i implement DTPicker inside a userform in my pc ... but when i open the userform in other pc there's an error saying could not found DTPicker ... when i reopen it in the pc that i've made the userform the DTPicker is no longer there and i had to redo the same thing over and over again when others opens it in other pc.

Everything works fine to this point. Then it opens the do you want to overwrite dialog and I cant get it to hit yes.
In a Multipage form, the first page contains 2 DTPickers. These show the date value from the specified excel worksheet cells and update the cells accordingly if the user changes the dates with the TDPicker. These work perfectly.
If I place another DTPicker control on another page of the Multipage though, it leads to a run-time error.
As an example, the code for 1 of the successful DTPickers on the first page:

I have a DTPicker on a multipage form on a userform with the following codes:

The first line of code is in the DTPicker1_change event.
The second line of code is in the userform_initialize event.
This works fine if I move the DTPicker control onto the userform itself, but if I put the control on the multipage form it fails with the following message:
Run Time Error 35788
An error occurred in a call to the Windows date & time picker control.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out how to save a worksheet's autofiltering settings and be able to re-create those settings.
I would start off with a spreadsheet with a few Autofilters on. I would like to make a macro that will record the initial Autofilter settings, then the macro would do a bunch of stuff that would need to 'Show All'. After these actions take place, I would like to be able to return to the initial Autofilter settings. I'm not even sure which VBA command should be used for this sort of thing.
In a userform I have 6 DTPlcker controls for 3 periods (from...to... X3). The dates chosen are not saved unfortunately and once I exit and retrieve the file again all the dates in the 6 DTpickers get the date of today.

I took a stroll through the internet looking for the answer, but the issues that I found seemed to point to the application losing its ability, which was resolved with a registry edit/update/change. I don't think that's the case here because I CAN undo is SOME documents.

i dont know what that 'white' thing called. After i copied the data from other sources, i cant delete the 'white' thing. even i delete the whole sheet, the 'white' thing is still there.

Undo / Redo - they do NOT work properly after a save. Before a save, its great - I can undo / redo many many changes.
After a save, I can only undo 2 changes, but the worst thing is it ONLY REDOES ONE of them.
I work by saving very regularly, then I go and look at something on the sheet, and then use Undo / Redo to get back to where I was last updating the sheet and see what I had just been working on, especially if its a few minutes in between.
However, when I do that now, it undoes my last change, but the redo has been lost. So I do:
change, save, undo, redo
and it just doesn't do the redo. The redo button is greyed out.
If I do:
change, change, save, undo, undo, redo, redo
the first redo works, and the second fails as the redo has been lost.
It seems pretty basic that undo / redo should be symmetrical but they aren't, at least now.
I would rather just not have undo after save at all than this broken version.
Why are they putting so much stuff in Excel but they can't even get one of the most basic parts of spreadsheets correct - such as undo / redo, and the ability to open independent spreadsheets without having to change things in the registry (which I have had to do so I can work on two spreadsheets in a semi-sane fashion, undo being shared across your sheets otherwise). MS needs a back to basics...
Copy of the scaled down Workbook are enclosed. Password is "j". Sheet("Final Schedule") is one of 11 sheets in the Workbook. Range("a10: BE120") is copied from another Sheet and pasted.
ISSUE BACKGROUND: Entries into cells are Data Validation and a drop down on each cell. In cells C15, 16, 17, 18 or O15, 16, 17, 18 First time the Sheet is opened: user has no problem if they select a D from the drop down.

But if user types in D and hits enter key, contents of G10: M10 (merged cells) is copied into that cell. Any thoughts on where to check or what settings to check? It only happens on that one computer.
I'm creating a pivot table using visual basic. for 1 of the titles in the column ("Organization") I only need to Select "Telford", "Kaiserslautern" & "Morocco" out of several other options. The code I've got at the moment only tells the pivot table not to show the ones I dont want as per below:

I have a worksheet that does a running total. It also correlates with another worksheet. But, for this one B4 through B23 is added together on B25, then on B27, B25 is subtracted from B3(original balance). In the cells B4-B23 there is a formula to pull information from another worksheet. I am wanting to incorporate a formula with that for if the total that is in B4 through B23 adds up to the original balance (B3 or B25) then it will say PAID.

trying to speed up my workbook, because all of the formulas depend on time and the now() function. It takes forever to add/change anything.
Here is a general description of my worksheet. It's for a game called tribal wars (online browser mmo). You have towns around you, which create resources to plunder. This resources build up over time, thus I need to use the now() function in basically every formula. Each row finds the distance to that location, the time since last attack, the estimated resources built up since the attack, and the number of troops to send.
If only there was some way to update now() only every 1 to 5 min instead of every time I hit a key...
So what's so special about the Excel camera tool? To me, copy and paste do the same thing. What else can it do that Copy cannot?
View 9 Replies View RelatedFirst, I can get the balance formula, and when I drag the square at the bottom right, I am able to drag the entire formula down...I want to do that. However, when I drag it down, the number keeps popping up. I was wondering if there is a way to be able to drag the entire thing down and be able to make it so that it is hidden (the cell is blank) unless the debit or credit cell in the corresponding row is filled. Also, if possible, I want to be able to drag it down to infinity, so it can go on forever, so that there is no need to always drag it down when I add more things in it. I am attaching what I have till now.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with a form where I have created several DatePicker controls.
Once the user select the control and select a date, it's saved on a cell (all the data is stored as a record, including dates). However, the user could not select a date, and, in this case, I should record nothing on that cell. What I have done is to enable the checkbox property.. so I assumed that the date is valid if this checkbox is checked (however, I don't know how to validate if this checkbox is checked or not). The checkbox property for the date picker is a yes/no value that just show the control as enabled/disabled whether you check or not that checkbox.
Question I have is: How can I do to see if I should be saving a date or not on the cell? I have tried different formulas without success. Sometime works and sometime no. I'm using the following code to validate if the user has selected a date:

What happens is that sometimes this condition returns True.. but others it returns a 0:0:00 value that is not null.
I created a lookup table that works quite well. It even has if statements in the LookUp Formula. However, I have to update the table it pulls the information from each day. I wind up recreating the range each time because the table always has more rows each time. Is there a way I could just paste the table in each day and not have to change the range? The columns never change.

This has seemed to have happened on a computer at work.
In Excel, when I type in "Martha" then tab, or otherwise leave that cell, Martha changes to "Cool"
If I type in anyone elses name - it stays that name. But if I type in "Martha" .. it changes to "Cool" with the bullet and the word Cool.

When I double click an excel spreadsheet in windows explorer it opens spreadsheet then closes it then opens it again.
This doesnt happen if I have an instance of excel already running.
I thought it might be to do with file association and the open with option.

1. excel workbook is opened in New Excel window
2. Ribbon is hidden for this new window.
So when user closes this excel window there is no problem with other workbook ribbon, as there are open in different window

My users have run in to an interesting issue with the file. Each time the files opens it has the same 5 questions selected. What I need the code to do is randomize the questions each time the sheet is opened. Basically, the users seem to have a problem using the "make quiz" button, so they have requested that I make sure that the quiz randomizes each time it is opened.
I would really like to know if there is a way that when my workbook opens if the following can happen?
- Not display the tabs (NOT "HIDE" the sheets, just not be able to view the tabs themselves)
- Go to full screen (not display ribbon)
