Find Numbers Next To Specific Text Characters In A Cell

I'm faced with receiving data for time, in a text format, as follows:
Example of possible cell contents...
20secs
40m20secs
2h40m20secs
I'm not interested in the secs value but need to isolate the h (hours) and m (mins) values to use in another formula as numbers. The time could be shown in either of the above formats with either; (a) just secs, (b) mins & secs or (c) hrs, mins & secs... and of course the hours or mins values could be 1 or 2 digits in length. How can I determine (using formula only, not vba) what the values for hours and/or mins are dependent upon what is present?

I'm trying to find vehicle make and model in a cell containing a lot of text and then display that in the formula cell. For example if A1 is a paragraph that contains somewhere within it "Ford" & "Ranger". I want B1 to display "Ford" and C1 to display "Ranger". I have a list of vehicles makes (column A) and models (column B) on a seperate sheet.

I've scoured the internet for this answer and have not found a formula that works.
I have a list of domain names/URLs in column A of workbook 1:
jhjh.com
hajfh.co.nz
123.123.12.12
I have a list of domain name extensions in workbook #2:
.com
.co.nz
.net
I want to determine if the cells in column A workbook one contain any of the strings in workbook 2 - note that I need to look at the string, not the entire cell in workbook one. If there is a match, true, if not, false for that cell within workbook one.
It's sort of a reverse array lookup with text. It seems that cross workbook and text is what causes the challenge.

Could you tell me how I can find a specific sentence within a cell that contains many sentences.
for example
I want to find, "I am new." within a text that contains, "Hello I am Bob. I am new. I live in england."
I am currently using =+FIND(AB$1,$V2) where AB1 contains the sentence I am looking for and V2 contains the cell full of sentences. However this returns #VALUE! when the sentence is not found. I want it to return null.

I have a client list in a table in my excel sheet. I currently enter the clients in a sheet that looks similar to a form. After the clients info is in this Form I have a button with a macro to copy the client info into a table on another sheet. This works perfectly.
Now I have another form that will retrieve the customers info in a click of a button in order to make changes to the client. Ei:I now have a second phone number and I want to update that client's info. What I want to do from here is take the info in Cell B2 (clients full Name), Do a vLookup in the "Saved Clients Table" in a Range within my table range. (Range: Saved Clients and the client's full name is in $A:$A and called "Clients Full Name" and once that name is found I need to select the cell in column C and the corresponding row.
This will allow me to copy the info in my form, Paste it in Transpose to the cell that is selected. (I already have that code)

I have a very large file of data, over 500,000 rows, opening in one sheet in Excel is not an option with my current version. In each row I need to change the characters in positions 41-44 from whatever they current are, to '9999'. I'm sure there has to be a way I can do this using vba, does anyone have a sample snippet of code, or another post they can point me too?

How I can change this formula to find the first 3 characters of a text string?
Instead of using numbers in column A, it will be Names, I need the user to enter only the first 3 characters of the name and then display the results, (Meaning that all others irrelaavnt rows will be hidden.

Is there a way to make a macro convert '1' to Yes and '0' to No? I have 2 columns (F and G) in a worksheet that contain the value of 1 or 0, but I need to convert them to Yes or No. I have tried some fo the samples but they pop up a msgbox which is not required.

I need to make a macro that will find text between "o/" and "/", remove hyphens from the text it found, and then add it to the end of the current cell contents.
I know how to add to the end of current cell contents, but cannot figure out how to grab text between certain characters or replace hyphens and replace with spaces.

I have a spreadsheet with a stock list. Each item has an individual number. I have a code below, which I have doctored from other various sources. The problem I have is that if I search for number '12' the spreadsheet highlights every cell with 12 in (120 121 122 123 etc...) Is there any way I can change the code so that it returns only the 12 and not every cell that contains 12? The current code is as follows:

The problem - I'm trying to find a formula that will find text between 2 characters with unlimited instances in a single string and combine the found text to a single string. The character enclosing the text i'm after will likely be a % symbol. This formula would then be replicated down 5000-10000 rows.
eg. 1 - This is %an% example %sentence% to show what I %am% looking for
eg. 2 - This %is another% example of what I %need%
eg. 1 answer - ansentenceam
eg. 2 answer - is anotherneed
Ideally this would not use a macro as it will be applied to an ever expanding data set but I realize that may not be possible.

I have cell A1 and it has the following data "-110 or -99%".
I want a formula that will pick up the percentage numbers only, IE -99%. Please keep in mind that the percentages change.
It can be 10000%, 0%, -500000% etc.
Can there be a formula that will pick up whatever is before or from the right?

I need to ensure that the client names entered don't contain certain banned characters (* / : ? [ ]) as the name entered will be used later to create a file name. This is what I have written (in the Worksheet_Change event):

Which is all very well, but it treats character 42 (*) and character 63 (?) as wildcards and even good client names are rejected. How do I search the entry to find if there is an actual * or ? in the target.value?

I have a worksheet with several columns. I need a formula to search column D only and each time a specific location is identified to replace that location with alternate text. Example (ORIGNAL TEXT):
Column Dtext to text help.xlsx
BIRD
FISH
DOG
BAT
BUG
I need to search that listing and each time the word BIRD is mentioned have it replaced with FEATHERS and each time DOG is listed have it replaced with TAILS Final result would look like:
FEATHERS
FISH
TAILS
BAT
BUG
All other text should stay the same and replacement text should appear in the cell of the text it is replacing. This is a sheet used by multiple people several times a day and so the Find/Replace option really won't work.
Have working on this for at least 6 months and it just isn't going to happen for me. I thought I could use a Conditional format, but that is producing no results either.

i use this code to get the value from the cell that contains "Ink"., and i got the codes from reading other problems:
=IF(SEARCH("Ink",a1),LOOKUP(99^99,--("0"&MID(a1,MIN(SEARCH({0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9},a1&"0123456789")),ROW($1:$10000)))),"")+0
like this in a1 -> Ink 253.00
and totally working! but the problem is if the word "ink" in the left of the value --> 253.00 ink and the result is #NA, is there any way that i can get the value whether the word Ink is in the left side or right side of the value?
also bothered why is it if the word is not "ink" in the cell and return -> #value since i put ("") in the last part of If function(value if false)?

The background to my problem is that I'm trying to create a unique dictionary for a game I'm programming. I have imported the dictionary into Excel and need to manipulate it with the following conditions:
Word length can only be 3-5 characters longWord cannot contain special characters like hyphen or apostropheWord cannot have repeated characters
I got the first two criteria done using pretty brute for methods. The first using the LEN function to find words greater than 2 and those less than 6 and then comparing those two lists to get the list of 3-5 character words. The second I did manual search for characters and replaced them with six random characters so they would fail criteria 1 and be filtered out.
The last one I'm having problems figuring out. The game I'm programming only lets you use a letter once. So words like "dad" (or coincidentally enough "mom") would not be valid.
Is there a way I can look at the words in the cell and see if any character is repeated and then act upon that (e.g., copy to another column if no letters are repeated)?

I need help with a formula (no VBA) that will find all the semi-colons ";" and pound signs "#" in a cell and replace them with this "<br> - ".
Example of Cell A1: ;#Red;#Green;#Blue;#
I started with this:
=REPLACE(MultChoice,SEARCH(";#",MultChoice),1,"<br> - ")
but it only replaces the first character.

I need to make sure the cell is 4 digits long
I need to make sure the cell starts with a zero (Because the cell starts with a zero I have it as a text cell)

Currently I am using the Kickbutt VBA Find Function of Aaron, but I would like to have something that works more efficiently. What I currently do is (assuming all possible values for Column J are A - F):

I have a table that contains various aspects of information about customer cases, and I want to replicate a user 'picking up' the case by a simple press of a button.
Users have access to only one Country, so I want to be able to search a particular column for the lowest value, but check that the Country for that row matches the user's access. If it doesn't, I then want to find the next lowest value in the column, and this is what's perplexing me??? As mentioned, I want to click a button to trigger this, and therefore want to use VBA code.

I use this line of code to determine the text
Set rFound = Sheets("ProductCount").Rows(14). Find(What:=sProduct, LookIn:=xlValues, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlNext)
ProdRow = rFound.Column
where sProduct contains values such as SW , CO. Now, when I use rFound to query SW, it finde me this first occuring SW. I have this inside a for loop. When it goes and queries again, it should get me the next occuring SW, not the first SW that it searched for me.

I would like to ask if there's a way to generate a random 4 characters in one cell and the specific random 4 characters that has been generated will be copied until the last cell of my preferred choice?
The format that I want is that:
yymmdd / random 4 characters that has been generated / 4 numbers that will increment sequentially
For example:
in A1: 140330QWER0001
in A2: 140330QWER0002
in A3: 140330QWER0003
.
.
.
.
.
But here's the catch, the file that I am using when closed then opened again will generate another random 4 characters with the same format. If i opened this file tomorrow:
for example the date for tomorrow is March 31, 2014, the file will do:
in A1: 140331TYUI0001
in A2: 140331TYUI0002
in A3: 140331TYUI0003
.
.
.
.
.
I tried to record it, the Rand() function when copied will generate another 4 characters.
