Date Range Formula Not Working
Apr 14, 2014I am trying to create a formula that if the date column falls between 01/01/2014-01/25/2014, it returns January as the value.

The catch is that only working days are required in the range. My reference cells (start and end date) are in Sheet 1 while the destination cell range are in Sheet 2. The reason for creating a macro instead of a function is that the intervals between the start date and end date changes frequently (annual, semi-annual and quarterly) Best case scenario would be a button which I can just press after i input the dates to generate the range of dates in another sheet.

Example
Abcence Start Date 21/08/13
Abcence Due End Date 04/11/14
Financial Year Start Date 01/07/13
Financial Year End Date 30/06/14
1.The attached file shows an example extract of a data extract that has thousands of lines. See the Data Tab.
2.What I need is some time that has passed between two dates in a DDHHMM format
3.What I then need is the top 50 of each of the times (or the longest time past)
4.The column headers will be: WO Number | Contractor Name | Time Calculation – see the various Report tabs
5.The calculations in the Data tab are between the following columns.
a.Difference between Column Z and Column AC
b.Difference between Column AC and Column AD
c.Difference between Column AD and Column AE
d.Difference between Column AE and Column AF
6.Is it possible to show the top 50 only in time?
This report is forming a part of a larger report and all other formulas are already present so I am hoping to keep the file size quite small. The aim is to then hand this over to someone else to just print on a monthly basis depending on the data that gets added with minimum input.
I have this formula below that counts all matching cells that fall between two dates (a Monday to the next Monday) where S2 and T2 are the dates (one week apart).
I have 52 colums ie one for each week.
=SUMPRODUCT(($G$3:$G$1000>=S2)*($G$3:$G$1000
I am trying to compare vertical range "A" in sheet1 to vertical range "K" in sheet2 if they match to copy both rows and place in sheet3. I have tried the following but it did not work.
Sub Searching()
Dim sh1 As Worksheet, sh2 As Worksheet, sh3 As Worksheet
' create short references to sheets
' inside the Sheets() use either the tab number or name
Set sh1 = Sheets("Sheet1"): Set sh2 = Sheets(2): Set sh3 = Sheets(3)

Let's say I have thousands of employees, but I need to determine who worked for me during a particular date range, and all I have to go on is their start date in one column and their end date in another column.
If:
A1 contains beginning date of employment
B1 contains ending date of employment
C1 contains specified beginning date (criteria)
D1 contains specified ending date (criteria)
I like to create "templates" for files that I work with on a reoccuring basis, just to make things simpler. The current template I am working on tracks items processed by day and is used for two reporting purposes; 1 totals the pay ending items processed so I have the dates laid out based on the 2 week period with formulas for that. The 2nd way it is reported is by the month. Since this is a template, only the first day of the first pay period for a calendar year needs to be entered and the rest of the dates populate based on that date. What I would now like to do is add columns for January - December monthly totals using a formula that will read something like "if column A (where the date is) contains 1/1/2014 - 1/31/2014, then sum up column L" and than copy that formula for the remaining months.

I have to do a job of 14 working hours and this job must be finished on 05-may-2014 13:00
My working week is from monday u/i friday and every day I work from 08:00-16:00
At what time do I have to start the job to get it done in time.
The formula should give this result: 01-may-2014 15:00
In sheet 2 I have dynamic values that are constanly changing.
In sheet 1 I have links linking to sheet 2.
ex. =IF(ISBLANK(Sheet2!H3)," ",Sheet2!H3)
I want to alter the formula in a way that it does the following:
It should only put sheet2!H3 if the date is January 12 and the time is between 08.00 -17.00. If the current date/time lies outside this range it should give blank (" ").
I am looking to get a formula based on my spreadsheet attached
I want F column to add 5 days onto whatever date you put in there then correspond it to the matched date period in I2-I6 then apply the pay period from H2-H6 and put it in the G Column next to the date that has been input?
Is this possible?
Book1.xlsx
I have attached a file which indicates what I am trying to achieve.
The first question is can this be done and then who do I set it u
I am looking for a single formula I can run along a single row that looks at several columns of data, and then checks if the date range falls between the running row, take it's relevant number, and multiply it by a single rate. The attached probably explains it clearly - I think the solution would be some sort of Sumproduct, but my attempts have failed!Example - Date Range with Calculation.xlsx

Is it correct to use the SUMIF formula? If so how do I write the formula to include the date range desired? Would it go under 'criteria'?
I am having a hard time with this formula. How can I adjust my formula so that everything that falls outside the boundries of my given date range will have the word "DELETE" next to it? Here is what I have and it is not working....

I want F collumn to add 5 days onto whatever date you put in there then correspond it to the matched date period in I2-I6 then apply the pay period from H2-H6 and put it in the G Collumn next to the date that has been input?
Assume I have a simple date array
1/13/20142/12/20143/12/20144/11/20145/13/20146/11/2014
I want Excel to see where today's date falls and return how many work days it is from the date boundaries.For example, today is 2/8, which falls between 1/13/2014 and 2/12/2014
Cell I19
=LOOKUP(TODAY(),B2:Q2)- yields 1/13/2014
=NETWORKDAYS(I19,TODAY()) yields 20 workdays
But I want to also grab the 2/12/2014 date and get the number of workdays from that- all in one equation.If not one equation then 2 but not separated for each border date like I have above

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Office 2010, I am trying to do a averageifs formula for a specified date range. I can get it working by specifying the date range in the formula itself, however when "pointing" the formula to a specific cell with a date in it, the formula gives me a div/0 error.
Formula that works is:
=AVERAGEIFS('UHP Weld Data'!M:M,'UHP Weld Data'!B:B,"08/29/2012")
What I need is a version of: (currently not working)
=AVERAGEIFS('UHP Weld Data'!M:M,'UHP Weld Data'!B:B,"H1")
The date range will constantly change as I want it to show me the past 30 days only.

I need an IF formula, that states if a date is more than a month after the date in the cell then it is timely and if it isn't then it is not timely. For example the date in A1 is 12/11/05, if the cell is A2 is 13/12/05 (or any date after that) then A3 should read Not Timely, if A2 is 12/12/05 (or any date before that, including a date before the date in A1) then A3 should read Timely. Is there any way to do this?? At the moment I am having to go through manually and put in either Timely or Not Timely.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an issues with a formulae I have written to measure two factors;
A; How many different countries appear within a certain date range. B; What countries are they.
I tried a unique list, but could not get it to work within a range? I dont particuarly care how the data is pulled through as long as I do it. At the moment I have become stuck in 'Unique Ranges' and have n given up?
The formulae issue is in the tab "Problem_Formulae", the dat in the sheet 1, and the date ranges in sheet 2. Also, just to make life a bit more challenging pivot tables are a no go .
I have two tables: the 1st table consists of date range (From and To) and week number while the other table has only dates.
Example:
1st Table
FROM TO WK
3/27/2009 4/2/200914
4/3/2009 4/9/200915
4/10/2009 4/16/200916
4/17/2009 4/23/200917
4/24/2009 4/30/200918
2nd Table
DATE
03/28/2009
04/11/2009
04/26/2009
Need simple formula that would show a wk number in the 2nd table (2nd column)? I.e 03/28/2009 has wk no. 14, etc.
I'm trying to create a formula that will search for a specific text in "sheet1" within a date range and then SUM the total on "sheet2". I've manage to use the SUMPRODUCT (below) formula but want to expand on this so the SUM can be shown on another sheet(summary page). =SUMPRODUCT((ISNUMBER(FIND({"nmlclex06"},A1:A10)))*(B1:B10)) In this example I search for the text "nmlclex06" and SUM the size, but don't have a date range and don't know how to SUM the data on another sheet.

Attached is a excel file that has a working formula for tracking cashier variances. I edited out names etc.
I added a new cell called Track Back on the employee search sheet.
What I want to do is only show variances for the amount of days back selected in the Track Back cell.
For example if I select the last 30 days, only the last 30 days would show up below in the sheet.
I am not sure if this is even possible based on the forumla that is already on the sheet. I couldn't figure out a way of doing it. But there are a lot of people on here much better with excel than me

As you can see this also laps into a new year, which poses my next problem, ill probably just add more columns on to the end of the table for that though...
I will later apply different calculations to these cells but in short need to get a calculation for the number of days per month first.
(in short spreading the new value out accross the year then multiplying it by the days... i also need to apply a further daily volume cal to it).
Having a hard time putting this one together..Trying to do: Create a formula that counts how many cells in Column L, that fall within a date range and also have a specific category of "text" (Column E). What I've tried:=COUNTIF($L$4:$L$166,"
