I am planning to use a userform to input various figures, and come up with a total.
How do I get the user form to display a figure as currency?
Also, how do I get the user form to display a figure as a date?
This is the user form:

All the labels and cells in the original file are in dollars.
When I send it to some computers it changes to euros, like so:

I created the file in Excel 2003, and it changes to euros in both Excel 2003 and 2007.
Step by step process to format back to dollars?
When I enter a number, say 2456 in this textbox why does it display "$2.45" instead of "$2,456". I've tried fiddling with the ###'s and .'s but it just gets worse.

What I am trying to do is display my output in currency format. The catch is that the values I am using are not from cells, they are from text boxes that are locked on a user form. The first text box is a base rate with a value of "$2000.00". Second comes a quantity text box with an integer value of let's say "3". Last comes a markup rate which is a text box with a rate of ".10". The calculation is fine, it although it returns "$6600" when it is critical that I display the two decimal places at the end. Here is my code for the calculation:

I have a userform that one textbox takes it's value from a cell in sheet3.(k2). The format of this cell is currency. How the textbox takes the same format as the cell?
In the same userform i have a series(prcase1,prcase2..) of textboxes that i want to have currency format as the user type numbers on these.

I have a userform where the user enters prices for up to 12 items in textbox controls, and these prices are stored in an array. The textboxes are titled tbPrice1, tbPrice2, etc. I'm having an issue with the line of code I am using to store the values in an array. Every time I attempt to store them, I get runtime error 13 type mismatch, but I don't understand why.

A little more explanation here. Not all 12 parts will have prices, so I use the IIf statement to store the value 0 whenever the user has left a price field blank. I use trim in case they leave spaces in the price textbox or something. When the field is not blank, I take the value entered in the textbox, convert it to currency and attempt to store it in the relevant element of the array.
I have options buttons in a userform, first is "$" the other is "€"
When somebody chooses one of them, it writes the choice to a cell in the data sheet. But when clicked on the next userform I want some of the texts automatically change the currency depending on the choice made in the previous userform.

I am a dummy in VBA so I really am not familiar at all if the solution is really one of VBA. I don't even know how to start programming VBA at all in Excel.
I've got a spreadsheet with several rows and the numbers within those rows are totalled up at the bottom. Is there a way where i can highlight the cell within the spreadsheet and it takes it off the accumulative total at the bottom? or something similar to this effect? I just don't want to have to remove figures from this spreadsheet and highlighting will be a good way of seeing what has been done

At the bottom I want to show the total of each currency separtely.
I learnt that " " & can combine the text and figure. However, when it comes to a negative numbers, i dont know how to maneouver it. Eg, Cell A1 is USD(50,000.00) and the comment in Cell B1 is Cost is USD(50,000.00). So the function in B1 = "Cost is "& what to put here?

In this sheet ( Sheet3) I have the column headings as Day, Month, Year, Date and Submitted By.

At the simplest level, I create a form and display it using userform1.show.
However, I've noticed from some tutorials that the " proper" way to do it is to create an instance of the form before trying to do anything with it i.e.

way to initialise a userform? Is there a pratical difference between the two syntaxs or in reality does it achieve the same goal?
Is there something special that I *should* do in the initialise event to allocate memory for the form?
Is it possible to display a Pdf file on a Userform or in a textbox etc. on said form?

I have a userform that simply filters data on a spreadsheet through checkboxes. The form is filtering columns (B through N) to shorten the list of possible outcomes (data in column A.) After the user is done with the form I'd like to populate the data in column A (the results from filtering and there is no way to pre-determine how many rows will have data) with the user pressing a button on the form, into something the user can see without going back to the spreadshet. I was thinking I could populate the results into some field on the form; maybe a list box, txt file, using the camera function in Excel?

View 13 Replies View RelatedDepending on the result of a formula in R67, one of three things will occur. If the result is a 1, UserForm1 is displayed. If the result is a 2, UserForm2 is displayed. If it is nothing, nothing happens. Ok, I can do that.
However, with the code below, whenever I select any cell, and there is a 1 or a 2 in R67, the userform pops up. I only want it to pop up if I change a value in C6 which in turn changes the result of the formula in R67.

I've put together a workbook that has 2 sheets that contain stock details and location info (i.e. part number, description, Location & stock level). I need to have a search function outside of the 'built-in' Ctrl+F (or Edit > Find) search function, i'd assume this would mean using VBA?I invisiage making a userform embedded within the very first sheet of the workbook and having this form be opened when accessing the worbook - maybe hide the other two sheets containing the data? Within the search userform, i would have a 'part number' & 'description' search input boxes for data input, either one could be blank but atleast ONE must be inputfor the search to work. On pressing the 'Search now' command button in the userform, any reults found would be displayed in a listbox at the bottom of the said userform. If no results found, a dialog box would pop-up saying 'No Items Matched"
