Find Last Value That Has Field Lookup Of 1?
Oct 4, 2012I want to create a formula that I can place in D1 that looks at the table below and finds the last instance of the number 1 and returns the value of 600,000.

Jun 21, 2014Take a look at the attached spreadsheet: Value_Lookup.xlsx
We have a pivot table with the "Product" on the Row context and a date ("FullDate") selected on the filter context.
The FactTable is related to the Calendar table by "FullDate" (which is marked as Date Column in Powerpivot)
In the Calendar Table, next to "FullDate" we have 2 more dates in the same row: "1 Month Back" and "1 Quarter Back".
We just need 2 calculated fields that return the "Price" value from the selected "Product" on the Calendar dates "1 Month Back" and "1 Quarter Back".

VLOOKUP Using Text Lookup Field Beginning With Zero?
Mar 13, 2014Having difficulty with a VLOOKUP that uses a text lookup field beginning with 0. For all the other numbers formatted as text I use this function:

For the one that begins with a 0 I have to use this function:

This is a problem for me, because I need to be able to copy the top function to all of my sheets without having to edit the ones where the lookup field begins with 0. I could alter my VBA to specifically search for those cases and adjust, but that seems unneccesary.
More info - The beginning column of the Table Array (i.e. the lookup field I'm searching for) is a function of another cell; both cells are formatted as text. Here is the function:

I have to put a single quote in front of the lookup field, so that "064" is not displayed as "64" even if the cell is formatted as text. I have another instance where I am looking up "'791" and it works fine with the first VLOOKUP above. Even if I remove the single quote this will work. However, once there is a leading zero the function no longer works and I must use the second VLOOKUP listed above.
Lowest/Highest Lookup Referring To Another Field
Dec 21, 2006I am looking for formulas for cells B21 and B22 that will return the value from column A corresponding to the occurence of the highest/lowest value of Index compared to cell B:19, that is, the most recent Index data.
This seems to be an excellent candidate for LOOKUP as the data in Column A are unique and sorted.
Then, we have cells B:25 and B:28. On what "Week Ending" did the Min/Max value occurred?
Bonus Question, if Excel encounters more than 1 value that satisfies the formula, what happens?

I want to have known Latitude and Longitude data that will exist in columns A&B. Columns C & D will have address numbers and Street Name. I would like my lookup formula to find the longitude and latitude data from my "lookup" sheet, when the matching address information is typed in, in my 2009 sheet. I have to keep the street numerics and street name separate on this worksheet as well. I believe I'll need two separate lookup formulas as I need these formulas to start in cell G4 & H4 in my "GeoCoding1" sheet. Not everyone has a uniform title, so I'm using FIND to look at the title and find particular search strings. Basically it's this, over and over again:

Where the title is obviously in A1. I can easily assemble a VLOOKUP table, but I don't know how to combine this with the ISNUMBER(FIND aspect of this.
LOOKUP To Find Value That Is Not Zero
Mar 17, 2009I have a formula in a worksheet that lists equipment in inventory. It looks at another worksheet of service work orders and verifies that, if work was done on a particular unit, do a look up and post the latest meter reading recorded on a work order for that unit.
My formula works fine unless the latest work order doesn't have a meter reading posted yet, so it returns a zero - overwriting any previous meter reading that was stored there.

Apr 2, 2009I have a distance grid with place names down column A and along Row 1 with distances in the middle. I then have a place name in cell A1 on sheet2 and a distance in cell B1 on sheet2. Ideally I want cell C1 on sheet2 to lookup the place in cell A1 on Row1 of the grid on sheet1 and then find the distance in B2 in that column before displaying the correspoding value from Column A on sheet2. I've tried various Match and Index functions with no success.

Need to do a formula approach (No Pivot Table) lookup on a dynamic table that is not necessarily in order and may have blanks in some cells or whole rows. What I would like Excel 2003 to do is report (extract) the all first occurrences of each organization number that has at least one person with a "Yes" in a corresponding column in the same row. I also need the number of persons that have "Yeses" in each of those identified Org Nos .
Data is laid out as such:

I have a helper column that counts the number of unique org nos, but cannot tie that to those that have Yes in the other column.

Is there a way the member typing in wb2 - wb12 able to change the Tab name one each sheet? Since the formulas i use use the tab name on the sheets for referencing. I'm hoping to do the example with out any user input.

Jan 20, 2004Columns F looks at another table within the same worksheet for the Customer Code that has the MOST Orders in Column B.....then places the Tot Orders amount in F2..... Cust Codes in Column E and the Cum Values into Col G ( that's already been accumulated and housed in column C ).
Cell F3 then go looks up the next largest order in Column B and pulls over the adjacent Customer Code & Cum Value to the E,F,G table again.
Basically there's 3 functions:
1 in E2
1 in F2
1 in G2
All to copy downward within that table
