Hide Excel But Set Form Active To Taskbar?

I recon, IF Excel is hidden than Windows doesnt see it with ALT Tabs as program and doesnt put it as program in the taskbar.
Is it possible to set a form active as a program? While hide Excel?

I would like to hide/Unhide last active four columns by clicking a command button.
Example:
Columns a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k,l,m,n,o,p,q,r,s,t,u,v,w,x,y,z
When ever i click on command button for the first time, last four columns should be hidden, (w,x,y,z)
On next click, columns (s,t,u,v) should be hidden.
I want similar functionality to unhide the columns with different command button.

When I open more than one Excel file, it used to display them as separate icons on my task bar. But for some reason, now I only get one one icon, and I have to go to Windows on the Menu Bar to switch between them. I can't use Alt/Tab anymore. It only affects Excel.

In Excel 2003 multiple Excel workbooks were separate tabs in the Task Bar.
Very easy to tab between open workbooks, with the keyboard -OR- minimum mouse travel to select an alternative tab/workbook.
In Excel 2010 there is only one tab for "Excel", and the only way I can find to toggle between workbooks is the "File" ribbon tab and the oceanic flourishes of "lists" and mouse travel and clicks ... to activate another open workbook. And guessing at file names because the left hand strip, "Recent Files", is way to narrow for even a modest file name.
Is there a setting/shortcut-keys that makes tabbing between workbooks more 21st century "time" efficient ?

I'm working on an Excel workbook that is opened by a batch file, updates information, copy and pastes that information to PowerPoint, and closes itself after spending two minutes idle. This is all for an employee communication monitor that runs 24/7. However, I don't like that the Excel spreadsheet displays on the monitors for two minutes every time it opens and runs.
Right now I was using the bit of code below to minimize the workbook when it was done copying and pasting the information. It works fine for the monitors, but the application is not visible in the Taskbar.

Application.Visible = False

Is there anyway to minimize the workbook while keeping the window visible in the taskbar?

I'm using a series of user forms for data entry to a workbook, some of them open next stage user form on completion (OK cmd button).
All that is working fine, but I'd like the initial form to close on showing the next one. I've tried adding Unload and Hide commands following the frmInsertEntry.Show (Next stage form), to no avail, but I'd like this user form to close or hide at the end of the sub.

Excel will hang up as if it's gone into a continuous loop (Although no looping macros are active) when you open or close a user form. The task bar in Excel will flash Ready Calculate. Visual basic reports no code is running but excel either crashes or becomes very unresponsive. I have to exit and reopen excel in order to fix the problem . It also doesn't happen at any one specific point it can vary. I have various VLOOKUPs around the workbook and userforms display the correct information. I use the INDEX formula in the control source of textboxes. I also use the offset formula to make sure DTPICKER displays correctly.
I am using 'Option Explicit' at the start of all my code. I have tried a 3rd party code cleaner. No visual Basic references are MISSING

I got a couple of userform and want to make sure all form are closed before opening the next one.
I'm trying to pass the active user form as a parameter to a subroutine that will ensure the form is close before opening the main menu, but I'm doing something wrong.

I have a userform, when using the form it has focus, once I click on my "Ok" command button I want to return focus to the workbook while I leave the userform open. I already have the userform open and on top of the workbook.

I have a Excel database and a userform to look-up reocrds. I want to be able to connect a Data Sheet which is a PDF file to every product in the daatbase.
I have created an additional column and created hypelinks in front of each product. these hyperlinks are connected to the datasheet of that product which is saved on the drive.
I have created a field on the userform to display the respective hyperlink when a record is searched by user.
My problem is that the user form displays the hyperlink name, but its dead.
I want users to be able to click on the hyperlink to view the attached Datasheet. I have tried using Textbox and labels to display this hyperlink,

With first code user selects a sheet from drop down and that sheet is activated. (This works fine)
Now hide all other sheets is what I'm trying to do with the second code. (This IS NOT working)
I assume I can either put the second code in the change event code or call it from the change event code once it works.

I am trying to add something to a spreadsheet. I want to do some Conditional Formatting but I am not certain on what the formula would be to accomplish it. I am putting the Cond Format in cell E5 and I need a formula to say: IF F5 AND G5 are BLANK then do the format I set up which is simply to fill the cell with RED. (.ColorIndex = 3)
The next portion of my problem is I need to revise my VBA Coding to check and make sure that there is not any cells in Column E that have the Formatting Active. This is the portion of code I need to alter. I have changed the wording of the message but am not sure on how to change the IF statement:

I have on Sheet1 a table with a list of values in column A, and their corresponding picture in column B. On Sheet2 I have used the define name option to set up an index,match against the original table so that the relevant picture shows whenever someone selects one of the values in column A.
The problem is, while the pictures will change when the values are changed, because all of the pictures are "named", they will continue to show if a value not in the lookup table is selected.
Is there a piece of code that would allow me to specify if cell=blank,hide picture if not show picture?
I have seen the attached code, however this either shows or hides ALL the pictures on the active sheet, while I want to show or hide the picture in the active cell only.

Continuing with a large Macro I am trying to peice together, I have reached a hurdle where I need to hide all columns to the left of the ActiveCell (which varies week to week) back to column B.
I have the following code which selects the correct number of cells to the left of the active cell but doesn't highlight the whole columns - just 3 cells for each column (very odd)
ActiveCell.Offset(0, -1).Range("A1").Select
Range(Selection, "B" & Selection.Column).Select
I'm sure it must be something to do with the
Selection.Column
part as when I write
Selection.Row
it just does 1 cell for each column (as to be expected)
I should mention I already have the coding to hide the columns, just need a way to highlight the relevant ones.

I have form controls on my worksheets. How do I hide them? When I hide the row, the controls stay there. These controls don't seem to have that visible property like the VB control.
I'm thinking of using a validation->list instead, but then you don't see the drop down arrow.

i was recently upgraded to Excel 2003 and have found that whenever i open more than one workbook, it opens in a new window on the taskbar (similar to opening another application)... I remember having this in my previous version of excel but i can't for the life of me remember how i switched this off?

I was wondering if this code is supposed to make the icon on the taskbar change to the custom icon as well?
If not, what would need to be added or changed to make it so?
It changes the Userform Icon without issue and adds the userform to the taskbar, but it is not updating the icon on the taskbar.

I have a workbook which will open another workbook on a server, but i see it on the open and close on the task bar. Because I have 4 pc's with the main workbook open as single applications and one book on the server which collects info everytime a button is pressed, I would like it not to show on the on the task bar, needs to be invisable, is there any way of this?
Also
Can i see if a workbook is open, regardless of which PC (out of 4), which may not be the one i am using. So a way to see if a workbook is open anywhere else?

I have developed an Excel 2003 program that hides Excel through Application.Visible = False. All that shows are the series of about 10 forms that the user utilizes to add, change, update and report on information. However, I want to be able to show these forms in the taskbar when they are activated, and remove them when they are exited. I know WHERE in the code to put this, but can't find the right control to activate. I know VB6 has the "Show in Taskbar" property; does Excel have something similar?

I have my Windows settings set up so that each file that I have open in Excel appear separately in my taskbar at the bottom of the screen. So for example, if I have 2 Excel files open, Excel appears in my taskbar twice instead of being grouped together.
I like to use this set up so that I know which file to click on when I'm working between multiple files. The problem is that on occasion, they will get out of order.
So let's say I have file A on the left and file B on the right. Then I save file A. After saving file A, now file B appears on the left and file A appears on the right. This also sometimes happens if I open a 3rd file.
Why does this happen and is there any way to prevent it?

I used to be able to see on the bottom bar that there are several Excel files that are opened. There would be a small black triangle next to the Excel button below. But now I need to do click the 'Window' button above to pull down the menu to access to other Excel files that are opened. This problem is only with Excel but not Word or Powerpoint? whenever the active cell is within a given range, highlight the cell on the same row in column S (by changing its interior colour). This should occur each time the active cell is changed, whether by cursor keys or mouse. The effect would be similar to the row and column highlights at left and top of the worksheet.
This action should be restricted to one sheet in the workbook.
It's for Excel 2003.

I have a list of names in coloum D of a worksheet called "Trial", I have another worksheets called "Usage" with this list. I need a macro which can search the name written in Trial worksheet in Usage and worksheet, and activate the found results in usage worksheet.
I cannot use vlookup formulae here as "trial" sheet only has last names, which "usage" sheet has full names.
