Dynamically Refer To A Cell In A Macro Formula

I want to write a formula that inserts a column and then does a vlookup in that new column using the cell just to the left of it as the first variable. The problem is, this could be in any random column so I can't do a static reference to $A2 as an example. So, my question is...
Instead of using =vlookup($A2,Sheet1A1:B50,2,false)
How do I replace the $A2 part with some code that says, "the cell to the left of here..."

I tried
=INDIRECT(B3,$J$58)
at C3 where $J$58 is the cell I would like to reference on 50 different sheets
Formula returns #REF!
Col C ref's $J$58
Col D ref's $L$58
Col E ref's $N$58
Col F ref's $P$58
So as I copy the 4 formulas down, the ref to the correct sheet should update but the cell ref's should remain

macro which can paste the value from A1, to another B1 and when A1 is edited again, pasted it in B2. This will probably go on and on until B30. I have tried the if else then in Macro, and even the if elseif, but both don't go futher than B2. E.G A1=1 B1=1 A1=4 B2=4 A1=3 then nothing happens to B3. If there is a way to make this work, it will be great. The way i am tryin to get it is to have =if(B1="","",1) for each cell from C1:30 and with C31 the formula "=count(C1:C30)+1". Then i formated C31 to a custom and make it so that before numbers, there is an B. This means that if B1,2,3 and 4 and numbers in them, then C31 will read B5. That will be the cell i want my next record to go. I would prefer it if there is just a code that i can enter that will go to the next cell when it knows the current cell has a digit in it but if i have to, the count way will do,

I have 2 excel files A & B. In cell A1 of file B, I use an index formula to refer to a row in file A. "INDEX('[A.xlsb]A'!$10:$10,1,2)" is the formula used (referring row 10 in file A).
If I update the row number in another cell of file B, is it possible for this formula to refer to that cell to get the row number from file A?

I have a table which takes the average of the last three years. The formulas are in cells below the data. The data is set up to be first data down to the oldest data. each time data is added, a row is put in on top. how do i get the formula in the cell to update dynamically. What would the average formula look like in the cell? Do you just say =average(name of file!RANGENAME).

I have a workbook with several tabs. One tab is named for the year eg 2014. Annually, I open the workbook, rename to the new year and rename the year tab to the next year eg 2014 to 2015. All the dynamic range names update as expected. Sheet2(2014) becomes Sheet2(2015). However, a line of macro code does not change and errors out because the year does not change.
Is there a way to dynamically modify the '2014' sheet reference to reflect the renaming of the year tab eg to 2015 or to reference a helper cell named YEAR?
The cell referenced above R332C1 is dynamic.
I have tried writing the above line many ways based on internet research but no success. I suspect I can use a LEN function to actually modify the line of code but I'm not sure its even possible to alter a macro dynamically to meet my needs here.

I have the following formula in cell L51 of all sheets calculating the volume depending on the monthly index that is chosen from the drop down menu in a particular sheet. =If(MIndex=0, SUM(D33:L50),If(MIndex=1,SUM(D34:L50),If(MIndex=2,SUM(D35:L50), 0))). Basically, the macro concatenates the content of three columns from two different tables into two arrays. Array1 contains the current stuff and Array2, the old one. If I CountIf items from Array1 into the content of Array2, I should get what's new (count 0).
Now, ? in the code should refer to the content of Array2. How do I do that?
The errors I get are 424 object required [Array(iLR2)], 1004 method 'Range' of object '_Global' failed [Range(Array2) or Range(Array2(2), Array2(iLR2))], or type mismatched [Array2].

I have the following code that creates a new workbook and names it after the value of a cell in another workbook. Another part of the macro will switch back and forth between the original workbook and the newly created workbook.
What is the best way to refer to new workbook? I'm familiar with the "workbooks "VARIABLE NAME".Activate" style but, the name of the new workbook will change every time the macro runs and I'm not sure how to refer to it.

I have a formula in the first worksheet called 'Summary' of my workbook. This formula calculates average of the data in other worksheet. How do I change the worksheet name in the formula dynamically?
e.g. The second worksheet is January. The formula in cell A1 of worksheet 'Summary' calculates the average of the data in the range A1...A12 of worksheet 'January'. When I copy this formula to cell A2 in worksheet 'Summary', the worksheet name in formula remains 'January' and it does not change to 'February'.
One more important thing is that the worksheets are being added automatically i.e I can not define all the worksheet at first go.

What I need to do is basically use one sheet from my workbook as a 'template' for all the other sheets, but in a way that when I make a change to a formula on my 'Template' sheet all the other sheets based off of it follow suit. I need to do this because for 100000's of rows, spread across different sheets, I have product information populating Columns A-G, and their unique cost in Column H. I need to apply markups to each product (row), but all of these markups are standard across every product and thus every sheet. So in the perfect world I would be able to edit the formula on Sheet #1, and then have that change be reflected in every other sheet.
So let's say I have something like this on Sheet #1...

Where Column C is a product of A & B...ie. "=A2*B2"
What I need to happen is on Sheet #2 is for it to somehow pull the same formula that is on Sheet #1 in Column C, but apply that formula to 'A2' & 'B2' on sheet #2. And I also want it to update whenever I change the formula in Sheet #1.
If it requires that I set up a template on a completely different workbook, that is perfectly fine as Sheet #1, my 'Template' Sheet, does not hold in actual product information.

Below is the code. It seems to be creating 50 thousand rows below the data already entered in the worksheet "DELPHI DATA". What I need to do is change it to only add those formulae or pasted values to as many rows as already have data entered in them (which may eventually approach 50000, but may remain at only a few thousand.)

I work for a UK charity and have a list of funders in an Excel 2007 spreadsheet.
One of the columns refers to the date on which a new application for funding can be made to that particular funder.
In many cases new applications for funding can't be made for 1 or more years since the last application - sometimes as many as 5 years later. How to get a cell to refer to the date that it contains.
For example, say I have in cell A1 "The Acme Funding Organisation" and in cell B1 (i.e. the "Reapply when?" column) a date of 01/04/2013 (British date format, i.e. 1 April 2013) then what I want Excel to do is to look at the date in cell B1 and if that date has been reached to highlight the cell red. That way I'll know that the reapply date has been reached & that a new application can be made.

I have a selection that I am going through with a 'for each' and then performing actions if the cells meet a certain criteria. I have been referencing nearby cells with the offset function, but now my sheet is too big and I need to change the code often and the offset function is difficult, is there anyway to refer to cells without the offset function, preferably by column letter

I am using a spreadsheet which imports information from an access database then calculates prices based on that.
At the moment in my column "0" I am referencing the number values in column CT from my access database (which gives me a standard retail price)

I have an Excel Sheet1
The sheet has horizontal info a list of "headers" going horizontally across row 2. So row 2 may have A2= Date, B2=Name, C3=Style, D3= ........
The header rows will vary in some cases. I want to use a formula to copy and transpose the information to Sheet2. I would like the list of headers to go vertical instead of horizontal. So A1=Date, A2-Name, A3=Style, A4= ..... all the way down.
I know about Copy -> Special -> transpose but I need something that is dynamic and simple. I know I can use the indirect function and do something like this =INDIRECT( "Sheet1!" & ADDRESS(1,2) ) . However I was trying to figure out two things. How best can I make the columns dynamic and increment up especially if I am not starting at A1? Is there a better formula to use that is not volatile like INDIRECT?

I have used this code a number of times to automatically change the scale of x axes without problem. I have just used it however and it has condensed the data so that it the line only appears in the last quarter of the chart.

I have a cell containing a 'bullet' symbol (•) and a cell containing text.
If I make the bullet red and the text is black is there a way I can combine them in the same cell and the bullet remains red and the text black?
Essentially the situation Im in is I have a load of text I need to add coloured bullets to and I dont want to individually paste in and colour format all the bullet points because it would be too time consuming.

But i want to make it easy for the user to be able to change the colour the function counts, so i thought i could ask them to colour the cell in which the function is written.

I have 100s of name ranges in my spreadsheet. I am using a series of drop down boxes for the user to select the info that they want to see. Based on the dropdown box, the macro "dynamically generates" a range name from which to pull the info.
For instance, if they Select Manager = Terry, Analyst 1, and Month = Jan, then the range name would be JanTA1
The if statement would dynamically create this name by concatenating the info
If manager = Terry
mnger = "TA"
if analyst = 1
anlyst = 1
if month = Jan
mnth = "Jan"
rangename = mnth & mnger & anlyst
So, I am dynamically creating the range name based on user selections...then to display it, I want to set the display cell = to the value
Range("display cell").Value = Range(rangename).Value
The problem is, I am getting an object error every time I try to refer to a range this way.
If I type:
Range("display cell").Value = Range("JanTA1").Value, it works
