In sheet 2 I have dynamic values that are constanly changing.
In sheet 1 I have links linking to sheet 2.
ex. =IF(ISBLANK(Sheet2!H3)," ",Sheet2!H3)
I want to alter the formula in a way that it does the following:
It should only put sheet2!H3 if the date is January 12 and the time is between 08.00 -17.00. If the current date/time lies outside this range it should give blank (" ").
Let's say I have thousands of employees, but I need to determine who worked for me during a particular date range, and all I have to go on is their start date in one column and their end date in another column.
If:
A1 contains beginning date of employment
B1 contains ending date of employment
C1 contains specified beginning date (criteria)
D1 contains specified ending date (criteria)
I like to create "templates" for files that I work with on a reoccuring basis, just to make things simpler. The current template I am working on tracks items processed by day and is used for two reporting purposes; 1 totals the pay ending items processed so I have the dates laid out based on the 2 week period with formulas for that. The 2nd way it is reported is by the month. Since this is a template, only the first day of the first pay period for a calendar year needs to be entered and the rest of the dates populate based on that date. What I would now like to do is add columns for January - December monthly totals using a formula that will read something like "if column A (where the date is) contains 1/1/2014 - 1/31/2014, then sum up column L" and than copy that formula for the remaining months.

I want Excel to see where today's date falls and return how many work days it is from the date boundaries.For example, today is 2/8, which falls between 1/13/2014 and 2/12/2014

But I want to also grab the 2/12/2014 date and get the number of workdays from that- all in one equation.If not one equation then 2 but not separated for each border date like I have above

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Office 2010, I am trying to do a averageifs formula for a specified date range. I can get it working by specifying the date range in the formula itself, however when "pointing" the formula to a specific cell with a date in it, the formula gives me a div/0 error.
Formula that works is:

What I need is a version of: (currently not working)

I need an IF formula, that states if a date is more than a month after the date in the cell then it is timely and if it isn't then it is not timely. For example the date in A1 is 12/11/05, if the cell is A2 is 13/12/05 (or any date after that) then A3 should read Not Timely, if A2 is 12/12/05 (or any date before that, including a date before the date in A1) then A3 should read Timely. Is there any way to do this?? At the moment I am having to go through manually and put in either Timely or Not Timely.

I tried a unique list, but could not get it to work within a range? I dont particuarly care how the data is pulled through as long as I do it. At the moment I have become stuck in 'Unique Ranges' and have n given up?
The formulae issue is in the tab "Problem_Formulae", the dat in the sheet 1, and the date ranges in sheet 2. Also, just to make life a bit more challenging pivot tables are a no go .

I'm trying to create a formula that will search for a specific text in "sheet1" within a date range and then SUM the total on "sheet2". Attached is a excel file that has a working formula for tracking cashier variances. I edited out names etc.
I added a new cell called Track Back on the employee search sheet.
What I want to do is only show variances for the amount of days back selected in the Track Back cell.
For example if I select the last 30 days, only the last 30 days would show up below in the sheet.
I am not sure if this is even possible based on the forumla that is already on the sheet. I couldn't figure out a way of doing it. But there are a lot of people on here much better with excel than me

As you can see this also laps into a new year, which poses my next problem, ill probably just add more columns on to the end of the table for that though...
I will later apply different calculations to these cells but in short need to get a calculation for the number of days per month first.
(in short spreading the new value out accross the year then multiplying it by the days... i also need to apply a further daily volume cal to it).

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhat I would like to do with the information that I have put together on a different workbook is to reference an Agent (column A), and a time range (Date is in column D) and then copy the row from A to I for each occurrence during that range of dates so we can see how many and what errors have occurred during any range of dates selected. (I will have different people inputting errors at different times so the dates will not be sorted unless they have to be). I want to be able to select different agents/date ranges to be able to get a glance of how that particular agent did during this time frame.

I'm needing a formula that will determine the number of days that fall in a specific month based on a date range. For example, if I have a date range of 10/15/2009 to 01/13/2009, I need the formula to determine the number of days in each month within the range (October has 15 days in the date range; November has 30, December has 31, and January has 13.) I have a large spreadsheet that would be so much easier to manage with such a formula. Currently, my spreadsheet is setup as follows. I'm using Excel 2007.
I am now trying to create a excel macro to auto populate all the dates with reference to a start date and end date. The catch is that only working days are required in the range. My reference cells (start and end date) are in Sheet 1 while the destination cell range are in Sheet 2. The reason for creating a macro instead of a function is that the intervals between the start date and end date changes frequently (annual, semi-annual and quarterly) Best case scenario would be a button which I can just press after i input the dates to generate the range of dates in another sheet.

The objective is to have a person input a Monday date in any given month and receive a four weeks out worth of dates and ranges. For example: In a lone cell, the person inputs 10/13/08. Automatically, the sheet produces the next full week range: October 19 – October 25 in a single cell and also produces a cell for each date. Example: Sunday 19, Monday 20, Tuesday 21, etc…. It should look like:

and then repeat for three more weeks. I thought I had it figured out until the month changed. The dates continued in October instead of adding a month. This report will be ran weekly, so simply adding a +1MONTH to some cells will not benefit me as I’ll have to change the formula every week. I want the formula to compute the data without any manipulation over the next several years. The only change will be the Monday date.
I have a formula that counts if a date range is present. However I need to change it to count another column only if that date range is present. For example a17 a50000 the user will enter the date of the order. and in column B has the order number. I want the formula to count the order numbers for a data range in column A.
Here is what I have but it is counting the dates in col A not the order numbers in B?
I have log data in two columns:
Column A: Date/time (at 30 minute intervals)
Column B: Numeric data
On the last row of each month, I’m trying to perform a SumProduct on the two columns and display that result in column C.
The end of the range is determined by the month in the current row.
I’m having difficulty finding the beginning of the range, though. I need to account for both the normal dynamic calendar days & the fact that I may get data starting mid-day and mid-month.
I have this formula, but I’m not sure how to make the first array dynamic or if this is even correct approach.
