Deleting Duplicate Rows Based On Earliest Or Latest Time?

Below is an example of an Excel sheet I'm working with: [URL]
Basically, I'm trying to delete the duplicate rows by matching ID, Date and Type. If ID, Date and Type are the same, then, I want to only keep the record with the earliest Time in case of Type = In and the latest Time in case of Type = Out.
So, for example, in the case of ID = 1, there are 3 records for In, I only want to keep the one where Time is: 8:01 as this is the earliest. The other 2 records should be deleted.
Similarly, in the case of ID 3, I want to keep the record where Time = 18:05 as this is the later time out of the 2.
Can this be achieved by Conditional Formatting or Macro or VBA?

I have something like the following that has a name and a time associated with it for each given name:
A23-Mar-122:27:18 AMB24-Mar-123:38:56 AMD23-Mar-123:38:44 AMA23-Mar-1210:52:01 PMB24-Mar-122:43:26 AMD27-Mar-123:05:07 AMA27-Mar-123:05:16 AM
What I am looking to find is for that that name (i.e., A) what the earliest entry is for the given day (and put in Start Time). The same for end time but to have that the latest time for that given day.

I have a sheet with 45,000 rows. Let's say each row has 4 columns: Create_timestamp, Update_timestamp, email_address, and o_flag
Many rows have duplicate email addresses. I would like to remove all the duplicate rows, EXCEPT for the row with the most recent Update_timestamp.
And actually, if I could just "hide" all those rows, that would be even better, but I'd be happy just figuring out how to delete all the "old" rows, so I just have a list of unique email addresses, with their create/update timestamps and o_flag column. Seems like this is such a basic use case for "Remove Duplicates,",.

I have a workbook with two sheets.
Sheet1 contains details of all of the jobs I do.
Sheet2 is my customer list.
Customers appear only once in sheet2, but may appear mutiple times in sheet1.
In sheet1 I have customer name, lead date, job date et al.
In sheet2 I have customer name, first date, last date et al
I am trying to populate first and last date in sheet2 from the lead date and job date in sheet1.
Sheet1 has a range of 500 jobs

I need an excel function to return the earliest and latest date for a particular/unique ID.
For example: In my sample workbook, the earliest date for all the columns with ID = 1 should return 11/1/2001 and the latest date should be 12/2/2011. If all the dates for a particular ID are the same, it should just return that date. For example, for ID = 2, all dates are 5/5/2010 so the earliest and latest dates should equal 5/5/2010. The earliest and latest dates have to be for each unique ID.

I'm trying to pull out the earliest and latest dates associated with a text string in a workbook.
Min Max dates example.xlsx
i.e. in this example, I want one column to display the earliest date associated with DU 145, and the next column to display the latest.
From what I understand, I need an array formula to do this and have written the following, which works:
=MIN(IF($A$2:$A$6=A2,$B$2:$B$6))
(confirmed with CSE) - and the same for MAX.
Where I'm struggling is that DU 145 may be entered in the workbook as DU145, DU 145 or DU-145 and I need to take all of them into account. I tried:
=MIN(IF($A$2:$A$6="du*145",$B$2:$B$6))
As this works in a COUNTIF formula in the same sheet. But this just returns a date of 00/01/1900. I'm new to array formulae & haven't really worked them out yet. Is there a way to do this? I assume it's something to do with the way I'm entering text as removing the wildcard * makes no difference.

I'm trying to pull the earliest and lasted times out of a list of time stamps. Say I have a column full of clock in and clock out times and wanted to find the first clock in time and the last clock out time (just an example). My lookup_value would be a Store number. I can't post it here due to legality reasons, but I have a column a store numbers that will be my lookup values and I need to find the earliest and lastest time in a list of data on another tab.

I deal with leads for a sales room and get sent over leads in bulk, I've created a master scrub list that I can attach to the end of a new lead file and sort by number to show which are duplicates.
When you do the: Data, Filter, Advanced Filter, select Unique Records, it hides the duplicate but what I need is not only for the duplicate to be hidden or gone but the row that it is a duplicate of, i.e. I need BOTH rows to go

I found a useful resource on the web that gives a macro that deletes rows when the cells within a SINGLE column are identical. [url]
Does anyone know of a macro that can do more than that, one that will delete rows if ALL cells within ALL columns are identical?
For example, the macro should delete row 4 of the attached spreadsheet. It should leave row #2 there because it's the orginal row. But the duplicate row #4 should be deleted. The macro should leave row #5 there because not all columns are identical for that row.

I have a spreadsheet that I need to delete duplicate rows in. However, in order to determine if a row is a duplicate I need to check 2 cells per row. In the attached file you will see that each row has 4 cells. I need to compare the cells in columns B and C with the B and C cells of the Row beneath. If the B and C cells match then it is considered a duplicate and one of the rows needs to be deleted. Also, there may be multiple duplicate rows.
For an example see rows 17, 18 and 19. I only need 1 row to remain.
I am looking for a vb script that would analyze a file with thousands of rows and delete the duplicates.

I have a sheet whereby in column A i have company names and column B how much is invested in this company so:

AAPL 10
GOOG 5
MSFT 15
APPL 5
IBM 20
GOOG 10
What i would like to do via macro is take all the duplicates sum them so that i see AAPL as 15 but only be left with one row. So we would be left with only 4 rows each with their summed weight.

I have a long list (over 1000 lines) of numbers, some of which are duplicated. Up to now I have been sorting them, adding in a simple check column to see if the number is a duplicate of the one below, and then manually deleting this cell.
Is there a better way to do this using VBA? The only way I have managed to find is by deleting the entire row, but I cannot do this as I have additional data to the right that I need to keep.
I also cannot install any add-ons as this on a work computer.

I have many rows that contain some common data but I need to be able to select the row with the most recent data and delete the others. For example, a car part is assigned a unique number which never changes, it may be ordered several times and in different quantities, for each car part I want to select the most recent order and delete any others. Is there a simple way of doing this?

I need the macro for deleting duplicate rows only it should keep one lowest value row.
for e.g.
Column A Column B

TS1234 50
TS1234 200
Macro will compair dublicates in column A & it will keep lowest value row (i.e. 50 value in Column B), other dublicate rows will be deleted.

I am having rows of data, that i will be updating from time to time. I want excel to move the latest updated rows, in any column if updated, to move to the top, to easiy know that i updated those records. It should be that when i updated more rows than one, then the first updated cell would be in lower, in order, than the latest updated cells. I do not want any cumbersome vba. I want in formula or in conditional formatting. The row no may be total not limited to some rows.
Because, you naturally would have updated the 200 th record and would have saved. It saved as it is, so when you next opens it it is there, but how can i know that that is the last row of data i edited.

I am looking for some code that will use A,B,C as filters to find duplicate cells, and if duplicate found, there should be deleted the duplicated row (but not only the row from a,b,c column, but the whole 8 cells from that row - A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H).
As filter I would like to be used A,B,C columns.

I'm trying to return a distinct list of rows that filter based on the latest date and largest quantity for each distinct AccountID and ProductID combination.
I tried some variant of the =max function, but I need two filters.
The purpose of this is to create a data set of all company accounts with the most recent number of products used to upload to a database.
The simplified and original data set is as follows:

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to excel programming but I manage. However, I can't seem to get rid of this run-time error 13. Could anyone take a quick peek at the document and spot the problem?
My intention is this, when typing 'Yes' in the AB column on a certain row, that row is cut from that worksheet and moved to the 'Archive' worksheet, also, simultaneously, I want to send a mail to a specific address.
Here is when I run into the error, I suspect when the row is removed with the 'Yes', those two macros clash.

I have a list of values which also has duplicates. I want to remove the duplicates but after comparing it to the dates. Retain the latest date and remove the old dates Eg. there are two duplicates, one has a date of 31st Jan 2013 and the other one has a date of 25 jan 2013. I want to remove the duplicate which has the older date ( 25 Jan 2013) and keep the one which has the latest date.

How to retrieve the latest data from dataset.

What I need to do is for a macro to first go through a range ("G8:G50"), Add a 0 value to any blank cell.
Then I want the macro to delete the entire row for any of the cells that have a value of 0 in that range of "G8:G50"

I have a UserForm which writes data to rows in a master spreadsheet. I'm attempting to write some vba code for a CommandButton in the master spreadsheet which can identify and delete duplicate entries based on "user ID", "Date", and "Time". I would like the CommandButton to retain the most recent entry from a user and delete all previous entries.
My master sheet is set out as such...
A, B, C, D,
UserID, Date, Time, Response
The users could potentially submit multiple entries on the same day. Ideally I would like to be able to click a CommandButton and delete each user's submission but retain their most recent one (based on "UserID", then "Date", then "Time").
I've searched all day for a solution and I've come close but I can not figure out a code that accounts for my three variables ("UserID", then "Date", then "Time").

I have a column with dates (dd.mm.yy) and I have a column with names. Moreover, several dates and names are repeated. What is needed, is to delete all the rows in which the difference between dates is smaller than 1825 days (5years) for the same name. (Namely, if I have three rows 01.01.1996 - "A"; 01.01.2002 - "A" ; 01.01.2005 - "A" I want all the rows with "A" to be deleted)

I need to delete rows that are blank, 0, or contain errors (#REF, #N/A, etc). My problem is that once in a while, an error will show up in a singe cell of a row that I need to keep so a simple deletion of only errors/blanks/0 will not work for me.
The two cells I need to check for errors, blanks, and 0's are D and E. There can be an #N/A in col D and a 0 in col E or both D and E can have errors. Blanks will occur in all cells of the row.
I have tried to use the code below but it doesn't do anything, but it also doesn't give me an error.
