Fill Table Based On Another Within Date Range & Cut Off Date


I have an 'existing results table' as per my attached sample.

I have had help previously from this forum to create lists of 'sold' stock within date ranges (tax year periods) and these are represented as 'sold list' in my attached sample.

I now need to create a list of 'unsold stock' for each annual tax year end date; i.e. populate my table with items that have been created before the end of the date range and that have not been sold by the end of the date range.

Please can someone show me the formula on my attached sample?

Please see my example in red.

I am working with Excel07 however my attached sample is in Excel03 because I couldn't upload an XLSX file.

Search Table For Date In Date Range
I need to create a table of dates which is structured as such:

A B
1/7/08 Yes
7/7/08 no
25/7/08 yes

Column A is date, Column B is a binary selection (yes, no)

I then have a separate sheet with rows corresponding to each date in July 08. I need a function which will look up the date for each row with the above date range and return the value of column B.

for example - if the date is between 1/7/08 & 6/7/08, it would return Yes. If the date is between 7/7 & 25/7/08 it would return No.

The above table is not fixed and can have many dates, with no pattern for the dates. I though of using a nexted IF statement but it would become a bit clunky.

Compare Dates To Date Range & Return Date Based On Outcome
I need to compare three cells of random dates shown in Column E, F,& G with Row's H5:AK5, H7:AK7, H9:AK7 (the Dates to these rows is Static on row H3:AK3.) EX: ROW 5 has Start Date, End Date (1) and End Date (2). Compare Cell H3 between Start Date & End Date (1). If H3 falls between or equal to Start and End Date(1) then highlight cell H5. Proceed till AK3 (higlighting only the cells H5:AK5). Then compare cell H3 between or equal to End Date (1) and End Date (2) (higlighting only the cells H5:AK5). Then do the same for ROW 7 and ROW 9.

To make things a bit more difficult I need to have " WK#" in Row 14 (these WK# is on another tab called "Task" of the workbook) needs to be displayed in Row's H4:AK4, H6:AK6, & H8:AK8. EX: Compare Date in D15 between or equal to Start Date & End Date (1) then display Wk# in D14 in H4. Continue till all dates in
D15:Z15 are compared to Start Date & End Date (1) and WK#'s in Row D14:Z14 are inputted if applicable in Row H4:AK4, H6:AK6, H8:AK8. I hope this is not confusing. I can't seem to use the upload option so here is alink to download a jpg of the sheet

Sort Table In Date Order But With The Date Nearest To Today's Date At The Top
I have data going in to a small table which has some empty rows as that data is not yet available... My problem is, I need to sort this table in date order but with the date nearest to today's date at the top...

The sort function puts oldest at the top or oldest at the bottom which is no good for what I need...

I use xl 2003.

Fill Data Based On Date Calculations
I am having problems with calculations to be performed on date format. As in attached excel sheet, Start Date and End Date can be defined by the user. Once the user enters the dates, year 0 onwards are to be populated with values so that: (Also, not sure if I will need a button to initiate the calculations or a direct function will suffice)

year0 start = Start Date,
year0 end = (Start Date +12 months) or (End Date), if End Date is before (StartDate + 12)

year1 start = year0 end,
year1 end = (year0 end + 12 months) or (End Date), if End Date is before (year0 end +12)

year2 start = year1 end,
year2 end = (year1 end + 12 months) or (End Date), if End Date is before (year1 end +12)

year3 start = year2 end,
year3 end = (year2 end + 12 months) or (End Date), if End Date is before (year2 end +12)

year4 start = year3 end,
year4 end = (year3 end + 12 months) or (End Date), if End Date is before (year3 end +12)

year5 start = year4 end,
year5 end = End Date

If the dates are such that all years 0 to year 5 may not be covered, the years not used should be blank.

Date Range: Reference A Single Date And Output Date Ranges
I need to create formulas that reference a single date and output date ranges. The objective is to have a person input a Monday date in any given month and receive a four weeks out worth of dates and ranges. For example: In a lone cell, the person inputs 10/13/08. Automatically, the sheet produces the next full week range: October 19 – October 25 in a single cell and also produces a cell for each date. Example: Sunday 19, Monday 20, Tuesday 21, etc…. It should look like:

Monday Date:
10/13/08
October 19 – October 25
Sunday 19
Monday 20
Tuesday 21
Wednesday 22
Thursday 23
Friday 24
Saturday 25

and then repeat for three more weeks. I thought I had it figured out until the month changed. The dates continued in October instead of adding a month. This report will be ran weekly, so simply adding a +1MONTH to some cells will not benefit me as I’ll have to change the formula every week. I want the formula to compute the data without any manipulation over the next several years. The only change will be the Monday date.

VLOOKUP Based On Date In Table
I have a table, which is a price list, with different prices based on different dates. For instance, the dates may be 1/1/04, 6/1/04, 7/1/04, 10/30/04, etc. I have some dates in another table, for instance, 2/2/04, 7/5/04, 12/20/04, etc. I want to lookup the date closest to, but not greater than, the last previous date posted. So, for the first date of 2/2/04, you would use the column with date 1/1/04 from the first paragraph. For a date of 7/5/04, you would use the column with date of 7/1/04. I think this is a simple VLOOKUP function, but not sure how to do a date compare. Also, the lookup has to do two things. First, it has to find the part number in the table, and then match it do the respective most recent date.

Table setup:
Part Number ---- Date
5555555555 ---- 7/5/04

Lookup table:
Part Number ---- 1/1/04 ---- 6/1/04 ---- 7/1/04
5555555555 ---- $65.32 ---- $68.52 ---- $71.52

I want to grab the price with the respective date from the first table. In this case, it would grab the price of $71.52 from the lookup table.

Using VB To Find A Range Based On Todays Date And Todays Date +30
1 column in my sheet is a list of dates (affectively a calendar). I am trying to create a macro that will only display rows 1-5 and then current the current date and the next 30 days and hide all other rows.

The approach I have tried is to use “ADDRESS(MATCH(BS40,$B$1:$B$462,0),2)” equation to find the cell with todays date in it (Cell BS40 contains todays date). This was repeated for todays date +30. The problem I have is that although I now have the cell address’s located I cannot reference their values in a range.select

What I want to do is somwthing like this:

Hide/Show Pivot Table Data Based On Date Criteria

The below code is working for >200702 and removes all years/months prior to this entered value. Unfortunately the code does not work when a user enters <200706, instead the code goes through to the “NonValidCriteria” prompt.

Macro To Pick Up A Range Of Date To Filter On In A Pivot Table
When using a Pivot Table I regularly filter on known data specific to me i.e. WBS codes.

Column ‘A’ contains the WBS Codes which can be as many a 1000, however, I only need to filter out the 10 or so I require, and currently I uncheck all the records and manually scroll through the list to check the ones I require.

In order to speed things up I recorded a macro which works fine, however, If I need to check any new codes I would have to record the macro again, as I tried to edit the Macro and all it does is to un check all the other codes I don't need.

Is it possible to create a Macro that picks up a range of data that is then used to filter on. (i.e. only the records I require)

Avg Based On Date Range
I am diabetic and track my blood sugar on a spread sheet I created. Each month is a page named for the month and year. ( ie: may07, June07 etc ) The last page is my averages page. I monitor averages from the begining as well as several 'last 3 month' statistics. At this time I have to go in each month and change the months on the '3 month averages' formulas then add a month to the 'over all' formula. I want to use a formula that will simply look at the last 3 months without having to manually change the months as well as the 'overall' formula automatically calculating "all" months without adding a new month every month.

And last but not least, I have some sub-total boxes giving a div by zero error with blank cells. What am I doing wrong? Not all boxes do this even though the code is copied and pasted so they all 'appear' identical. Rather than try to paste my code here you can see my spreadsheet at [url]

Selecting Range Based On Date
On sheet 1 in cell A2 I have a date (2/22/07). On sheet 2 I have 4 columns of data...column A has consecutive dates. I am looking for a code that will select the range that begins with the week beginning date of the date that was inputted on sheet 1 and the week ending date. Number Of Days To Add To Date Based On Weekday Of Date
I need to create a formula that states a delivery date when the order date is entered in an adjacent column. Items ordered on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be delivered the Friday of the following week, eg. ordered 23rd April 2008, delivered on the 2nd of May 2008. Conditional Format Range Based On Date
I have a monthly calender, with each month on its own sheet. I have a sheet named Holidays, which list the holidays. I have been able to use conditional format and highlight the dates in the months the holidays fall on, but I would like to highlight a range of cells below the date on monthly sheet. Selecting A Range Based On Date Within That Range
What i'm trying to do is select a range based on the date which happens to be in the first column of the range.

For example, I have a column (A) that contains dates and column (B) that contains names.

Its easy enough to select the entire range using

I need someting that will analyse column A and conditionally selct the range based on the date in column A (ie. it will only select the rows where column A has todays date).

However, I get a Mismatch (13) error with the macro, assuming at the run-time is trying to literally use "startrow:Endrow" as my range instead of pulling the values in the variables.

I have a spreadsheet with two columns - column A contains dates and column B has the corresponding data (always numbers). The data is not uniform (i.e there may be lots of entries in any given day and none over the next few). The data is always sorted in chronological order.

I want to set up a summary table to show the min, mean, median, max for each week. I have set up an array to calculate the mean, but I am having trouble working out a good way of gettting the others short of having a set of columns that manually define each cell...for instance =min(b3:b27) or =min(b28:b30).

Pull Data Out Of A Closed File Based On A Date Range
I am trying to make Excel pull data out of a closed file based on a date range. The closed file is a log where people input data and enter the day they are doing it. I need to pull this data in my file and make it print into my worksheets so I can pass a report on to others with only the data they request from the log.

Restrict Date Entry To Be With Date Range/Scope
I'm having a problem with data validation. I set an entire column so that it could only be a date between the first date in the list and the current date. I tested a few cells to make sure that it was working the way I wanted and I noticed that it allows a random number like 3 or 5 to be input after row 50. This would create a date in the 1900s. Why is this happening and how can I stop it.

Delete Rows If Cell Contains Date Outside Date Range
I've found similar queries on the site, but none seem to handle multiple dates, and my attempts so far have been futile!

Requirement:
I press a button on Sheet1 and am prompted to enter a start date and an end date.

Depending on the dates I enter, all rows on Sheet2 which fall outside the Start/End date range will be deleted.

All dates to be checked against on Sheet2 are in a single column, and all rows are populated, there are no blanks. Dates are in the format dd/mm/yy

Week Number For Date Relative To Date Range
Is there a UDF that can determine the number of weeks for a date range specific that is not relative to the week number for the year but for the date range itself. i am aware of the weeknum function but this is for week number relative to the year. eg. date range 01/03/2008 - 31/05/2008 has approx 12 weeks and 14/05/2008 will be week number 10 for the range.

Round Date Based On Day Of Date
I am trying to make a spreadsheet that will calculate how long someone has been working for us but what i need is for the date started to be rounded to the start of the nearest month. (ie. Start Date: Jan. 1 - 15, = Jan 1. and Start Date: Jan.15 - Feb.15 = Feb. 1....). Is there a way to do this? Copy Data Based On Date Range Put In By User For Report
I have looked through the forum and found pits and peices but can not put the puzzle together. Found the VBA code in my example from a earlier post but there was no final answer to the post.

Formula To Show A Date Range Based On The Amount Shown In Another Cell
Attached is a excel file that has a working formula for tracking cashier variances. I edited out names etc.

I added a new cell called Track Back on the employee search sheet.

What I want to do is only show variances for the amount of days back selected in the Track Back cell.

For example if I select the last 30 days, only the last 30 days would show up below in the sheet.

I am not sure if this is even possible based on the forumla that is already on the sheet. I couldn't figure out a way of doing it. But there are a lot of people on here much better with excel than me

Copy Rows To New Sheet Based On Date Range Selected On A Form
This spreadsheet must perform calculations for every line since new items are added every day, so VBA is probably better than copying formulas down every line of the spreadsheet:

With the press of a button, I need to be able to select a range of dates and copy all lines within the range to a seperate sheet with the desired name under the same headings they currently reside under. I have included some modified code that is being used in another spreadsheet that was created for me, but I do not pretent to understand all of it and I no longer work with the creator of the spreadsheet. How do I use a button to open the form for date selections and entering the name of the new sheet, and then use the start button on the form to begin the matching and copying to a new sheet? If there is an easier way I am all for that too.

Also, I need to keep a total of all items by month as well as a monthly and annual average of the Total Item Value on the FY09 tab. This will eventually produce another sheet when a button is pressed to submit as a report. I think part of this answer is in using the MONTH(serial_number) function but I can only get this to work for a single cell. I need to search the entire Distribution 'D' column, match all the months to the FY09 tab to the respective month, and calculate the totals and averages. I think SUMIF may also be needed as well but need the MONTH(serial_number)to work first. If there is a way to code all of this in VBA that would be fine as well.

I have a pivot table on Sheet1 where I am trying to get the totals and averages described above but I am not sure it can do what I need. In column 'B' I need the total number of each item as well as the total number of all items. I tried various formats and adding the totals from the Totals tab but I have not figured it out.

VBA Code To Set Unknown Range Based On Current Date In 1 Column
i have a sheet for monitoring sickness. i have used a macro before which automatically selects a range and emails it to recipients when i press a button. what i would like to do is have excel automatically choose the range for me based on today's day. in the attached example i would like column "A" copied along with the 5 columns before today's date, today's date column and also the 5 columns after today's date. paste the lot into an email and send. Sorting Data By Date Within A Date Range
Hello, I have a question about sorting information using dates but using a range. I need this to sort when I enter a date range into the spreadsheet (the blue blocks on the attached spreadsheet). The factors in colum G need to be sorted by month and input into the yellow highlighted area in column B. There may be an easier way of pulling the data from the "Data" sheet but this was the best I could figure out. Overall, January (or any of the months)needs to have the January (or appropriate) factor that fits within the date range that was input but sorted properly based on the months listed in Column A.

Next Date Matching Criteria Within Date Range
I'm setting up a spreadsheet to manage recurring tasks that fall within a given date range.

I have a named variable (theDate) which pulls the list of matching tasks that fall on a single day, but some fall on multiple days, so I need to somehow extract the next valid date the task will come due.

I've been playing with formulas until my brain got scrambled. I suspect I may not have got enough sleep over Christmas and there's something staring me in the face I'll kick myself over.

Column Headings are:
Description (Col B), [various notes C:E], M, T, W, T, F, S, S, (Cols F:L, marked with x when relevant), StartDate (M), EndDate (N) and my nemesis, NextDate.

That formula should check that 'theDate' falls within the range, if so, lookup whether the appropriate weekday is null or not, and if it's not, then the current date comes back. If it is, then I need it to find the next weekday (by that I don't mean M-F, I mean any of the 7) when it will fall and return that date. I do have the weekday number in F2 if needed, and I'm using a weekday return type of 2 (Mon=1).

'theDate' will usually be in the future, but not always. It needs to not fall over if it's past.

I'd like to do this via formula ideally, since the SOE I'm on keeps losing my Analysis Toolpak, but if I have to code, I have to code.

Fill League Table Based On Value Found Or Not
I am trying to update a league table from a different sheet. The table is not fixed on how many people with be in it as this can grow. This what I have in mind to do what I need but can work out how to implement it.

I need to loop though column "A" in sheet "U8" range A2:A?

The value in column "A" is unique so from "A2" I then take the value in "K2" for this unique id.

I now need to search column "A" in sheet "U8 League Table" for the unique ID place the value of "U8 - K2" into column "D" (Round2) row will be different in most cases to round1.

If the unique ID is not found in "U8 League Table" then add it.

The U8 sheet is populated a fresh per event (fortnightly) and the data fed (riders score will always be in column K, different row) into the League Table. However. as the rounds mount the data will need to go into next column along in the Table i.e Rd1 in C, Rd2 in D, Rd3 in E etc.

Fill In Table Based On Multiple Criteria
I would like to fill in a table based on a small database
this table then creates a graph.

But I need to look at 3 criteria before I can fill in the table
namely: customer - weeknumber - weekday

based on these items the time should be filled in accordingly.

Can this be done with regular formula or should I try VBA ?

please have a look at my file the data should go from sheet input to sheet ACL
based on the above mentioned criteria

Formula That Will Determine The Number Of Days That Fall In A Specific Month Based On A Date Range
I'm needing a formula that will determine the number of days that fall in a specific month based on a date range. For example, if I have a date range of 10/15/2009 to 01/13/2009, I need the formula to determine the number of days in each month within the range (October has 15 days in the date range; November has 30, December has 31, and January has 13.) I have a large spreadsheet that would be so much easier to manage with such a formula. Currently, my spreadsheet is setup as follows. I need the forumla automatically fill in the number of days under each month.

Stard Date End Date Oct-09 Nov-09 Jan-10 Feb-10
10/15/2009 01/13/2009

Fill Table Based On An Drop-Down Choice In 1st Column
I'm working on making a spreadsheet that allows me to select an item type from a dropdown list (through validation) and then would copy in a range of values from another worksheet based on my dropdown selection.

The set-up: I am primarily concerned with two sheets in my workbook, BiS and Weights. I have a database of items and their associated values listed in Weights. I have already managed to get dropdown lists of my specific item types using named lists and have put that in the BiS worksheet.

What I would like to do is have the values in the Weights worksheet copied over in the same order and number of cells based on what item I select from the dropdown list.

DATE Function & IF Function (return A TRUE Or FALSE Based On A Date In A Cell)
I am trying to return a TRUE or FALSE based on a date in a cell.

for example:

if cell A1 = 07/11/2009

I want A2 to show TRUE or FALSE if A1 is 14 days or more behind todays date.

I have tried stuff like:

=IF(A1=TODAY()-14,"True","False")

but it just always says false. EDIT: I have just noticed that if I change the date in A1 to exactly 14 days behind todays, it returns TRUE. So, it does work. Do I need to add a GREATER THAN in there?
