Excel 2010 :: Macro To Copy 3 Cell Values And Append To Existing Database File

I'd like my macro (in an Excel 2010 workbook) to copy values from three worksheet cells and append them to an existing Access or SQL database file -- without having to leave my Excel spreadsheet or open any other programs. The database file simply needs to be appended. Keeping a running list. That file isn't being used for anything else, we can set it up however is necessary to do this.
For example, Excel cells A1, A2, and A3. Representing Job Name, Job Number and Job Total.
how make VBA do this(in SIMPLE terms)? Or give me a link of where to look or what to search for? I understand VBA but not Access or SQL.

I'm trying to use Excel to build a text file based on values from certain cells in Excel 2010. This is based partially off of static text that never changes and variables that will need to change. For example, I want Excel to output a text file that has the following text: The red fox jumped over the $X twice. I would want $X to be replaced by the value of A1 of the active worksheet. I will also have several lines like that, so it won't just be a single line, but anywhere from 20 - 120.

Some of my worksheets are permission protected. They will allow me only to view the sheets - No editing, copy, cut, sort, add filter, etc. Is there a way to hack this and copy data (including formating) into other / new worksheets?

I recorded a macro to save my file as PDF and assigned the macro to a button. Easy. Now I would like to change my macro to pause when the file is saving to allow the user to enter a file name. If that is not possible, I'd like to reference a cell to use as the file name. I have gone through other posts and tried changing my macro, but always get an error. I am using Excel 2010. Following is my code for saving to pdf.

I have a folder containing 40 single sheet excel workbooks and I would like to automate following tasks:
- Open each excel file (need to open the file so as to update it since it gets the data from another workbook through =formulas)
- Copy paste as values
- Save this as excel html in the same folder as original excel files (keeping the original file name)
- Close (original excel file should not be changed ie formulas should remain in place, only the html file will contain values)
- Since there will always be xHtml files with same name need the macro to replace the excisting file
My abilities with excel are limited to functions, no VBA knowledge other than finding ready codes and pasting them in the module.
Since this routine is to be run almost daily the macro should run all files, instead of one by one.
I just hope that I am not asking too much for excel to handle and I hope that explanation is clear.

I'm joining to 2 cells into one. A1 = 12 Rushwood Street and B1 = London. So C1 = 12 Rushwood Street London
I need C1 to look like this:

I tried wrap text but when I import it comes out as one line in the database.

Following macro code is for copying Excel Invoice Data to Excel Database. Also cleans the specified cells after copying. Its working Perfectly.
But there are some issues that should be solved.
Problem 1: It copies empty cells(""), formula based cells and blank drop-down list.
Problem 2: After copying it cleans formulas too. Formulas must be remain their.

I have attached an example workbook where I have three worksheets i.e. Data1, Data2 and Master Data all of which have the same data format in each column
I have data in the Data1, Data2 tabs and was wondering if it is possible to copy the data from both these tabs (using formulas) onto the Master Data bearing in mind the rows of data in the Data1, Data2 can vary on week to week basis.

I've already found a TON of threads about this process but nothing that matches specifically what I'm trying to do.
I have a spreadsheet that I'm using to auto fill other tabs with data that only matches specific criteria. Here's what I'm looking to do:
Columns I, J, K, and L may be marked as either Y or N (or blank). I have different sheets that require 1, 2, 3, or 4 of those columns to match Y. For example, on sheet 2 I want to copy the entire row if there's a "Y" match on column I and J. On sheet 3 I want to match "Y" against, I, J, and K. Sheet 4 I need to match only L, etc.
I need the data copied into the existing sheets to start on row 7. I have other data on rows 1-6 that cannot be moved.
I'm running Excel 2007.

USING EXCEL 2010
I am trying to record a macro where the last step is to SAVE AS the file. I want it to use the current date as the end of the file name.
i.e.
Daily OST -- 2012-08-10
Daily OST -- 2012-08-11
Daily OST -- 2012-08-12
etc...
This is what is currently in the macro but all it gives me is the first part "Daily OST --". How to fix?

I am an extreme novice to using macros.
I used the 'record macro' feature to create the following: I created a rectangle box on sheet1 of NEW TEST.xlsm to link to the macros incidated below. Niether macro moves on after reaching the Workbooks.Open statement.

What I am trying to accomplish is this: From 'NEW TEST.xlsm', open an excel file on the network, add a new sheet to this network file, calling it 'Pivot'. Then create a pivot table in this new sheet from the data in sheet data1 of this same network file. Then move control of macro / processing back to the NEW TEST file. Eventually I will do more, but for starters, I cannot even get the macro to add / name a new sheet in the network file.

Excel 2010.I'm using this code to print user's accessing a file:

However as someone could just delete the printed user log in the Sheet2, and also you can't use this if you protect the sheet, which defeats the purpose.
I want it to print the log into a separate file. Can I add in the file path/name to this code somewhere?

I am using the macro below to save a file. It works with the extension .xlsx but not xlsm. I get a message that I can't use this extension for this file type. I am missing something fundamental.

I need a macro to do the following
1.Get list of .xls files from specified folder.
2.Append the files in new workbook in same folder.

I've got a sheet in which I want a drop down box, to ADD the value* to a cell, not overwriting its current value!
*The name of the selected option in the drop down box, the names are located in Map3!A1-n, I set the drop down box to display the related number in a cell next to it.
The cell would contain some text, and by selecting something in the drop down box, it would add the name of that option to the already existing value in the cell.
So if at first the cell's value is
Hi! I 'm Mark,
and you select the following option from the dropdown box
I 'm from Holland!
the cell would end with the value
Hi! I 'm Mark, I'm from Holland!
This would probably work with a macro, already made a start with it but I couldn't get it to ADD the value instead of overwriting it.

Using excel 2010 on PC.
Paste URL as Hyperlink: I just want to paste a bunch of urls into a spreadsheet and have them automatically formatted as urls. i've checked my auto-correct options, and i have selected the checkbox that says: replace as you type/internet and network paths with hyperlinks.
See attached. if you copy and paste a url into the spreadsheet, it will be formatted as text.
Format Existing URLs as Hyperlinks : the attached spreadsheet contains urls that have been copy & pasted. is there a way to format them as hyperlinks all at once?

I have made a custom list in Excel 2010 so it auto-increments the alphabet using the auto increment pull down/copy square on the bottom right of a cell in Excel. My question is I have some data in a sheet such as this

What I want to do is add a letter of the alphabet to the end of these numbers and have the alphabet auto increment based on the data above like this:

I have a filename written in cell A1- eg dog.jpg - and I want to insert a set character string just before the .jpg part. ie so it becomes dog_test.jpg in B1. How would you guys do it? I've been thinking of really long-winded methods that'd use several cells, but I reckon there might be a cleverer way!

I am trying to create a database that contains data taken from several work books that i have saved in one folder on my hard drive. These workbooks contain quite a lot ** data, but i only want to extract the data i want to instead ** having to extract it all? these works books are used by several other people as well, so i want it to be able to update as data changes.
I was thinking about using data links, but that only seems to extract all the data instead ** just what i want?
