I have a spreadsheet (Sheet 1) listing current Work Orders with each work order occuping a seperate row; Column E lists the status of the work order, with the status being chosen from a drop down list.
I would like to have a macro that will copy the entire row and paste into (Sheet 2) when the status is changed to CLOSED, and clear the contents of the cells on Sheet 1.
The aim of this being of course to have all open work orders on sheet 1 and all closed orders on sheet 2.

Wondering if there's a macro that can do this when i press a button.
In spreadsheet "Complete Backlog"Autofilter onShow rows where WIP Status (Column K) equals "Closed"Cut rowsPaste into next available row of "Closed Jobs" spreadsheet. No overwrites.
Or you could switch step 5 and 6 so that the rows are copied over to "Closed Jobs" and then deleted from "Complete Backlog".

I am using following codes to find and delete number in series.
HTML Option Explicit

I was wondering if it is possible to have a macro running that will automatically save a .csv file to specific location and close the file. I would like to have the macro running so that as the files are opened they will be automatically saved to this location.

I would like to disable cut/copy/paste and maybe delete inside a worksheet. Reading earlier threads on this subject provided the code to put in the ThisWorkbook module, where it works great for all my worksheets. However, there is one worksheet where it is necessary to have copy/paste, either with control c or right click/copy. Here is part of that code provided by Tom Urtis:
Private Sub Workbook_Activate()
Application.CutCopyMode = False
Application.OnKey "^c", ""
Application.CellDragAndDrop = False
End Sub
What do I replace Application with to work on just the worksheet level?

I have a not too big catalog in Excel format (2010). Each row has a picture. Now, I need to generate sales report. Some items do not sell. For report purpose, I want to delete those rows along with the pictures. Possible to do so? I did an Internet search and found that drawing objects are not bonded to a row or a cell. Seems to me I cannot selectively delete picture in a particular row. True?

I have a worksheet that is composed a header row, and columns of data (client call results).
Each client is identified by a unique ID number in column A, a seperate column F has the 'call number, from 1 to x'.
So a client can have a single or multiple rows of data. Each client group of rows is sequenced with call 1 as line 1, call 2 at line 2, etc. etc. as your proceed down the rows.
The entire worksheet is already sorted (with a header row) ascending by client id and call #
What I want to accomplish is this
1 - copy the existing worksheet (CallRecords) to a new worksheet (CallToday)
2 - in the new worksheet, scan down (or up) from first data row (2) to the last row {ws.Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0).Row} and delete duplicate rows of the Client ID retaining the row with the max call number for that client id.
3 - sort the new worksheet (CallToday) ascending by column (G) date, and column (H) time.

I have to rewrite this code so that when i copy the sheet and paste it, to paste one Toggle button with its assigned macro. I don't want the whole workbook cause there are one combo box, another four toggle buttons and a command button, that i dont' need in the new file. So only to insert one toggle button with its macro.
Sub FileSaveCopyAs_Click()
Dim strFileName As String
Dim theNumber As Variant
Dim theFirm As String
Cells.Select
Selection.Copy
Workbooks.Add
Cells.Select
ActiveSheet.Paste
theNumber = Sheets(1).Range("F13")
theFirm = Sheets(1).Range("E1")
strFileName = Right(theNumber, 4) & " " & theFirm

I have been trying to write a script that when a workbook is opened it promts you if you want to archrive old data.
If the use selects yes the script will run and checks all dates in column AG8:AG60 on status worksheet if it matches that criteria(older than 30days from today, and it is underlined) then it copys and paste all the data in that row from "A" to " AI" to the next available row in the archive sheet in the same workbook.
This is what I have but since i dont quite understand VB that well i cant find where my mistake is.
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Dim iReply As Integer
iReply = MsgBox(Prompt:="Do you wish to archive old Data now?", _
Buttons:=vbYesNo, Title:="Remove Old Data")
If iReply = vbYes Then
MsgBox "I will know run chkdates"
Run "ChkDates()"
ElseIf iReply = vbNo Then
Exit Sub
Else
Exit Sub
End If
End Sub ............................

I have a workbook with one sheet (called "Pipeline") and another sheet called "Completed". The Pipeline sheet is used to keep track of all of the tasks that the team are working on, and then when the task is completed, it needs to be moved to the "Completed tab".
I currently have managed to write some code that looks for items marked "completed" in row G of the "Pipeline" sheet, then copies them over to the "Completed" tab, and then deletes the row from the "Pipeline" sheet.
There is one macro to copy the completed cells (called "Transfer"), and then another to delete the cells (called "Delete"). I then just have macro called "Clean" that just calls the transfer macro, and then calls the delete macro.
Often, there are 6 tasks marked complete, and only some of them will be copied over, but all of them will be deleted (a disaster).
Transfer Macro : [Code]....
Delete Macro : [Code]....
Overall Macro : [Code]....

I need it to clear the contents from the cells, then copy a number of sets of cells from selector, paste them in to AM call plan and then delete the duplicates. My code is getting stuck very early in the whole thing. The copy, paste sequences, were originally recorded as a macro, then added to trying to get it to work.
Here is the code, and the red line of code is where it is stopping:
Sub Call_Plan_Targets()
'
' Call_Plan_Targets Macro
'
Dim LR As Long
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
LR = ActiveSheet.UsedRange.Rows.Count

I have a worksheet containing code to hide itself when the sheet is deselected:
Private Sub Worksheet_DeActivate()
Sheet16.Visible = xlSheetVeryHidden
End Sub
After unhiding this sheet and modifying it, I copy it. This new copy becomes the 'production' copy, and the self-hiding sheet is blanked, leaving me with a hidden blank template and a new sheet. However, the self-hiding code is copied along into the new sheet. I'm looking for a way to delete the sheet code from the copy. The best I've found is how to remove a module from the workbook.
Sub New_Sheet()
ActiveSheet.Copy After:=Sheets(1)
ActiveSheet.Name = Range(" F8").Value
Sheet16.Visible = True
Sheet16.Select
Range("B13:F22").ClearContents
Sheets(2).Select
ActiveSheet.Shapes("Button 1").Delete
Range("A8").Select
ActiveSheet.PageSetup.PrintArea = Range("A1:R35").Address
Call Sort_Sheets
End Sub

I need to do something to my workbook, and I need to do this task:
When I insert/delete a column between E & F in sheet 1, the formula (not the value) in the column E was applied too to the new column I've inserted/deleted..
Then, when that happened to the sheet 1, It would happen too to the other sheet automatically..
So I don't need to insert/delete the row and copy the formula manually for each worksheet..
I know that I could simply solve it with grouping the sheet tab..
But I have plenty of data that needed to be inserted and applied with the formula..
I will attach the little example : insert.xlsx
And one more thing, I received this VB code from [URL] ..... for inserting the column:
VB:
Private Sub Workbook_SheetBeforeRightClick(ByVal Sh As Object, ByVal Target As Range, Cancel As Boolean)
Dim lngRow As Long
Dim ws As Worksheet
If Target.Row = 1 Then
Cancel = True
[Code] .....
And this code for deleting the column:
VB:
Private Sub Workbook_SheetBeforeDoubleClick(ByVal Sh As Object, ByVal Target As Range, Cancel As Boolean)
Dim lngRow As Long
Dim ws As Worksheet
If Target.Row = 1 Then
Cancel = True
[Code] .....

Recently I have been practising writing my own macros in VBA. I am using Excel 2010.
I have been trying to write a macro to look at two columns in a worksheet (say, columns D and E) and to delete the contents (not the formatting, and I don't want to delete the cell itself) of that cell only if it contains a numerical value (e.g. 1, 2, 256 or any other number). If it finds a cell with letters, then it wouldn't delete the contents of the cell. The cells are currently formatted as "currency" cells.
I have been trying all sorts of things and I just can't get it to work. I can write a macro to clear a range easy enough, but I am stuck on getting it to delete the right stuff. I won't embarrass myself by uploading the code that I have been using..

I have a sheet in Excel 2004 for Mac that is a patient list with over 2000 patients. I need a rule that will compare values (patient IDs and responsible party ID) in two adjacent cells, if the values are different, to delete the entire row. The goal is to get rid of patients (rows) that are not the responsible party (responsible party ID).

I would like to create a VBA code where it will delete the entire column if the cell value is equal to value in D2
For example:
Sub Delete_Columns()
Dim rng As Range, cell As Range, del As Range
Set rng = Intersect(Range("G2:S43"), ActiveSheet.UsedRange)
For Each cell In rng
If (cell.Value) = D2 _
Then
If del Is Nothing Then
Set del = cell
Else: Set del = Union(del, cell)
End If
End If
Next cell
On Error Resume Next
del.EntireColumn.Delete
End Sub
======
But I think this line is wrong but I am not sure how to fix it - If (cell.Value) = D2 _

1. I have a list of data (Collated Data)
2. For every row in collated data I want to export the cells into a corresponding cell in my predetermined workbook (TAF Form), i.e, Cell C1 on Collated data goes into Cell D3 on TAF Form, cell D1 to cell I3 etc etc
3. Once all cells in one row have been copied into the TAF Form I want that TAF Form to save as "TAF Form & Employee Name" (which would come from cell D3).
4. I then want "TAF Form & Employee Name" to close.
5. I then want the Macro to do the same thing for Row 2, copy the cells, save the form, close the form
6. I want to do this for every row that I have (which varies).
Is this possible? If you have any more questions in terms of what I need, don't hesitate to ask.

I have some data in sheet 1 column A. However, the amount of data varies everytime. In addition, blanks cells may be present in column A as well.
I have some data in sheet 2 column A. The amount of data also varies everytime. In addition, blank cells maybe present as well.
what I need here is to match the values in column A sheet 1 to column A sheet 2, and if it matches to delete the entire row in sheet 1.
However, i want to keep all blank cells in column A sheet 1.
Sheet 2 blank cells to be removed if any.
how do I do that in VBA? A lot of forums talk about a specific value but none on non specific values.

I have two sheets, a data sheet with all our customers by ref, name and spend; and a presentation sheet.
In the presentation sheet I want to display the ref, name and spend of the Top 50 customers by spend, price high to low.
The workaround:
Copy all data from data sheet, sequence top down by spend, manually delete all after 50.
My only issue is that each month the data sheet will update and I want the Top 50 to auto update, without performing the workaround above.
Is there a way to do this without VBA i.e. pivot tables etc
