorder the data and calc it, then copy n paste values. I'd MUCH rather have a longer function so I don't have to reorder the data over and over again, and add and delete rows, etc.
I know it's a nested IF AND function, or I think it is, I just can't seem to get the syntax correct.

Is there any excel-addin which offers function in which you could search any excel function (not just formula) so that you could access any function in a seconds, just like google desktop search for windows.
Right now you could use quick access for most common functions you use and shortcuts for functions in different group. But if there is universal search for all the functions, it is going to be faster for any access!

I came across a userform which was perfect for my needs, as I only had to create additional fields, which I did and have attached. However, since I have more than 10 fields, I was getting an error with respect to the listbox function, where it stated that the list property could not be found. I gathered from the searches I did, that this is the max limit for this particular function. I have been unsuccessful in finding a solution, partly because I don't know very much and I'm not understanding how to incorporate some of these solutions into the vba code. I've created simple userforms before, but this one is a little more advanced than my current capabilities.

How can one change the cell values of a worksheet by creating a setup page in another worksheet. Example: the worksheet value is =average(E7, F7, G7, AQ7)*0.6 -- which this formula makes 60% of the average. On the setup page or worksheet I want o change value of *0.6 to say *0.5 for all the cell that has this value. In other words form the setup all the values will change on the related worksheet from the setup page.

I have this request excel sheet which needs a button to do multi functions:
First the sheet is placed in remote server and had two working sheets (say sheet 1 and sheet two), in sheet one there are fields must be filled by the user and a sequence number must be issued for each request.
1- when the button clicked the request serial number must be added by one (counter).
2- log the new serial number, user name and datetime in sheet 2.
3-save the sheet on local pc
4- disable the button after click so that the user could not click the button twice for one request.

is possible to display the formula and value of the variables in a formula in a cell? e.g. if I enter '=A3+A5, the formula will appear in the cell. However, can I also have the valu of A3 and A5 in the same cell with the displayed formula?

I have a mental block when it comes to writing functions.
In a cell I have the Post Code followed by a "#" sign (no speech marks) and sometimes more text
e.g. FY6 8JF#ABCD (where the Post Code is FY6 8JF)
The "#" sign always indicates where the Post Code ends, i.e. I want to return all the characters to the left of the "#" sign.
In a spreadsheet I would accomplish this with "=LEFT(AA14,FIND("#",AA14,1)-1)"
where the string of interest is in cell "AA14"
How do I write a UDF to do this?

I'm trying to use IF and AND functions to create a basic input-output system. The problem I have (more details below) is the 64 limit when the potential inputs could be infinite.
For values entered into a cell between 1 and 10, this should produce an output of 0.00 in another A value higher than 10 should output as 1.00, and from then an extra 1.00 is added for every '10' added. There is no limit on the input ie 1 = 0.00, 11 = 1.00, 29 = 2.00 and so on.
