I have 6 Headings in excel named...
"A" in cell A1, B in B1, "C" in C1, "D" in D1, "E" in E1 and "F" in F1.
There are two projects.
Project 1 has phase A, D & F and Project 2 has phase A, B, C, D & E.
My Specification follows...
1). Take Prject 1 - Which starts from A...in cell A2 I will keyin "A". When the phase comes to an end I will key in the end date of the phase. As soon as I key in the end date in cell A2 Letter D should automatically appear in the cell D2 and when Phase D comes to an end I will key in the end date in Cell D2 which should automatically keyin F in the cell F2. and is the same case for Project 2.
I have a macro which is identifying unique values between two sheets (sheets '4' and '5') then pasting these unique values at the end of the list (column C) on sheet '5'. It also drags down the formulas in columns D and E in sheet '5' as long as there is text in column C.
Does anyone know how i can add to the macro so that for every unique value added from sheet '4' to sheet '5' the word "uncategorised" is added to the respective cell in column F on sheet '5'.
I only want this to be for the new text added (the unique values form sheet '4') because column F will be blank for these cells.
I'm trying to find vehicle make and model in a cell containing a lot of text and then display that in the formula cell. For example if A1 is a paragraph that contains somewhere within it "Ford" & "Ranger". I want B1 to display "Ford" and C1 to display "Ranger". I have a list of vehicles makes (column A) and models (column B) on a seperate sheet.

I'm having a 6000+ records, (contacts DB) exported in Excel 2003 format from MS Outlook.
Except the "First" and "LastName", all other contact elements are in the field "Notes" (which is the BZ column according to the exported outlook layout) multiplied by 6469 (records in total)

Now, I want every time to take the part of the text says "TER:something..." (part of which is date, but not every time with the known format dd-mm-yyyy, as you see here is yyy, followed by something else, with parenthesis here and maybe more data) and copy it in a new cell..., e.g:CO Column, same Row...
Above and every field which by the way is formatted as General (and it is text mainly) are made by merging older excel fields where data laid here and there, that's why you see the commas...with the method of a module with the following code:

I want to enter the word 'Closed' in cell B1 when the due date in cell A1 is exceeded by 272 days. I have tried using conditional formatting and excel accepts the formula but nothing seems to happen. Here is what I have tried;
B1=IF(A1<=NOW()-272,"Closed")
So I have a column that will have the same text in all of the cells contained within it except for one cell. Is there a formula that I can use that will automatically find and transpose the text of the one cell that is unique out of the column? I was thinking of an IF function, but the column could be up to 60 cells in length.

When I click on a cell to enter text, a new little text window pops up inside the cell and doesn't allow me to enter text. No matter where I click in the cell another little text window appears. I also can't delete the text in the cell because the little text window pops up again and again.

How would I pull only a specific word from a text cell? If you see my example, in one column I have various job titles. If A2 contains "Manager", then in B2 return "Manager. If A1 contains "Coordinator", return "Coordinator. Etc.

What I need is for "Take 5 PPE Swabs per Area, Both Shifts." to be bold and highlighted in gray, but none of the other text. Conditional formatting highlights the entire cell, which won't work.
Not sure why this won't work. Just want to insert the text line "11 color" in column "I" if a user enters a number higher than 199 in column "G".

I am looking for some macro code where I can just type in the product ID into a textbox, then hit enter (or a 'go' button) and then the cursor will move to the cell containing the part number.
I know Ctrl+F will do the job for me, but because of the frequency that I do these searches, a text input box would be easier still.
The nearest solution I could find was the one here Find text but its a bit 'overkill' for my needs.

I need the value inside a specific cell that dynamcially moves up and down based on the # of rows for that month (because it's below the rows of data).
So I made a formula to identify the exact cell # every month.
Example:
This month the exact cell is F255 in the "Refi" sheet.
So my formula in the "Summary" sheet cell A1 first finds the cell row # only (255) and since it's always column F, in B1 I have
VB:
="F" & (A1)
This outputs "F255" in B1, successfully identifying the target cell.
Now how do I write a formula in C1 to grab the value from whatever cell is named in B1. (For this month, the value in cell F255 from the "Refi" sheet)
I'm trying to copy data from one excel sheet to another excel sheet. However, the data to be copied is dependent on the 'client name'.
To explain this further, in the first list I have a detailed report on our clients and the services provided to every employee of that company/client.
However, the sheet two only needs the names of the employees that belong to a specific client.
This can be done manually by setting a fliter on the name of the client/company, but I need to be automated. To ensure only that specific company/client company's employee name is copied.
I am trying to create a macro that will allow a user to click a button, enter a text string that will be an email address into a field and have it added to the first empty row in column A or column C on sheet 1. I have not been able to record this with the macro recorder. The input box will be in cell E9 on sheet1.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a daily report that gives a percentage based on what is typed into the "Supplier" and "Total Sales" columns but I'm having trouble writing the following formulas since my excel knowledge is relatively low.
1. Where a cell in the "Supplier" column says anything but "Den", "Burrowed" or "Studio Nyx" I need the "60%" and "40%" columns filled with the relevant formula (=B11*60% for example) and the "100%" column blank.
2. Additionally, if the cell contains "Den", "Burrowed" or "Studio Nyx" I need the "100%" column filled and the "60%" and "40%" blank.
I am creating a spreadsheet that when I type the product series in cell A1, it will automatically know to enter the corresponding catalog # into cell B1. I will be doing this for hundreds of product series.
For Example:
If I type AEP into cell A1, the worksheet will automatically enter #123 into cell B1,
If I type DEB into cell A2, the worksheet will automatically enter #458 into cell B2,
and so on...
I understand that I will have to create a master list with what series goes with each catalog #, but I am not to sure where to go from there?

If the name is John, Joining date = 01/01/2012, Resignation Date 06/06/13
