Code To Copy Data From Another Workbook Where Offset Cell Equals None

My workbook stores data related to items that are all tracked by barcodes. Im using the following code (as part of a larger set of code) to copy data from rows 6 on in column D, E & G to K from one workbook to another. The data in F (Item Names) is found using a formula, by matching the barcode data in the corresponding G cell (on the same row) to another sheet (where the barcodes and Item names are stored). When the data has finished copying over and EnableEvents gets turned back on the F column mostly automatically fills itself in from the formula.
The issue I have however is in certain circumstances there are some items that either dont have a barcode, or the barcode is missing. In this case the user types "none" (not case sensitive), which opens a userform allowing the user to type in an Item name that gets entered into the F cell, overwriting the formula. I need to copy this data over separately to the new workbook. Im looking for code to find these records from row 6 on (either by searching for rows where G equals "none", or rows where F has no formula, and then copy the data in F over to the other workbook to the corresponding row number but offset by the number of records already present in the active workbook (currently being calculated by wbReturnDataLastRow).

I've not had much experience with VBA code, other than recording macros and editing them a little. What i would like to do is code a macro to copy the data (text only) of a whole worksheet into a blank worksheet in a different workbook, effectively allowing the user to "upload" the data to a master workbook.
The user will complete data entry into a daily template worksheet containing all formulae to obtain necessary daily data. I would like them to then be able to click a button that runs a macro copying the text data from the daily template to a monthly workbook. I have no problem recording this in a macro and the code for that (no doubt there is a more efficient way) is:

The monthly workbook will contain 31 sheets (named 1,2,3...31) for the days, and each month will have it's own workbook (named Jan, Feb, Mar...Dec).
The key thing I need is using cells within the daily workbook to determine the month and day used by VBA for the filename and worksheet respectively.
Cell B5 contains the day (eg. 1) and C5 the month (e.g. Jan)

I am trying to figure out how to go down a list of words and copy/paste a row if it equals a specific ring of words. For example, if want to go down a column and copy the word "Dog" if the word is "Dog" and paste it to the second sheet in a certain column... The thing that I can't figure out is how to step down to the next row until the cell is empty.

I have a workbook ("CaTr") Sheet1 has data ranging ("B2:I41").
There are about 30 cells values (scattered) which needs to be copied in a workbook "CA_Log" in one single next available row .
As soon as the CaTr.sheet1 is filled I want the operator to click a button to trigger this event. Then the sheet1 in workbook CaTr should be saved as "G3" cell value.

On one workbook I have "column A" that lists serial #'s, one serial number per cell. What I need is to be able to take all the non blank data from that column and copy it to another workbook with all those serial #'s in 1 cell numerically sorted and separated by commas.

I'm trying to use an offset loop to write form data onto a closed workbook. It works fine when the sheet is blank but as soon as I fil the first row it sticks when running. I'm not getting any error in the code and am at a bit of a loss.
Here's what I'm using:

I need to create a macro wheather it be for each row or perhaps a dynamic macro that based on the active cell it can then offset based on my Expense type(Column B) into the respective row.
i had placed a sample of what i need to come up with highlighted in red. I need to copy the data in C7, C8, C9, etc... into D7:N7, D8:N8, etc... I have over 950 rows this code will need to be copied to. Columns do not move.
So if choose "fixed then i need for the macro to copy and paste data in each of those cells for Febuary to December. Should i choose "variable" then it places a "0" for Febuary to December and should I choose "NA" then nothing happens and i dont need code for that. It needs to be running constantly that way i dont need to run the macro so it needs to be in a module i beleive.
My problem is that i have three years of data and i have over 950 rows for expenses. THis is just a morsol. I cant place code in the cells as the expenses go there and it will just over write the code and is useless to me. That is why i need a macro that based on what i choose it then copies January's expense appropriately and for now it doesnt need to be dynamic but i prefer that it be based on the active cell if this is possible as i used over 950 option buttons and it worked but as the file gets bigger it crashes my computer.. 'Not enough Resources" .. gigs of ram and a 3.6 processor..

I'm trying to use an offset from a Named Range as my source cell in a vlookup but get a -1004 Object not defined error. When Debugged the Range.Formula appears to be blank when queried. Using Record a Macro the Reference to a named range worked fine but I could not test for an offset or the use of the range reference. What can I do to use to make this work

I have a workbook 'logsheet' were i enter data like 'coil, supplier, thickness, width' and 'lot'. This happens 7 times on one logsheet. When the logsheet is filled, a new copy is created (from a hidden empty logsheet).
I want this data to copied to a seperate sheet - eg called data - in same workbook so that it can be used in other workbooks as external data.
I want to enter a formula on the logsheet worksheets and not on the data logsheet because the amount of logsheets (and coils) is unkown and can vary each lot.
Is this possible with formulas eg copyto? (if that formula exists ><)
Is it possible to add data from worksheets that still have to be created from the empty logsheet

I have a VBA-coded macro in an Excel workbook that is to open another existing workbook -- a .xls file, not .csv -- copy data from it, paste that into the original workbook where the macro resides, then close the source workbook.
If I use the debugger to step through the macro -- putting a breakpoint at its first executable line, run the macro, then F8 step through it, it works fine. (With delays at the open, close statements.) Free running, it doesn't. I suspect it's a timing issue, that the macro runs full tilt even though the new workbook isn't yet open -- but I don't know how to remedy that.
Here is the situation and the simplified code (the actual macro does a lot more, of course):
Main workbook: Two sheets, "Parameters" that has the fully-qualified filename for the desired source .xls in A1; and "Data", into which I want to paste data from that source.
Source workbook: Single sheet, "Sheet1"
Macro code. For simplicity, it is trying to copy/paste all of the source worksheet's content:

When I step through it, the Locals view has all the parameters, getting set properly. If I try to simply run it, it stalls at the opened source workbook, the Locals view is empty, no data has been transferred into the initiating workbook.
If I place the breakpoint after the open, it is not reached. (I have the VBA open.) Hitting F8 then yields a VB error window, "Compile Error" "Expected: To"

I use an excel time sheet for my employees and I am wanting to use a command button to copy data in a cell from worksheet1 to worksheet2. The cell that will be copied from worksheet1 will always be "S14". I want to copy that data to another worksheet and have it paste the data in the correct cell. The code needs to find the employees name in worksheet2 and paste the data in the next blank cell. Currently the command button I have works perfectly but I have to use the specific range, I would rather have the code seek out the employees name on worksheet2 so that I don't have to worry about specific row/column ranges. Is it possible? I'm sure it is. I have attached what worksheet2 looks like.
Rather than having to use .Range("A4:AA4") I would prefer to have the code find the employees name.

using VBA and most of what i know has come from reading through blogs. I'm trying to copy 5 separate pieces of data from one row on our Payroll sheet and paste this in to another sheet call master dump.
The issue that i am having is that the code i have written keeps coming up with a run time error 1004 at the line "a.Select"
What i need the code to do is this: Copy the data from cell A4 and paste this on to another worksheet in to row cell b2, date worked in to d2, pay code in ot f2, hours in to h2 and the cost centre in to ad. all on the same row. i then need it to move on to the next team member (in this case A5) and repeat until there is no emp#. once the monday is done it will need to move onto Tuesday.

I have a spreadsheet with 2 worksheets. I have a variable cell and a display cell on Worksheet A and two other cells with information on Worksheet B that I need copied over to Worksheet A based on what is entered for the variable on Worksheet A.
I want to be able to enter a variable in Worksheet A, cell B25. I then want the code to look up the variable I just entered at B25 on Worksheet B, column A. Once the code finds the variable, then I want the code to copy what is in column B and enter it into Worksheet A cell C25.
In other terms, I want to enter "Bob" in Worsheet A, B25. On Worksheet B, I have 50 different names of people in column A and additional info directly to the right of their names in column B. When I enter "Bob", I want the code to find "Bob" on the Worksheet B and enter "is worthless" on Worksheet A, cell C25.
I have tried and got the code to work with several If/then statements and I accomplished the same using a select case arguement as well using something along the lines of "if B25="Bob" then C25=worksheet B("B2")" assuming Bob is in cell A2. My concern is the info on Worksheet B is fluid. I need to be able to sort and add additional lines at any given time. My data set is going to be between 500 and 800 rows. Any time I add a row and re-sort the data set, I want the code to find "Bob" in column A and then display what is in column B in Worksheet A, C25. I can continue to use the if/then statements, but they are static and if I add a new row near the top, I would have to re-number all the if/then statments in the code.

This is probably far easier then I am making it but I need to take the information that is in a textbox created through the control toolbox and copy and paste that information into a cell on different tab in the workbook. I have tried the infamous google and haven't been able to find much. The excel books that I have don't really touch on the control toolbox functions.

I have a data sheet with employee information. Only one column. It prefixes information with codes, but keeps it in the same cell. I want to move data of certain types into their own columns, but the amount of data is variable, so I cannot simply move every Nth cell, etc.
i.e.
Employee#1
200 Firstname Lastname
204 99999999 (Employee ID)
G38 00005000 (i.e. Pension Deduction)
H38 00007580 (i.e. Benefits Deduction)
X96 00012099 (i.e. Staff Club Deduction)
Employee#2
200 Firstname Lastname
204 99999998
G38 00000775
X96 00001000
So you see some employees may have different codes altogether. But I know that I want all the cells that start with 200 to be offset (-1,1), and all the cells that start with 204 to be offset (-1,2), and so on so that basically I end up with columns of info instead of a one column list.
I have been reading and studying other peoples' macros, and am just starting to grasp the basic. When I wrote my own to accomplish this, I put this together, which doesn't work. But I don't know enough to know what I don't know.

I have an invoicing spreadsheet, what I want is to have a main working page and then tabs after separated by vendor, but save myself a bunch of manual work in the future.
I want to be able to work in the main tab and the other tabs automatically update with the new info.
So I want the macro to search the text in the first column and if it finds "AIM Land Services Ltd." then I want it to populate the appropriate tab, in this case "AIM", with all the respective information after it ie: A-O. But I dont want it to select any other vendors/ info.
This is what I have:

What can I add to the macro I already have in place (below) to accomplish what I'm looking for (2 parts)? ...
1) I need to copy everything (formulas) that is in C7:F7 and paste it down to all "active" rows - I'm defining an active row by any row where column A is not blank.
2) I need to copy everything (formulas) that is in Q7:AF7 and paste it down to all "active" rows - I'm defining an active row by any row where column P is not blank. (You'll notice by the screenshot that there will be blank cells in column P mixed in with non-blank cells.)

I want to save the Excel file as "Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook." Currently, File Format:=xlNormal within the VBA code and the results saves the Excel file as .xls. How do I write the File Format to save the Excel file as "Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook."

I am trying to paste some codes to the "ThisWorkbook" section of a file. The codes I am trying to paste will prevent the user from: doing a Save As (to keep them from saving the files anywhere else in the network) and to Disable the Macro (only showing a prompt sheet if they do so they can go back and enable the macros). The file that these codes will go to is sheet and workbook protected, and some cells are protected, and cells that they can edit have data validation formulas. In a post dated Nov 6, 2003 (thread 16750) I found a useful code that lets me paste the codes above to a target file. But when I save and close the file, the Disable macro does not work.
So I tried long method and pasted the codes into the ThisWorkbook section manually. Save and closed manually. and when I opened the file, the Disable and Enable works. Just as a background, I am a beginner with VB and I can't write my own codes yet, but I try to piece them together from forum answers. I need VB to do this because I have 263 individual files to prepare. I used to use AutoPilot, which is a scripting software but it's so prone to bonking out that I would rather do it in VB if possible. These are the codes am trying to paste:

In a workbook with several worksheets i would like (as part of a backup function) make a copy of one of the worksheets.
The code of the complete project is distributed over a module (module1) and several Microsoft excel objects ("thisWorkbook", but also in a number of the worksheets (e.g. in "sheet3 (Risk Management Plan)").
The backup copy of the worksheet (in this example also containing e.g. the Microsoft excel object "sheet6 (Backup of Risk Management Plan)" should be free of any macro code. this to avoid unintended problems by inexperienced users, but also to keep the file size limited.
Probably it would be possible to copy the worksheet without of copying also the code. Or it would be possible to strip the code only from this particular worksheet without influencing any other code, forms, ... . Or, perhaps, there would even a totally different approach.
I use Windows XP pro Sp2, and Excel 2000 Sp3.

Here is the code I have:

Sheets("Report_P").Copy After:=Workbooks("New_report.xlsx").Sheets(9)
2.xlsm is open. it contains a sheet called Report_P New_report.xlsx is open and has 9 existing sheets
Every time this tries to execute I get a "Run time error 1004 Copy Method of Worksheet Failed".
What is wrong with this code? I have an identical line in another macro, the only difference is that there are 5 sheets pre-existing, and that works fine.
