I've attached a sheet. In this sheet I would like to print the selection....C9:17 and BL9:BW17. I would like to print it onto a PDF and I would like to expand it so it is very visible. Actually, it doesn't need to be PDF. If I could just print this selection and make it visible that would work. I had a problem using print selection because the columns are separated. I also tried fit to page but that makes it too small.Mod's note: file attachment removed at OP's request
I seem to be getting myself into a complete muddle as was wondering if someone to help me with a Printing problem.
On the attached sample, i'm trying to write a macro to print the selection but only print where the status is "Active" to the ned of the selection. However, the spreadsheet is changing on a daily basis i.e. new lines being added and lines being taken off.
So, to take potential of user error out i wanted a macro to print the "active" selection.
i have a buttion on a whole heap of worksheets that is linked to this sub. I want it to print the range on one sheet of paper. though it will print over 4 sheets.
I tried recording a macro but I am keep on getting an error. I need a macro which will print the selection of A1:D28 on a worksheet called Invoice. The print needs to be scaled at 165% of its normal size. i need it to be normal margins and if possible any printer.
There's a macro I'm trying to figure out for a calendar I'm working on. Here's what it has to do.
1.) Selects the cells for the current month (I assume the user would have to click on the current month itself) plus the two upcoming months. i.e. November, plus December and January.
2.) Sets the selected cells as the area to print, then prints those cells.
If there's anything that might be a challenge, the numbers for the days are all text boxes, if that makes a difference. I've been experimenting with different formulas with no luck.
I need a macro to select the area within the blue invoice sheet box, so everything within the blue invoice sheet box is selected , and then the selection should be printed. I will have hundreds of these invoice slips made, right below each other, i was wondering once this is done, is there an easier way to to have each invoice selected, instead of making a custom button for each sheet ( which selects just that invoice , and prints that selection ).
( Column m through v, starting at row 2 stoping at row 68, is the selection required in this example, everythign within the blue box. ).
Is there are macro that will allow me to: Clear Print Area, then Set Print Area based on user selection and finally print the Print Area to fit 1 page? I tried to search for solutions, but couldn't find any that matched my problem.
I have a macro that copies my selected area on one workseet, for example B2:M120 on Sheet 1, over to A10 on sheet 2, then prints sheet 2 and then clears the data that was just added leaving sheet 2 as a "clean" template for next use.
Is it possible to add code to the print macro that would look at column G of my selected area and print all rows that had say "cat" in column G on one sheet, all rows with "dog" on another set of sheet 2's, and repeats until all rows of my original selection have been printed?
I thought maybe paste the whole selection then filter, hide unwanted rows, print, repeat but I can't figure out how to repeat and alternate what rows are hidden.
I'm open to any way of doing this, we currently do it by repeating the "select area" but as my real life use replaces "cat" and "dog" with a 9 digit number we are having issues with some rows getting skipped while others get doubled up.
I searched but didn't find exactly what I needed. I have a workbook with 31 sheets. It is a price guide with each category on a separate worksheet. I figured out how to list the sheets on a separate tab. What my client wants is the ability to:
1. select certain categories for printing, the ToC, Cover and backcover pages have to print in every case
2. the ToC has to change depending on the sheets selected.
I'd rather write some code and give him an an easy command button rather then teaching him how to select non-concurrent sheets and printing only active sheets.
What I'm really stuck on is the updating of the ToC with active sheets only (category and starting page which changes depending on pages selected).
If a user selects certain options from a drop down list created by cell verification (from list), is it possible to display an input box and have the resulting input populate on another worksheet in the workbook? I have an attendance template I'm working with and if a user selects OT (Over Time) then a input box is displayed prompting for how many hours. The overtime is then tracked on another worksheet.
All sheets are basically the same except some minor values, names and addresses. There is one page per sheet and all pages are in portrait format. The print preview shows all the pages in order but when I print it, it makes multiple print jobs of 1 to 2 pages each and prints them all out of order. I don't know why it is splitting up the workbook or why it changes the order. I print and reorder these weekly, which is a major pain. It comes out in the same order each time but it is the wrong order.
I am trying to have a file print in legal size if I have 56 lines filled in otherwise print in regular letter size. Does anyone know how to write this in VBA.
I've found some code which works to print certain pages with value in cell A1 but I need to print dynamic ranges on some of the sheets as they will have filters on so the rows ranges will be different each time.
So far this is what I have but the dynamic range part is not working:
VB: Sub Print_All_Worksheets_With_Value_In_A1() Dim Sh As Worksheet Dim Arr() As String Dim N As Integer
Since upgrading to Windows 2007 (I was already using Excel 2007) I am having issues with the content in the cells on the worksheet not appearing the same on Print Preview and when I print. On the worksheet the cell show to be at the best fit both horizontally and vertically. When I look at the contents under print preview, the contents are squashed from the top and cut off from the left. This happens whether I have the format in Top or Central align and is even worse if I use Bottom align. It is also somewhat worse if I have thickened boarders.
Using Excel 2010: I have 2 rows (A4:J4 & A5:J5) selected as print titles that I would like to be printed at the top of selected pages. Currently, my document is 3 pages long, and I would like to have the print titles only applied to the first 2 pages. More data will be added in the future on pages 1&2 but the last page (whatever page number it ends up being) should not contain the selected print titles.
I just converted from Excel 2003 to 2007 and print previewed a worksheet and find a tiny image with a small portion of the print area. When I look at the sheet in page break preview mode, I see the 8.5 x 11 sheet broken up into approx 77 smaller sheets. When I try to move the page breaks to include the whole sheet it states the change cannot be made as it will result in an image less than 10%. I have attached two images - the first shows the print preview I get, and the second show the multiple pages when I view in page break.
I tried very hard to design a leave roster for user to mark their leave application. The criteria are as follows:
1. 4 applications per date 2. a region of worksheet (i.e. "A2 to H20) will be defined for users to "click" on the cells (within the defined region) to mark their application. 3. once a cell is clicked (i.e. marked), it cannot be altered. 4. each click will automatically increase the total by 1.
I got the following code to deal with the situation but user can still click on any cell outside the region (in fact I fail to define the region).
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range) Dim m ad = Mid(ActiveCell.Address, 2, 1) m = Range(ad & 24).Value 'here a formula "CountA(A2,A20)" will be place in the cell (24, c).......................
I have attached a portion of an excel file I am using at the moment. What I require is a piece of VBA code which will allow me to copy selected data based on a combo box selection. What needs to happen is this :-
If the selection in the "Index" worksheet combo box related to "Month" in cell G19 is for instance "December", I would like the macro to compare this cell value to the cell values in cells C96, C124, C152, C180, C209, C236, C263 and C290 in the "Tech Services" worksheet and where the values match.......copy the commentary (Range C126:Z147 in December's case) to the range C34:Z55.
I am having trouble disabling the "Preview" button when calling Application.Dialogs(xldialogprint) in XL2003. I have an xlSheetVeryHidden worksheet containing a form which is made visible programatically when the user wishes to print a copy (code below). I want the user to be able to have access to the functionality of the xlDialogPrint dialog (i.e. select desired print destination, number of copies, pages per sheet etc.) but I also want to prevent them modifying the page setup of the protected worksheet by initiating a preview from the print dialog.
Private Sub btnPrintReturnForm_Click()
wbkRUSC.Unprotect sysPass 'unprotect workbook to enable changes to sheet visibility ' (sysPass is project constant string containing password)
shtStaffForm.Visible = xlSheetVisible 'make staff form visible
shtCalc.Visible = xlSheetVeryHidden 'hide main calculator in case user gets smart and hits..............................
I have a pretty large spreadsheet set up that invoices our clients. A few tabs in the front allow us to globally invoice if we did certain services for all clients and then we can also go into each tab and invoice each client for specific services performed on their property. Some invoices are two pages long and other may be up to seven pages long and anywhere in between... So that's the first issue, how do you find how many pages to print and then set the print range for each invoice.
The second issue centers around being able to print all the invoices at one time.
The spreadsheet is set up in this manner: A recap sheet we print to check off that each invoice was printed; an IIF statement to get the Excel info into QuickBooks; a template to set up each invoice's information with dates, dates services were performed, etc.; then there are five Global billing tabs where I can invoice all accounts globally or by their type of account (Saturday or Sunday open, 24/7 etc.); then we get into the tabs for each account. Each account has its own tab with an invoice loaded inside where we can itemize the services they received. Inside all these individual account tabs we have set up 'Zone' tabs where we can invoice all the clients we set up within a zone. There are about twenty of these tabs. Then at the end I have a few more tabs that aren't used any longer, there are about ten tabs there...
Is there a way I can hit Print and get all of my invoices to print out at one time versus having to go into each and every tab, set the print range, and then hit Print for all 250ish invoices?
This is the biggest complaint I have right now about the invoicing program I have set up...
I am trying to come up with a way to print out data that is variable in the amount of rows to print.
1. Cells C1 thru M6 is heading of report 2. Cells C7 thru M400 all have formulas and display information only when criteria in Column C in each row is met, if condition is not met it displays no informtion. (There lies my problem).
I need a way to print out only the area that information is displayed in and skip the areas that are not displayed. (Currently I have hard coded the print range using the largest report)
I have a "submit" button macro which user would click after he has finished his input. This macro would update a reference number on the worksheet named "orange" and then print out this worksheet.
My purpose is "orange" is printed out with a reference number.
I am working on a project where user has to select an item from a listbox, however there is a condition that if user select an item, other items of listbox should be disabled so that he/she can not select any other item.
I want to have a drop down list in a cell so that the value in the cell can be only selected from two columns of data. Additionally once the data from the first column has been selected I want to be able to limit the inputs the user can select from in the second column.
e.g. In cell C115 I want to have the value BDS05.
I want to be able to select the value BDS from a drop down list of values and once that value has been selected I want to be able select 05 from a list of values from 01 to 14 If I select BCS as the first value then I want the second set of values to be limited to 01 to 02 etc.
I have read about combo boxes and list boxes and I'm a bit confused about the best way to achieve this (or even if I can).
I want my worksheet to require validation of entry data before printing, so I decided to use the "Workbook_BeforePrint" event, and display a simple dialog box with an "ok" or a "cancel" button as input options.
The problem is that, as coded, "cancel" button does not cancel the print.
I have a spreadsheet with 28 visible tabs. When I select all tabs and print, I get 3 cover (or banner) pages...I like having the first banner page, but the other two are in the middle of my report. I assume excel is sending 3 print jobs and I'm not sure why.
I've seen a couple of posts regarding this issue when using VBA, but I'm not using VBA...just selecting all the sheets and sending a single print job, but get 3 banner pages.
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range) col = ActiveCell.Column Range("output") = ActiveCell.Offset(0, -(col - 4)).Value End Sub
In case it's not obvious, the macro places the value in the active row and 4th column of the worksheet into the range "output". The problem is, the worksheet is large and somewhat slow to recalculate. This macro forces a recalc on any selection change, but i only need it to run when the row selection changes, not the column. I'm sure there's a straightforward way to reprogram this.
I'm trying to build an investment calculator. Tried searching "calculator" as keyword but return nothing similiar.
There are eight cell : [ A ][ B ][ C ][ D ][ E ][ F ][ G ][h]
[ H ] is price of the leverage
[A] is X balance [b] is X lot size [C] is X amount of money use to get x lot [D] is X percentage of money use to get x lot [E] is X point gain [f] is X money gain [G] is balance + money gain
Ignore the formulae for leverage to determine 1 lot price. Take 1 lot = 250.
What I'm looking for is when I enter any value at cell B, C or D, it will automatically calculate the value for either B, C or D cell.
Let say, the balance is 10000.
If I enter 2 at cell B. Then, it will calculate the value for cell C & D.
If I enter 750 at cell C, then it will calculate value for cell B & D.
If I enter 25 at cell D, it will calculate value for cell B & C.
