Hide ComboBox On Cell Reference

I have a combobox that I want visible only if a certain cell has a specific value. Otherwise it remains hidden.

This is a Control Tool ComboBox as I'm sure that will make a difference.

Userform Combobox And Cell Reference

I've have a combobox on a userform which should refer to a cell on a worksheet directly. E.g. The dropdown list that feeds to box is on Sheet2 range C1:C6
Whatever is selected should be copied to Sheet1 cell B18.

Now, if I populate cell B18 manually, it will pick it up, but if I then change the combobox selection, cell B18 either doesn't change or goes blank.?

Conditionally Show / Hide Combobox Based On Cell Value

I'm quite new to VBA, but I am attempting to get a Forms ComboBox to appear or disappear based on whether a certain cell (P7) reads YES or NO. P7 in turn updates in turn based on a user-selected value. As of now, the ComboBox only appears or disppears if I go back in and out of the formula I entered into P7. Basically, I want my ComboBox to dynamically update based on the value in P7. That may sound a little muddled, so here is my code for the ComboBox:

ActiveX Combobox - Linked Cell Reference Lost After Save / Close And Re-open Workbook

Using the developer tab I inserted an Active X combo box. Under properties I referenced a 'linked cell' that I want the data to appear in. This box works great as long as I keep the sheet open. Once I save and close the workbook and re-open, that reference is lost. It shows #REF! in that field. Why does it lose the reference? I have tried to reference a cell on the same sheet as well as a cell in a different sheet and it keeps the sheet name but not the individual cell.

VBA Hide Rows Based On 4 Different Values With Combobox

I have a vba to hide certain rows based on 4 values (either 15, 20, 25, 30) are the choices in the 'ComboBox' drop down list. I also have the rows grouped so i need to make sure to collapse those back each time. Here is the vba i'm using, but its not quite right for some reason.

I know there are a lot of hide row threads... i've searched for ages... but (unfortunately) i can't a solution that addresses my problem and I'm stuck. Please help!

I have a data between rows 10 and 1310 and I would like to use a combo box option to select and view certain rows of data only. I don't want to use auto filter because i have a separate macro using an auto filter on the same data - they won't play together.

So in short - combo box will contain values from column A. When value is selected from combo box hide all non matching rows based on column A values.

So i have added a combo box to sheet1 and populated it with the following workbook code...

It works if I step through it (F8) but the ComboBox doesn't work. It's named ComboBox1, and in the properties the ListFillRange shows all of the names in the list in the ComboBox correctly.

i have a combobox and have A, B, C, as options in the combobox

then I have a table from row 10 to row 50

if A is selected from the combobox, I want excel to show only rows 10 to 20 and hide rows 20 to 50

if b is selected from the combobox, I want excel to show only rows 20 to 30 and hide rows 10 to 20 & 30 to 40

if c is selected from the combobox, I want excel to show only rows 30 to 40 and hide rows 10 to 30 & 40 to 50

in other words, i want all rows 10 to 50 hidden at all times, until a selection A, B, C is made in which i want thoes related rows to be shows and all other rows between rows 10 to 50 hidden.

Macro To Unhide / Hide Sheets With Combobox Selection

I have a workbook that contains approx 50 sheets and will grow to somewhere in the region of 200.

The majority of sheets, which contain the raw data referenced by the renaining sheets, are hidden. I will occasionally need to update the data in some of those hidden sheets and would like an easy / quick way of unhiding them.

The front page has several comboboxes which select the page needed for the calculation being performed, eg I select Chapter2 in the first combobox, section 4 in the second and page 12 in the 3rd. The output is combined / abbreviated into into a cell eg Ch2-Sec4-P12. That being the name of a sheet I then use INDIRECTs to retrieve the data I want and place it in a spare sheet, that works well.

I'd like to do the same to select the sheet to unhide. I can setup the comboboxes to give the name of the sheet I want to unhide / hide in a cell but then I'm stuck;

How can I use the contents of a cell in place of the sheet name in a macro command such as Sheets("data").Visible = Not (Sheets("data").Visible) ?

I have two questions.

1). I have dates listed in excel (01/01/2006 to 12/31/2006) say from range B12:B376.

How do I get these values to a ComboBox.

2). If the above is possible and if I select a value in ComboBox say 08/07/2006, it should get updated in a particular cell say A1

So selection of 08/07/2006 in ComboBox, should reflect 08/07/2006 in cell A1.

Note: This ComboBox is on the UserForm and not on the Excel Sheet.

Excel 2010 :: Hide / Show Textboxes And Labels Based On Combobox Selection?

I have created a UserForm that has a ComboBox and depending on the number selected I want it to show that number of Labels/TextBoxes...

So if I select "0" nothing is shown, if I select "1" one set of Labels/TextBoxes is shown, select "2" and two sets of Labels/TextBoxes are shown... but also if I have selected "2" and then select "1" I want the second set to be hidden again...


Also I know I should have renamed the Label/TexBoxes to make it easer but I was adding things and making it up as I went along...

I'm using Excel 2010 on windows 7.

How do I change a formula cell reference based on another cell's reference? I'm building a schedule that looks to a task's trigger and adds days based on that relationship. All entries in column "A" will be text and all cells in "B" will be the simple formula "=A2" or "=A3". Due date is calculated by adding the value in "C" to the preceding date in column "D". In the spreadsheet below, the trigger for "Budget set" is "Specs written" with 3 days added to the previous due date.

I have lets say 12 months of data. I have formulas that reference the latest 6 months. When I insert a new column to input a new month, how can I make the formulas include the new months without manually updating them.

EXAMPLE:

12 months of data exist in cells B3:M3 going from B3(oldest) to M3(newest). Formulas reference latest 6 months of data in cells H3:M3. When a new month hits, I insert a column after column M.I would like the formulas to now reference cells I3:N3 which is now the newest 6 months.

I have a workbook with 1000+ worksheets, all of which have 3-letter names. On a master sheet, I would like to make a query of how many non-empty cells there are on a subsidiary worksheet. This works:

What I'd like to do from time to time is input in column A a varying set of 3-letter worksheet names, say

AAB
ABC
CDE

And have a formula in column B that converts this to

=COUNTA(AAB!A:A)
=COUNTA(ABC!A:A)
=COUNTA(CDE!A:A)

I've learned that simply substituting the cell references A1, A2, A3 for AAB, ABC and CDE doesn't work. What do I need to do to achieve this?

Let's say I've ended up with the number 8 in Cell D4 for example. Is there a formula that can return the letter "G" (The 8th Column) so I can use it in future cell references ? If so, let's say we store that in Cell B5. How do I now refer to a cell in a chosen Row of that same Column by reference to Cell B5 ? For example if I want to refer to Cell G33 can you refer to this Cell in some form like Cell(Contents of Cell B5;33) ??? Don't want to use R1C1 type references if possible.

I have 5 columns set up: A,B,C,D,E
D is the sum of A and B
E is the sum of A,B,and C

As I add in a new column to the right of C (call it C2), I need D (which has shifted over one) to sum A,B, and C.

I also need E (which has also shifted over one) to sum A,B,C, and C2.

Essentially I need a function in a cell that will be able to reference two cells to the left even as more cells are added.

Am trying to get dynamic population of 2nd combobox based on match from criteria in combobox 1.

if column a = bears and column b = colours of bears then

when I select bears in combobox one, combobox 2 would populate with colors of bear.

I am think of having a combobox 1 change event that evaluates each row in a specific range (does it match the criteria?) if so, then add 2nd cell (column b) of that row to the combobox 2.

I know it would probably involve match and offset, add item and loop, but I am not sure what the syntax is.

I need to populate two combo boxes from excel sheet, the data will be like below:

Column A Column B
A 1
A 2
A 3
A 4
A 5
B 100
B 101
B 102

So from the above data, one combo box should hold unique values A & B.

On selecting a value from the 1st combo box A or B, respective values should be populated in 2nd combo box.

So the data should be like below:

If A is selected in the 1st combo box, then 2nd combo box should only show the values 1,2,3,4 & 5.
If B is selected in the 1st combo box, then 2nd combo box should only show the values 100,101 & 102.

Friends I need it in a macro and one important point is, this is dynamic and it is not static and the data can be more.
