File Format Equals Marco-Enabled Workbook

I want to save the Excel file as "Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook." Currently, File Format:=xlNormal within the VBA code and the results saves the Excel file as .xls. How do I write the File Format to save the Excel file as "Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook."

Below is an example:

So I am trying to make a file that when opened will act as a template does and change the file name on start-up.

Typically, the template changes the file name by appending one number (e.g. "Book Template REV 1.1.xltm' upon opening would change the file name to 'Book Template REV 1.11.xlsx'). What I want to do, however, is to custom the name change so I could use the file 'Book Template REV 1.1.xltm' while having it change the file name upon opening to 'Custom Name 567.xlsx', without a user being notified of the change (since typically when a template opens the file, the user has no notification that the file name has changed ever so slightly).

Macro Enabled Workbook IOS App?

Is it possible to have a macro-enabled workbook to work on ios software(iphone or ipad app)? Currently I cant find any spreadsheet app that will let you have a macro enabled workbook. The code from the posts below would be great if they worked on my phone or ipad.

Workbook To Open Only If Macros Are Enabled

I have created an Excel Workbook and this Workbook has a VBA code that enforces an expiry date of the workbook (TimeBomb from cpearson.com). So, if the expiry date has passed, the workbook will not open. But since it is VBA related, the expiry date will work only if one has enabled macros. If macros are disabled, the workbook will open regardless of the date.

So, is there a way for Excel to check if macros are enabled? and is there a way for Excel not to open the workbook, if the macros are disabled?

Force Macros Enabled On Workbook Open?

I'm posting a workbook on our network that I want to enable users to go in and update. I have the workbook designed, with entry fields for the data they need to enter, and they then push "Submit" to submit the new data to a hidden tracking log within the workbook.

Many of the users will be complete Excel newbies, and although I haven't posted the workbook yet, I am trying to anticipate possible issues. The first that comes to mind is that the user opening the workbook may not have macros enabled in their version of Excel, and they will get a message, and can't perform the udpate. Is there a way to add a Workbook Open event that automatically enable macros in the workbook when they open it, even if it is for this workbook only?

I prtected several sheets with the xlVeryHidden command I got from you. But when the user does not allow Macros to be executed, also these protections are not executed. Does there exist any solution to this problem? Something like "when macros are not allowed do NOT open file"?

I have been working on an excel spreadsheet and have come acrss this problem once before too. When I try to open this file it hangs and does not respond. the file size is not too big (490KB). When I disable macros i can open the same file but when the macro are enabled, it hangs. have been trying to look for a solution but just dont know what to do.

I am looking for a formula to allow an image file to show when a cell equals a certain text string. If it can be done can it be achieved with multiple images? I am making a database that will calculate from many variables my required glass sizes, given the size and window type and I was hoping to go one step further by making it raise a purchase order from a series of images and other related data.

Code To Copy Data From Another Workbook Where Offset Cell Equals None

My workbook stores data related to items that are all tracked by barcodes. Im using the following code (as part of a larger set of code) to copy data from rows 6 on in column D, E & G to K from one workbook to another. The data in F (Item Names) is found using a formula, by matching the barcode data in the corresponding G cell (on the same row) to another sheet (where the barcodes and Item names are stored). When the data has finished copying over and EnableEvents gets turned back on the F column mostly automatically fills itself in from the formula.

The issue I have however is in certain circumstances there are some items that either dont have a barcode, or the barcode is missing. In this case the user types "none" (not case sensitive), which opens a userform allowing the user to type in an Item name that gets entered into the F cell, overwriting the formula. I need to copy this data over separately to the new workbook. Im looking for code to find these records from row 6 on (either by searching for rows where G equals "none", or rows where F has no formula, and then copy the data in F over to the other workbook to the corresponding row number but offset by the number of records already present in the active workbook (currently being calculated by wbReturnDataLastRow).

Currently, all of our data in Excel are linked by using Excel Functions between workbooks and some of the files are so large that it may take 10 minutes to open and copy and paste a cell may take three minutes (which is ridiculous slow).

when i run this marco, i get a Password msgs box appear, now is there away of running it so that it does not ask for a password, I have tried to unprotect the sheet with a password which works, but it never re-protected it self,

Auto Find/Replace And Marco Sort

I'm looking for is something that searches all worksheets in the work book for occurances of A1 (shovel) and replace it with A2 (spades). The list will be about 100 cells long and the idea would be that I could copy a sheet called "replace" with this list in, run it and standardise all the terms in the list within that workbook. Does it sound feasable?

The other query I'm not sure can be done. When I've tidied all these 'names' to a standard one, I want to sort the data (sometimes rows, sometimes columns) alphabeticalled for instance by the A1 to A10, or by A1 to Z1. Simply using the sort option loses all the references as is doesnt change any cells linked to that cell. The only way I could think to make keep the other cells pointing to where they should is to cut and paste/each row/column in alphabetical order manually.

File Format Or File Extension Not Valid

I saved my worksheet in vba .xlsx and for some reason, when I go to the folder that it's saved in and try to open the file I get an error message saying "excel cannot open the file 'PO Acks fo 09-20-2013.xlsx' because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file"

This is weird because I have another file that I save right before this that opens just fine without an error. Getting frustrating. When I go into the ~Users folder it shows as an excel file and saved as .xlsx.

Where would the link be missing?
