Excel 2010 :: Hide / Show Textboxes And Labels Based On Combobox Selection?

I have created a UserForm that has a ComboBox and depending on the number selected I want it to show that number of Labels/TextBoxes...
So if I select "0" nothing is shown, if I select "1" one set of Labels/TextBoxes is shown, select "2" and two sets of Labels/TextBoxes are shown... but also if I have selected "2" and then select "1" I want the second set to be hidden again...
Also I know I should have renamed the Label/TexBoxes to make it easer but I was adding things and making it up as I went along...
I'm using Excel 2010 on windows 7.

I have a question on how I could populate data using a combo box selection in Excel 2010.
For example, I have a table with values in Sheet 1, & below that table there is a combo box whereby another table of values can be populated based on the selection of the combo box.
Maybe to make it clearer...
Table 1

Andy | Avenue 2 | 999

Combo box (selection of names): John
Data derived from combo box - Table 2

how I could solve this Also, do let me know if this can be done without the use of VBA.

I know there are a lot of hide row threads... i've searched for ages... but (unfortunately) i can't a solution that addresses my problem and I'm stuck. Please help!
I have a data between rows 10 and 1310 and I would like to use a combo box option to select and view certain rows of data only. I don't want to use auto filter because i have a separate macro using an auto filter on the same data - they won't play together.
So in short - combo box will contain values from column A. When value is selected from combo box hide all non matching rows based on column A values.
So i have added a combo box to sheet1 and populated it with the following workbook code...

I'm quite new to VBA, but I am attempting to get a Forms ComboBox to appear or disappear based on whether a certain cell (P7) reads YES or NO. P7 in turn updates in turn based on a user-selected value. As of now, the ComboBox only appears or disppears if I go back in and out of the formula I entered into P7. Basically, I want my ComboBox to dynamically update based on the value in P7. That may sound a little muddled, so here is my code for the ComboBox:

I need to link the textboxes of a form to the appropriate cells associated to the selection made by a combobox. And in the process I need to be able to Edit one of those Textboxes on the fly while the rest will be locked to the user.
Not sure if the editing of the Notes section can be real time of if it must be updated through a button.

My data resides in a workbook in sheet2 and sheet3. I have 4 comboboxs refering to different columns in sheet2 and sheet3. Basically when the user selects all the four comboboxs, the criteria should be satisfied and the results in terms of rows matching those values should be shown in the textboxs below.
Each three of the textboxs refers to individual columns in sheet2 and sheet3. All I want to do is simple search criteria on both sheet 2 and sheet3 and put the results in textboxs.
I have populated my comboboxs but dont know the macro to do the search results .
my userform,which has 4 comboboxs
combobox1 = sheet2 column C
combobox2 = sheet2 column BL
combobox3 = sheet3 column K
combobox1 = sheet3 column F
The results which satisfy the above 4 criteria should come from ,when user presses POP UP DETAILS BUTTON,
textbox1= sheet3 column C
textbox2= sheet3 column N
textbox3= sheet2 column T
Actually I have many records which satisfy the above 4 criteria, dont know how to display them whether in textbox or any another method.

Basically I have a big table containing several columns for the different quarters. (Each quarter has several columns which are not all next to each other)
I would like to use 4 checkboxes which the user can select the show or hide the columns for that quarter. E.g. if Q1 and Q3 are checked only those are visible)
(if quarter 1 clicked than all columns are visible if unclicked hidden).
The code I have written workes well for the first checkbox (Q1), but for the other quarters (Q2, Q3 and Q4) the columns get hidden when checked (which should be the other way round) and don't get unhidden when unchecked.

I'm trying to do some userform development with multiple dependent comboboxes, but I am having trouble populating the third and last combobox. First, I populate the 1st combobox on the userform initialization. I can get the first 2 comboboxes to populate correctly, but I can't seem to get the 3rd combobox to populate correctly.
The 3rd combobox takes the selection from the 2nd combobox and searches column "A" in the worksheet "Chassis Specs" and populates the 3rd combobox with data from column "B", there will be repeat items in column "A", but all those occurances should populate the 3rd combobox with the data from "B".

I want to select a customer name from a ComboBox in a UserForm and populate a TextBox with additional customer information for the end user. The additional customer information is always located in C3 in sheet2 (the result of a formula). However, the text box only refreshes when I click into it. Is it possible to have it refresh without clicking into the userform textbox)? I’ve tried _Change and _Afterupdate. I'm sure this must be easy for anyone but a novice like myself. Sample attached (play marco...button dead?).

I have three textboxes (16,17,18) that need to be disabled if a certain value ("Regular Hours") is in combobox1. Would I use an If statement? Also, is there a way to "gray out" the textboxes to show they are disabled?

I have a workbook that contains approx 50 sheets and will grow to somewhere in the region of 200.
The majority of sheets, which contain the raw data referenced by the renaining sheets, are hidden. I will occasionally need to update the data in some of those hidden sheets and would like an easy / quick way of unhiding them.
The front page has several comboboxes which select the page needed for the calculation being performed, eg I select Chapter2 in the first combobox, section 4 in the second and page 12 in the 3rd. The output is combined / abbreviated into into a cell eg Ch2-Sec4-P12. That being the name of a sheet I then use INDIRECTs to retrieve the data I want and place it in a spare sheet, that works well.
I'd like to do the same to select the sheet to unhide. I can setup the comboboxes to give the name of the sheet I want to unhide / hide in a cell but then I'm stuck;
How can I use the contents of a cell in place of the sheet name in a macro command such as Sheets("data").Visible = Not (Sheets("data").Visible) ?

It works if I step through it (F8) but the ComboBox doesn't work. It's named ComboBox1, and in the properties the ListFillRange shows all of the names in the list in the ComboBox correctly.

I have a table, headers "FirstName" and "SurName".
Further a Userform with 2 Comboboxes "FirstName" and "SurName"
I'd like to choose the FirstName (say Jack) in the "FirstName" combobox, and based on that get the choice of the Surnames of all my Jacks in the "SurName" combobox.
Actually my sheet has much more fields and comboboxes, but i think my problem is just that I do not find a way to populate them dynamically.

I have a worksheet that is just a list of items with a location listed next to each item. I took that list and made it into a pivot table and would like it to have it list the items with each location it is in displayed across. I have already set it to tabular form in the pivot table options, but if there are multiple locations it lists them vertically and I want them list horizontally for printing purposes. I have attached a screen shot to explain.

when i choose material from my combobox Options (cboTM), i wanted, only the textboxes regarding to the sheet material unlocked, and the others locked with the color of the form, and the same for the other options like worklabor and equipments. i could blocked for material with this code :

I have a chart with 20 series labels that are series 1, series 2.... etc. I want to label them with 20 corresponding cells but can't find how to do this in Excel 2010 (I seem to remember this being easy to do in older versions). At the moment I am having to click on source data and edit each label individually... Is there a quicker way?

I produced several charts in Excel 2007. They display just fine when using Excel 2007, but when we try to open it in our office computers (which uses Excel 2010), the Axis and Legend Labels simply vanish.I know there's these fixes for Excel 2007, deleting a buggy MS hotfix or installing the KB2597962 fix. But the problem is, I need it to display in our Excel 2010 computers.

I'm using Excel 2010 and I've got a chart on a worksheet and the worksheet needs to be protected. I'm able to manipulate the chart in any fashion EXCEPT the position of the Data Labels. Is this a bug in Excel 2010?

I recently switched to Excel 2010 and have a rather peculiar problem.Every week I update a bunch of charts in different workbooks. By update, I pretty much mean just shifting the range over one column or down one row to incorporate newly added data.
So I right click the chart, select "Select Data", update all the Data series ranges and then I click on the Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels button "Edit" to update the Axis label range.
I do all that then press OK. The data series have updated, but the axis labels haven't. So then I do the procedure again for the Axis Labels, hit OK again and voila: It worked.
But I ALWAYS have to do this procedure twice. It will NEVER update the axis labels the first time around. Even though the little preview window below the edit button show the labels correctly.

I am having a problem formatting a chart in Excel 2010. My chart has multi-level category axis labels, and I would like to have a vertical grid line separating each major group of categories. In Excel 2003, I could right-click on one of the gridlines and then specify the spacing I wanted between gridlines. In Excel 2010, as soon as I indicate that I want multi-level category axis labels, I get a vertical gridline between each category and I am unable to alter the spacing. If I deselect the multi-level axis label option, I can adjust the spacing between the vertical gridlines, but the axis multi-level label functionality is lost. Is there a way to fix this problem without having to resort to using the drawing tools or text boxes to achieve the desired results.

I have a problem involving two combo boxes in a user form.
I need to populate different “lists” to combo 2, based on a selection in combo 1.
I browsed through the forum but could not find any solution that made sense to me.
Here are the specifics:
Combo 1 (called Cbo_Act) is populated with a list based on a named range in one of the sheets. The range is named “activity” and holds 2 records (“Income” & “Expense”).
This list is loaded as part of the form initialization.
If the user select “Income”, I need combo 2 (called Cbo_Act_Type) to show a list of various income types (derived from a dynamic named range called “Income_type”) and if the user selects “Expense”, I need the same combo box (Cbo_Act_Type) to show a different list, specifically – a list of various expense types (derived from a dynamic named range called “Expense_type”).
I know that this should be with a Cbo_Act_Change () routine, but for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to do it.

I would like to make a userform where additional textboxes (and labels) can be added to the form by clicking a command button. Is this possible to do?
For example, a userform which has:
Contractor 1: (TextBox)
and underneath this have a command button which when clicked will add another text box e.g.
Contractor 2: (TextBox)

I need to populate a textbox based off 2 combobox selections. My first combobox selects the worksheet. "08BOG, 09BOG, 10BOG...15BOG" My second combobox lists majors based off of the worksheet selected in combobox 1. I need my textbox to populate the value 18 rows over the selected worksheet and the selected row.
Currently I have something like this:

But obviously this is all wrong because it is only referencing one sheet instead of the selected sheet in the combobox.

My table contains 26 columns, I have Column E header as 'Assignee' and Column J for 'Date_Closed'.
I have a form containing a combobox and a listbox. The combobox is populated with 10 Assignee Names.
I want the listbox to be populated with all rows containing the selected Name ONLY if Date_Closed column (J) is blank/null.ie.date not filled yet.
For example, if i select "Ann", the listbox will show all rows in the table that have Assignee Ann for and closed date is still blank.

What I'd like to do is fill specific cells with specific information drawn from other pages based on a combo box selection.
For example, if I were to pick 10131 in the combo box, I'd like it to fill out cells X, Y and Z with information from the three cells to the right of 10131. Assume X, Y and Z are not touching.
