Application.ScreenUpdating = False
Range("B:B").Select
For Each c In Selection
If c.Value = Range("A4") Then c.Rows.Interior.ColorIndex = 36
Application.ScreenUpdating = True
I got this code so far that highligts the rows that match but range a4 needs to go down the column to a5, a6, a7....so it only checks the first cell in column a. I need it check all cells. Then i was going to delete the entire row in column B where it was not highlighted.

I have a spreadsheet which contains data for crime incidents occurring in a month. I have created a worksheet which uses "IF" statements to pull in data that occurred within the last 24 hours only. I would like to create a report that can be printed which has a crime category and lists all the incidents for that category below that occurred during the day. The issue I am having is that all "IF" and "LOOKUP" statements are line for line and I want to be able to skip blanks or where it is not the category in the title.

=INDEX($AS$9:$AT$33, MATCH(B4,$AS$9:$AS$33,), MATCH("PERCENTAGE",$AS$9:$AT$9,))
That's all fine but some of the items in the list will not be able to match the lookup table and in this case I want it to say 0 (zero), but instead its saying #N/A which I understand means data unavailable. Is there a way of saying if so and so doesn't match put 0 instead of #N/A?

Here is what I have. 4 Worksheets. The first worksheet is a summary page. I have 350 personnel that are broken down into three different groups. So each group has it's own sheet. Here is what I need to accomplish. Results need to be posted on the summary sheet.
I need to compare cells B2 & D3 for each row on a worksheet and display the number of times they match on a worksheet. For example how many times does EP & EP match on a certain row. I need to compare cells B2 & D3 for each row on a worksheeet and display the number of times they don't match on a worksheet. For example how many times does EP & MP occur. I've attached an example for reference

I have a worksheet in which I have sorted the data based in date and numbering (column I and E). I would like to create 2 macros for following actions:
1- all rows with the value "TOM" in column C will have to be deleted.
2- all rows with a value of 601 or 602 in column E, will have to be moved to the bottom of the sheet after the last row with data. The rows that have been moved will have to be sorted based in date (column I) and numbering (column E).

I'm trying to put together a script which on the sheet "Resource" compares every cell in the range B:U, starting at row 8, and where all cells match, keep the first row, but delete the duplicate proceeding rows.
I've found the code below here: [URL] ...., which I thought I may be able to adapt, but for me to include all the columns in the 'If.Evaluate' section of code seems to perhaps not the most efficient way of doing this.

SVRW_34 fdsjsjdf 734978
CAT_56 ghdrhad gaghadh

I'm trying to create a macro that will delete all rows with "CAT" in the REF column.
I've searched this site and struggled trying to adapt other methods listed and got nowhere.

This sheet has A:K columns and 1:3212 rows. There are 'page headers' that are in the text file that I want to delete (the text file was exported from an AS400 program). The first row that starts the page header has SA341 in column 1. Each page header has 5 rows. I used this code from one of the other threads on deleting rows, but I obviously do not understand the code as it deleted all rows that contained SA341.
Sub DeleteRows()
Column_To_Check = 1
Start_Row = 1
End_Row = ActiveSheet. Cells(Rows.Count, Column_To_Check).End(xlUp).Row
MsgBox End_Row
Search_String = "SA341"
For Row_Counter = End_Row To Start_Row Step -1
If ActiveSheet.Cells(Row_Counter, Column_To_Check).Value < SA341 > Search_String Then
ActiveSheet.Rows(Row_Counter).Delete
End If
Next Row_Counter
End Sub

I have a dataset of a few hundred rows, but will only provide a small sample of rows for this example.
I need INDEX/MATCH to return the correct values for the subset below.
Column A (Forecast Status) - Column B (Account Name)
Commit - Account01 (Row 1)
Commit - Account02 (Row 2)
Won - Account03 (Row 3)
Won - Account04 (Row 4)
Won - Account05 (Row 5)
Upside - Account06 (Row 6)
Lost - Account07 (Row 7)
Upside - Account08 (Row 8)
Won - Account09 (Row 9)
Commit - Account10 (Row 10)
In a new tab, I am creating a 'dashboard' view that will group each of the following:
Commit ONLY Accounts in cell A1 (Formula to be copied down to retrieve Rows 1,2,10)
Won ONLY Accounts in B1. (Formula to be copied down to retrieve Rows 3,4,5,9)
Upside ONLY Accounts in C1. (Formula to be copied down to retrieve Rows 6,8)
Lost ONLY Accounts in D1. (Formula to be copied down to retrieve Rows 7)

1 good work
2 good
3 excellent
4 needs improvment
i need a macro that goes through each row and does a search in column B for a partial match of a word. if that word isnt present in the row, the row is deleted.
if i typed in a criteria of "good"
rows 3 and 4 are deleted.
so my speadsheet will then look like this
1 good work
2 good

My knowledge of Excel is quite basic, so i had little luck searching for this one.
We have a main data sheet in which everything is inputted, but i would like that data to be split up and reported (copied into) in 2 or 3 other sheets, depending on a single criteria.
Is this able to be done so these 'report' sheet are constantly updated, and the columns in the reports dont include irrelavant columns which are in the main data sheet.

I have an excel 2007 file, which is quite big: ~10mb. There are situated plenty of columns with coordinates. I would like to transcribe it, modify those data, but it will take me ages. I'm not acquainted with macros, but I heard that people can do with them everything using computers' abilities. I'll abridge my whole problem.
I give you a sample of that file, so please open it. In the file you can see two 'columns'. Every column has two other columns called x and y. As you are thinking now these two columns are containing arguments (in x column) and their values (in column y). Every third column is empty. In attached file you see, that arguments are repeating and values are increasing by one. Sometimes there is an argument without repeats, and sometimes there are only two repeating arguments.
What I wanted to do is delete those repeating arguments leaving arguments with the highest and the lowest value. Example: Please look at range A230:B232. There are three repeating arguments and for this case I should delete row 231 from columns A&B and then move cells up to join separated columns. There are also not repeating arguments, which I need to double. If there will be only two repeating arguments I would like leave them. In the end I should have a clear view for all those coordinates.

There are many columns in Sheet1 and more will be added for titles of the columns remains unchanged. One of the Col. in Sheet1 is 'Part Number'. Part Numbers are defined as 'Configurations', and each Configurations has additional parts and peices which are broken down in Sheet2. Back in Sheet1, I also have a Col. for QTY. So, if Sheeet1 has a part number that matches in Sheet2, then I would like Excel to copy all 'parts and pieces' and QTY from Sheet2 to Sheet1. Please make sure that I want the QTY to be multiplied if applies. Please see below for an example:
