Edit Hyperlink To Work In New Location

I have a workbook that links to other workbooks, in short people add data in the "other" workbook and the new workbook, we'll call "over see" automatically updates to show this data as it is add. The problem I have at the moment is there are hyperlinks in column H in the "other" workbooks that I need to also automatically transfer/update into the "over see" workbook. When I copy pasted or linked the workbook by having each cell equal the corresponding cell in the "other" workbook(s), the hyperlink lost the first half of its code. When I tried to creat a macro to fix this, code below, it only works for the first hyperlink, all links are different, but with my current macro, they all become the same.

I have received from reading previous posts in this forum. Now I have a problem that I have struggled with for weeks. Ref: Excel 2000. I create (Purchase Order) Workbooks with 50 (POs) Worksheets, and 1 summary (Index) worksheet. The Index worksheet has hyperlinks to each PO (created via VBA), and works as expected.
Subsequently, each worksheet has a hyperlink back to the Index worksheet also created from VBA
Sheets(Counter + 2). Cells(2, 2).Select
ActiveSheet.Hyperlinks.Add Anchor:=Sheets(Counter + 2).Cells(2, 2), _
Address:="", SubAddress:=Sheets(PONumber & " THRU " & PONumber + 49) _

Before the hyperlink in each worksheet will work I must (with the cell containing the hyperlink selected) either right-click|Hyperlink|Edit Hyperlink then press "Enter", or pres Ctrl-K (which brings up the edit dialog) and then press "Enter." If I don't manually edit each hyperlink on each worksheet these hyperlinks select the targeted cell on the same worksheet as the selected cell, not the targeted cell on the Index worksheet. Note, when I manually edit each hyperlink I am not actually making any changes to the hyperlink (thought something is obviously happening that I am unaware of), I am only accessing the edit dialog box.

I was just wondering if its possible to create a Hyperlink to open a location with the link ref in another cell?
For example, If I created a shape (Insert > Shape) then assigned a hyperlink to lets say Sheet 2 cell A1 & in that cell the link to open My Documents?
Sheet 1: Shape (as a button)
Sheet 2: Cell A1 - C:UsersUSERNAMEDocuments
Then when I click the 'button' it doesn't go to Sheet 2 cell A1 it actually opens the documents?

I have an Excel file to distribute to users. This file must contain Hyperlinks to a Word file which i will enbed in a sheet of the Excel file itself. My question is this: Is it possible to produce Hyperlinks that go to the specific part of the Word document? So far, i am only able to Hyperlink to the first page of the Word doc, by doing a macro.

I have a worksheet with frozen panes (Row and Column). I have hyperlinks that jump to the this worksheet. Is there anyway to have the window position itself so the active cell is in the upper left corner of my frozen panes?

I've created a spreadsheet of clients and info; I want each client name to link to their specific folder on my computer for easy referencing. I entered in all the links and they work just fine; however, when i tried to save the file to another location on my computer so it could be used by another employee (same terminal, etc, just in another folder) the hyperlinks stopped working.

I have a hyperlink to [url] that doesn't work. When I click it I get an error saying "Unable to locate the server or proxy server". But when I cut & paste the address from the hyperlink into my browser (no chance of mistyping), it works fine.

I have entered this value into a cell on my worksheet. It is referencing a cell in another worksheet on a shared drive on my network.
='\servershare$[doc1.xls]Sheet1'!$A$1
All is fine until I re-open the document, whereby it has changed to:
='\serverusers$share$[doc1.xls]Sheet1'!$A$1
I have been advised to set the hyperlink base as \servershare$
...but this clearly does not work.

I am looking to publish some workbooks to the masses as a mht (single web file), but I had a couple of questions before I did that:
Is it possible to have a hyperlink to a hidden or very hidden page in the same workbook?
or
Is it possible to hide some rows and have the hyperlink unhide those rows when selected?
Also, will the areas be exposed when opening the .mht?

I inserted a hyperlink into a cell that goes to a web page. It works when the sheet is NOT protected, as soon as I protect the sheet it stops working. How do can I lock the workbook and that cell so nobody can change it but the hyperlink still work?

I am trying to develop a spreadsheet that will calculate a cost based on a matrix. I am attaching a sample of the calculation created so far. The end result is in cell M13 and is highlighted in yellow. I kind of layed the formula out in a few different cells, so hopefully it would be easy to follow.
simplify this process with maybe another formula that I might not be aware of, or maybe show me how to get this done in VB code. I think VB code would be the correct way to go just not sure.

I have this code that looks through my worksheet once the conditions are met it will email, and in column "M" I put a hyperlink to where the document is stored. All works as far as the email format, even grabs the hyperlink but it’s not clickable in the email.

i need to work out a formula for my spreadsheet which I use to work out cutting lists for timber frames. I need it to work out if the width of a job is for eg 2400mm i need to work out how many timber studs I need so the space between each stud is between 400mm and 500mm and this will need to work for a range of different sizes of frames. I have it written at the moment and it just devides the width by 400 and gives me a amount of studs but it would work much better if it could space them between 400 & 500.

In a project i am compiling i need to work accurately with times to calculate the work progress of the people in the workshop thus....here goes....
I have in work book #1 (7) sheets mon to fri + complete week + a sheet where all job numbers are collected.
From monday to friday the workmen log their times as a start time and a end time. This has to be then calculated to a total hours:mins spent per job, wich in turn then has to be calculated to a total hours:mins spent per day. And the on the complete week sheet recalculated as a total time worked per week.

I am having a slight problem copying hyperlinks. I have written some code that sorts data by date and then creates a simple diary. It originally placed the name of the event in the new diary sheet. What I would like to do is instead of copying the name into this new sheet copy a hyperlink that I have created to the company's website for that event.
I can create the hyperlink using hyperlink(B1,A1) where A1 is the company name and B1 is the web address but since the new sheet will not have the underlying data I need to actually copy the values and format of the hyperlink rather than the formula.

I have a range of cells in a work sheet "sheet 1 " my objective is to filter this range according to certain criteria (i ve succeeded to do this ) yet what i want to do now is copy this data to another existing worksheet in a certain range .
note :the existing worksheet to which i 'll copy the filtered data has some cells out of the range that i dont want to over write ..

I am using Excel 2000
I have recently opened a file sent to me, and since closing it my Edit menu does not work properly when I open any existing files or start a new file
The problem is with Copy, Cut Paste and Paste Special, when I click on the Edit menu they are all greyed out, also if I right click they are also greyed out
Obviously the file I opened has changed some settings, how do I re-set this

Is there a way to setup a spreadsheet so data that has been entered cannot ne deleted or edited, and only the last field in the column can be accessible? So if I have info entered in a1, a2, a3, b1, b2, b3, no one can edit or delete them, and can only add to a4 and b4? Will I need to write a macro for this or is it something I can do with certain settings?

The edit box used to make or edit ranges for Defined Names is VERY difficult to use for long char strings. The arrow keys do not move the cursor within the edit box & the end key does not work.
How to edit range names that are 100-200 characters long?
Are there settings to alter behavior of arrow keys withing these "range definition boxes"?

I am facing problem with my footer, which is as under:

My footer should be printed at the bottom of my paper as shown above. But, as expected, when I change margins of page or even change the printing preference, like best print to draft print or like that, it goes changing like this:

So, it become headache for me. i have to first see the print preview and then after I can go for printing. How to deal with this problem?
There should be two lines in footer: first will have _____________________________________only and the second one will have E-mail:xxx_yyyy@somewhere.com

My purpose is to give my endusers a workbook with a macro in it which applies changes to existing workbooks on their computers. I want the enduser to select each workbook to apply the changes and have the macro capture the names of the workbooks so they can verify that all of the appropriate workbooks have been changed.
I’m trying to change two types of data: (1) text, (2) formulas.
