Delete Value In Cell Based On Selection In Listbox

Jun 7, 2012

I have two listboxes where I can move tickers from left to right. This is synced with a sheet, such that the tickers also are pasted there too.

But if I use the remove button, I can remove tickers from the listbox, but I cannet delete them from the sheet. If I understand right the listbox only refer to what row the selected is, not what the text is...

And then its a bit tricky. I have tried a code where it just add the list one more time, after the itmes has been removed. And that could work if it hadn't been for the second column which also has a text, this column is updated after every ticker has been moved from left to right.

What I would like to have is a function that would know what the text in the row that I delete, or remove.

This is what I have so far:

Code:
Private Sub cmdMoveToLeft_Click()

Dim i As Integer, j As Integer, k As Integer
Dim RowsStart As Integer
Dim LastRow As Long
Dim Rows As Integer

RowsStart = Me.ListBoxX.ListCount

[Code] .......

Remove Duplicate Values From Listbox?

May 14, 2014

Column A has values increasing by 1 but not necessarily each row, i.e.

1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 4 4 4 4 5 5 5 5 7 7 7 8 8 9 10 10 11 11 11 11 12 13 13 14 14 14

I have a listbox which I want to Initialize by listing these values but not duplicating them (so in this case it would contain 1-14). Here is the mindblowingly complicated code I currently have:

[Code].....

This gives me the list as it appears on the sheet but doesn't get rid of the duplicates for me.

Creating A Listbox And Button In VB

Jul 25, 2008

I want to be able to have a listbox on a sheet (whether this is already on the sheet or created by a macro I don't care), and have a button next to it. Once the list box has been filled in (with multiple selections) I want the user to press the button, the list box and button disappears and the items selected in the list box are placed into consecutive cells underneath each other.

First problem: To start with I have tried to create the listbox and button using VB

Sub lbtest()

Dim lb As Object, ButCon As Object

Set lb = Sheets("Sheet1").Shapes.AddFormControl(xlListBox, 100, 100, 150, 100)
lb.ControlFormat.MultiSelect = xlSimple
lb.ControlFormat.ListFillRange = "M1:M8"
Set ButCon = Sheets("Sheet1").Shapes.AddFormControl(xlButtonControl, 255, 100, 100, 25)
With ButCon
.OnAction = "Inactive"
.PrintObject = False

Filter Listbox With Combobox And Search Button

Aug 4, 2014

Attached small application. Open the application and click on the LISTBOX button. Code for the Filter by Item button or the Filter by Representative button. I would like to select an item from either of those dropdowns in the search box, click on the relevant button and the list box will populate to show the results.

For example, if I were to select Chocolate Bars from the dropdown and click filter by item, I want to see only the three lines [i.e. line 2, 6 and 7] present in the listbox, and I want to be able to doubleclick on any of those lines to go to the record if I wish.

Similarly, if I select Robert from the other dropdown and click Filter by Representative, I want to see the relevant three lines [i.e. 4, 5 and 8] relating to Robert, present in the listbox, where I can again double click to go to the record [i.e. the data entry userform related to particular record selected.

I have attached a file : Form.xlsm‎

Adding A Button To Remove Data

Mar 23, 2007

I have spreadsheet with some very basic formulas that work out sale prices based on people entering buy prices. (It works out the % margin). There are certain areas where the user enters the data - and does not touch any other part of the sheet.

What I am trying to do is add a button which will remove the data from these cells. Almost - a start again button or refresh button. This way it will remove previously entered data - without removing formulas from the cells where the calculation happens. So basically there are cells that a user will enter data - and it is these cells I would like to be able to clear with a button or similar without affecting other cells.

Filter A List By The Criteria Selected In A Listbox, And Activated By A Command Button

Dec 14, 2009

I'm trying to Filter a list by the criteria selected in a listbox, and activated by a command button. My problem is the sort criteria. I have 11 regions, numbered 01EPS through 11EPS. Sorting by any of these criteria works just fine.

The problem is that I also want to be able to sort by ALL of the regions at once. I can do this by using a custom filter. I recorded a macro to see what the difference was, and it simply a matter of changing 01EPS to "=*EPS". However, adding that to my case list results in an error message of "Compile Error: Syntax Error".

Everything works fine except on about 10 out of my 30 questions, one of the four answers (all opition buttuns) has a fine dotted line around it.

I really have no clue as to where this line comes from. I have tried deleting the option button and replacing it with a new one. This helped for the concerned button but now the dotted line appeared on another answer of the same question! I have done it several times and each time the dotted line simply shifts from one answer to another but never dissapears! The odd thing is that this only concerns 10 questions, the other 20 are fine...

Listbox - Delete Source

Feb 15, 2008

I have a listbox which brings up my bets for todays horseracing. If say one of my selections is a non-runner, would I be able to add a command button to delete that selection from the source data.

The source range is "AL10:AN24". So all I would want to do is select the selection if it isn't running and click on the command button to delete the selection.

I already have code to sort the source data and would like to add this code to the new code, so once a selection has been deleted the source is also resorted.

Here is that code, in case it is needed:

Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Range("SYSTEMS!AL10:AN24").Sort Key1:=Range("SYSTEMS!AL27:AO41"), Order1:=xlAscending
End Sub
