I'm trying to use the find function to make my macros easier to handle, but I don't know how to run through all instances of what I'm trying to find and then stop. Currently I just have my find function in an infinite loop and it stops when it runs into an error. This works well I guess, but I'd like to know how to stop after the last instance without error. My problem is i need to add a "do until" so that i will stop. I just don't know what code to add after the "until" to have it search the sheet once and then stop. Right now it will repeat infinitly. When I remove "Release date:" from "Release date:24 December 2008," excel will automatically change the text to "24-Dec-08." Yes, I did try to format the column to "text" before using find and replace.
This wouldn't be a problem, except that half the dates are in Dutch, so only half the dates are changed, which means that I can't make all date formats in a column uniform.
I have this sheet full of random data and I want to recalculate extra fast so I keep my finger on F9 which causes the random data to randomize really fast of course. Now, in B1:AT1 I have numbers that change with every recalculation but here is the problem. I want the recalculation to stop when excel identifies a zero in that range which doesn't happen often.

I have to draw this onto a series like 2101200 then 2101201 then 2010202 etc.
but some time these numbers are in qty 30000 or more. I have questions
1- If any macro colud fill series suppose if write number in A2 and qty in B2 so it reads the qty of b2 and fill the series in A. If i write 1 in A2 and write 50 in B2 so the series should be auto fill 1 to 50.
My Second question is opposit of my above question.
2- if i have different number series in column a and i want them to be as start number in column b and end number in column c and qty in column d based like mentioned below example.

I use hex2dec frequently and input with a hex 'E' such as 05e8 is misinterpreted as exponential notation. I can use =hex2dec("05e8") to get the correct value, but when the hex number is in another cell, I get the exponent assumption/ conversion (to 5 x 10e8), or a # NUM error if it is in quotes. This seems like a blatant problem but I've found no mention of it in searches or FAQs.

Is there any way to have a user input to stop the whole simulation. During the first tries I had a lot of break point in my debugger. Items in Column A1 are calculated by (B2/4+5)*1.4 Items located under the columns 2000, 3000, 4000, etc... 10,000 are calculated by taking the top number, eg 2000/(A1 cell value)+the column B number. 2000/7+0 = 286 (rounded numbers)
I need to find an way to look up for x number (2000,3000,4000, etc...) find the smallest number in that column and then return the value in column A1.

I work for a store and we're migrating to a new Point of Sale system. The new POS uses the entire UPC code while our existing one uses only partial UPCs, so I have to update from the partial to the full. ex. Partial 3378093 - Full 0033780935
The partial UPC will always be included in the full UPC, the difference is the dropped leading zeros (and possibly other numbers) and the check digit number at the end. What I have is a spreadsheet with with two worksheets (Old, New) - one has our old UPCs and other information, the other has the new, full UPCs and more information we'll need. What I want to do is write a function that will search through the full list of new UPCs to find the one with the old UPC inside it and return the full UPC. InStr seems the right function to do this - correct?
The part I'm having trouble with is writing something that will search through the full column of new UPCs using InStr. I've searched through the forum for a similar situation but the few I've found aren't working or appropriate. I don't want to include any code I've written because 1) it doesn't work and 2) it would be way too embarassing!

I receive a workbook from multiple vendors on a weekly basis. Part of the data in the workbook is their production schedule for each part. I need to pull the quantity out of the cell containing their production schedule, but the problem is each vendor enters thier data differently, (as seen in the attached sample workbook).
I know I could request that each vendor comply to a new format I could send out, in which date and quantity are in seperate columns, but this format has been in use for a long time, and most of them have automated the output, so I thought I'd try to fix it on my end first.
