Formula To Check Date Range And Then Do Calculation?
Apr 7, 2014
I am looking for a single formula I can run along a single row that looks at several columns of data, and then checks if the date range falls between the running row, take it's relevant number, and multiply it by a single rate. The attached probably explains it clearly - I think the solution would be some sort of Sumproduct, but my attempts have failed!Example - Date Range with Calculation.xlsx
I have a spreadsheet that uses IF(C5>J5,(EDATE(C5,12)),(EDATE(J5,12)))__ IF(J9<D9,(D9-$N$1)) where N1 is current date. If C5 and J5 are empty how do I get it to ignore the formula and just leave the other cells blank?
I have a formula that counts if a date range is present. However I need to change it to count another column only if that date range is present. For example a17 a50000 the user will enter the date of the order. and in column B has the order number. I want the formula to count the order numbers for a data range in column A. Here is what I have but it is counting the dates in col A not the order numbers in B?
I am attaching an Excel file where I am trying to calculate lead time (even if a negative number of days) to a next activity based on projected dates based on a 'cycle start date'. I am trying to perform this with e complicated IIF statement which you can see from the attached file.
Note: this file is created from a vb.net application at runtime where this excel file is actually an xlt template. I attached it as an xls to make it easier to look at. EDIT: I have a flag in the Annual/Semi-Annual that blanks out cells that are not needed if Annual. It causes my LeadTime Col. to blow chunks and I can't seem to get past an error in the formula since adding this.
=If(F3>=NOW(),F3-NOW(),If(G3>=NOW(),G3-NOW(),If(H3>=NOW(),H3-NOW(),If(I3>=NOW(),I3-NOW(),If(J3>=NOW(),J3-NOW(),"CycleStart Null"))))). Replaced Zip file
I have some data A2:A1000 where there is a start date in column D and end date in column E (formatted DDMMMYYYY). In column F I have a formula that calculates the NETWORKDAYS between the dates.
What I want is a set of formulae that will look in column D for a date between 01/01/2013 and 31/01/2013 (or any date I specify) and find the 'MIN', 'MAX' and 'AVG' of the values in column F where the date in column D matches my criteria.
What I can't figure out is how to offset from the cells matching the date range!?
I have a IF formula that check if “F13” cell is "+" if not do calculation (F13-E13) and stop, if yes go to the previous line and check if the “F12” is "+" if not do calculation (F12-E12) and stop, if yes continuo to the previous cell and so on until you find cell without “+”
The EXCEL IF formula is =IF(F13="+",IF(F12="+",IF(F11="+",IF(F10="+",IF(F9="+",IF(F8="+",E8-F8),F9-E9),F10-E10),F11-E11),F12-E12),F13-E13). I'm looking for VBA code with FOR to run and do the same without the limitation of 7 if inside if.
Column A, B C A has lets say 100 elements with certain ratings. B has has a,b or c for each rating from column A. C returns a for each rating from column A.
I search for a rating with this formula: = INDEX(range,MATCH(rating;range,1,1,1))
Now I have the relative position of the rating in that range. Now I want to search for "b" in column B that reflects that rating. For instance:
Columns: 10 a 1 20 c 1 30 b 1 40 c 2 ... Search rating = 40 so C would be the answer.
But in that range A1:B4 I want to search for the position of the last b from column B
How to create a formula to determine the longer period of time between two date calculations and enter the longer period of time in the cell.
My Spreadsheet: Cell M2: Birthdate (entered in cell as 11/1/2004) Cell J2: Last date of service (entered in cell as 10/31/2011) Cell G2: Calculation to enter the longer period of time between (M2 (year) + 21) and (J2 (year) + 7)
Example using information from above: 2004 + 21 = 2025 2011 + 7 = 2018 2025 is the result I want added to G2
If there is any way to include the month/year in G2 that would be ideal.
I have software that generates an excel worksheet with data with dates. In this column of dates, there are either valid dates or dates with all zero's (00-00-00). I need to setup a formula that checks this column, if they have a valid date (anything greater than 00-00-00) then mark that row with "Contract", if hit has all zero's (00-00-00) then mark it as "CP". One thing, this column is not formatted as "Date", it is formatted as general. I didn't know if that made a difference.
Also, is there a way to setup this WHOLE column with this formula so that as soon as the data is extracted, it will automatically change the cell value to CP or Contract?
I need a formula that will search the range D8-D100 to confirm that all cells within that range are either 11 characters in length or blank. I will use it inside of an error message that will look something like this:
=IF(****formula that checks to make sure all of the cells in that range are blank or 11 characters****=TRUE, "", "Please make sure that all cells are 11 digits or blank")
Let's say I have thousands of employees, but I need to determine who worked for me during a particular date range, and all I have to go on is their start date in one column and their end date in another column.
If:
A1 contains beginning date of employment B1 contains ending date of employment C1 contains specified beginning date (criteria) D1 contains specified ending date (criteria)
I like to create "templates" for files that I work with on a reoccuring basis, just to make things simpler. The current template I am working on tracks items processed by day and is used for two reporting purposes; 1 totals the pay ending items processed so I have the dates laid out based on the 2 week period with formulas for that. The 2nd way it is reported is by the month. Since this is a template, only the first day of the first pay period for a calendar year needs to be entered and the rest of the dates populate based on that date. What I would now like to do is add columns for January - December monthly totals using a formula that will read something like "if column A (where the date is) contains 1/1/2014 - 1/31/2014, then sum up column L" and than copy that formula for the remaining months.
I have a user form that when a command button is clicked it enters the data from the from into coloums a,b,c,etc. I have code to do this but I want to add code to add a static date in coloum B based on if coloum A had data entered from the form. I need the date not to change to current date when the file is reopened. I am trying to elimate a date text box in the form. I have a link to the file http://www.box.net/shared/zdtsjv0qos
In sheet 2 I have dynamic values that are constanly changing.
In sheet 1 I have links linking to sheet 2. ex. =IF(ISBLANK(Sheet2!H3)," ",Sheet2!H3)
I want to alter the formula in a way that it does the following:
It should only put sheet2!H3 if the date is January 12 and the time is between 08.00 -17.00. If the current date/time lies outside this range it should give blank (" ").
I am looking to get a formula based on my spreadsheet attached
I want F column to add 5 days onto whatever date you put in there then correspond it to the matched date period in I2-I6 then apply the pay period from H2-H6 and put it in the G Column next to the date that has been input?
and i have another place for compile where all the data is summarized
What i want is
If the agent name is example 1 and his mistake is present in raw data and it matches the agent id , date and financial then i want excel to calculate how many " financial " error agent made on that particular date only so that i can assign to another agents too , to get exact data no matter in whichever series that data is inserted in excel.
if i use countif and if all the condition are met it shows me all financial mistakes count and if it shows false it turns to zero . if agent make " financial mistake " on 1st nov and he made another non financial mistake then as it should show only the count of that particular agent " financial mistake " on that date only from the given RANGE DATA
I have a start date, generated onto cell B4 from a user form datepicker control. I also have a course type in cell C4 that course has a constant number of days. I would like to add the number of days of the course to the start date to give me an end date in another column.
I am having a hard time with this formula. How can I adjust my formula so that everything that falls outside the boundries of my given date range will have the word "DELETE" next to it? Here is what I have and it is not working....
I am needing to count the number of calls in a call center between certain hours by date. Column A is the date, Column B is the time of the call. I am needing to know how many calls occurred on X date between the hours of y and z. I have tried various forms of the countif and sumproduct but can't seem to get any of them to work for me. Here is the graph I am trying to populate:
Need a formula that will generate the ending date of task, adding therefore if needed the number of weekend(s) in between the start and end date to the End date.
Let us say: task is starting in 2008/11/11 the duration of the task is 7 days. So, we should get an End Date= 2008/11/19.
2008 11/11 11/12 11/13 11/14 11/15 11/16 11/17 11/18 11/19 Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun Mon Tue Wed
How calculation can be made based on the date. I have 2 sheet (MATTER and REPORT). All productions made within sheet MATTER. Then I will produce report to be printed in sheet REPORT. I only include the date and calculation every matter will be automatically made based on date and item.
