See attcahed code. I need to add a line to the code so date picked by the user needs to be both weekday and not a day in the past.
e.i today : 20/06/2006
if user pick a date before today or a weekend date pivot table does not update.

I have this concept of a table of responses that have to be generated every month or on command. These reports export from a website into a certain format, its easy for me to adjust it so it can populate a the table. Although, i want to incorparate my date picker so everytime i pick a certain date a diffrent set of data will populate from the report. it seems very possible, just need to know where to go from. Either a VBA code or a fomula to allow for this to happen.
Heres and example..(cell linked to date picker)........column1 column2 column3,(date picker from microsoft),,each has a corresponding month
.....................................................................jan
.....................................................................feb
.....................................................................etc.
say i pick january, i want these columns to give me my data from a sheet or other workbook(the january report). i want everything linked so it will do this for virtually every month of the year. ive attached an example, the only thing i can think of is to make the cell that changes with when i pick a date to link to the report criteria.

I have this code below, which someone from this forum kindly kindly gave to me for my Worksheet code. What it does is check the value in a dropdown list in column I and if it says "Cancelled" then strikethrough columns A-K of that row.
What I wanted to know is this, in cell N2 has the formula to show todays date. In column D9 onwards is an end date. How can I amend the code below so that it also checks to see if the date in Column D9 onwards is greater than N2 and if so strikethrough columns A-K in that row?
Would it be in the form of an OR statement in the code below?

I have inherited a spreadsheet that I need to update soon. It takes data that has a date field and creates a pivot table by month. The person who created it completed it thru February. Now I have added data for March and April, but the pivot tables can not find this new data and I suspect it is because of the date formatting (I have done the Change Data Source under PivotTable Options to include all the new data).
The reason I suspect the date format is that she built a button to run a macro named "dateformat", which is not in the workbook. I have tired to manually format the date using the format painter from the February dates that the pibvot table recognizes, but I still get no results.

I have a list of clients that have specific requests waiting to be actioned, with a number of columns relating to client details and the status of the request across the top of the sheet. One of the columns (D) is "Last Contact Date", where I enter in the date that I last followed up with the client or made contact regarding their request. In the next column (E), I want the weekday/workday date 1 month after the Last Contact Date.
I can use "=D2+DAY(30)" to give me the date 30 days later, or "=DATE(YEAR(D2),MONTH(D2)+1,DAY(D2))" to get one month later, however what I want is the nearest WORKDAY after this date.
So, if the date is on a weekend, I need the Monday date instead.

I need to create a formula that states a delivery date when the order date is entered in an adjacent column. Items ordered on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be delivered the Friday of the following week, eg. ordered 23rd April 2008, delivered on the 2nd of May 2008. Items ordered on Thursday or Friday will be delivered on a Friday 2 weeks later, eg. ordered on the 24th April, delivered on the 9th of May 2008

I'm trying to do an IF function involving the date. Basically if the current day is a weekday then I want the cell value to be 30. If the current date is a weekend then I want the cell value to be 50. I'm pretty lost on how to write the formula.

I am looking for excel to return a day from a date value, 14/07/07 = Saturday. Need this in VB ?
I have tried the DATE() and TODAY() etc.. Do i need to first tell excel a day by date so it can work it out, or can i do it in code???
The reason is im looking for it in VB to generate a report on a weeks data, which is inputted by a user. I will know the first date will be a range 1, but then need to convert it into a Day name ?

The code is ok until I hit a month with 4weeks in it and days left over.
The code puts a week total in place of a Sunday, but as some months end before a Sunday appears the code just builds a Month end total sheet.
What I need in this case is a Week total even if there is no Sunday before it builds the Month end Total.

I used a formula I found on this site to find the last friday in a month. = DATE(" & Str(iYear) & ",1+1,0)+MOD(-WEEKDAY(DATE(" & Str(iYear) & ",1+1,0),2)-2,-7)
Is there an equivelant date function that can be used when coding in vb (not within a cell.) The VBA editor does not recognize this. I believe it is because date is reserved for variables. If anyone can make this line of code work in vb so as I dont have to asign it to a cell in a worksheet you would be my hero.

The D column is a date (formatted ddd d/m/yy) and the F column contains a string variable such as Red, Blue, Black (D2:D310 & H2:H310). I need a formula that can count how many times the word "Red" occurs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. I am showing the results in a table in which Q4:Q8 are the weekdays and R3:W3 are the names of the colours to be counted.

My spreadsheet opens. Cell A1 determines what today is, formatted as "weekday, day month year" (e.g., "Tuesday, 18 February 2014").
I have another cell in which I typically enter the date for the coming Friday. Instead of updating this field once each week, I'd like to calculate the date for the next coming Friday based off the value in cell A1 (to be concise, if "today" happens to be a Friday, then it would calculate the date of next Friday). (Continuing the example above, the coming Friday would be computed as 2/21/2014. If I open the spreadsheet on 2/21, it would calculate 2/28.)
What formula or step(s) to follow to render this value automatically?

I need a function where for a given date will return the date of a specified weekday in the previous week.
Example: If today is Friday Sept. 25th 2009 and I want to find the date of
the Wednesday in the previous week I would need something

M7 is a date entered by the user, This formula is in N7.

I need the formula to determine that and add the appropriate # to bring it back to that monday.
For example, person enters 16 Aug 07 (Thursday) it needs to add 4 days to bring it back to display 20 Aug 07.
I think I would run out of IF statements for this formula.

I borrowed some of the formula to help rectify my problem, however I need to add certain # of days depending on what day of the week it is. Here is what I have so far.

I am trying to create a function that will tell me when something is past due.
I have a excel document for my office's accounts payable, it has a master sheet where all of the companies that we pay are listed, and they are linked so that you can click on the name and it will take you right to the page to see a more detailed breakdown.
I am trying to figure out how to make something on the master page to tell me when something is due, even if it just makes an X when it is past due.
There are about 73 worksheets in this document and each worksheet contains many dates.
Is this even possible for me to do something like this? If not does anyone have any suggestions?

I want to create an Excel file, which would create alerts/reminders based on dates specified in certain cells. I want to create a database of various events (for ex. Invested in XYZ stock at $10 per share) and put a date in one of the column of each record. I want excel to remind me to take a look at that record after, say, 30 days.

I have a workbook that records incoming mail and each of these mail need to be responded to. I like to have a macro that can automatically send a standard notification email when certain condition are met.
In this workbook the date of receipt of mail is in Col. D and date of Reply in Col. E.
If Col E is blank or 30 days later than Col. D a standard email is sent to the email account of the person in Col. F. Col. F shows the email address only.

I have a workbook list of activities that I am hoping will visualise the scheduling of routine maintenance tasks in my engineering department. The date of the most recent check is entered in row 6 and the interval in row 5. Hence the number 7 denotes a weekly check. The conditional format is such that the reds indicate that a check needs to be carried out. If the check is done on the scheduled day then a "Y" is entered into the square. This will then turn the square green. If "Y" is entered on any other day then the square turns orange to indicate the check is done, if not on time. The red squares do not change colour unless a yes is entered. This is designed to show the history of checks and give us the opportunity to show compliance to routines. What I need to do is lock the rows that have passed the current date, to prevent unscupulous modification. Thus the macro would look down column A and if the date is less than today() would lock the row. I have truncated the file as much as I can. A nice to have would be the facility for an adminstrator to go in (perhaps password protected) to make changes if necessary.

I need a macro that will find a row on "Sheet4" that has the word "YES" in column "K" and then varify that there is a balance owed (<$0.00) in column "N" of that same row. If there is a balance owed I need the macro to copy the data from that row into a specific place on "Sheet2" (Column "C" to E10 on the new sheet, D to E11, Q to E12, R to M12, S to T12, G to Y26, H to AF29, M to AF30, N to AF32, and lastly the current date to AC10) then Copy that sheet to a new workbook then rename the copied sheet the the Value of "E10" on that sheet and then clear the data on "Sheet2" so that only the information that was on the sheet before the data transfer is left, If there is no balance owed then it continues down column "K" on it's own to check the next one until it reaches the end of the data in "sheet4" (which is row 2111).
My goal is to be able to use this Macro to sift through a list of customers and to find ones that are past due on their bill (Based of of Column "K" which states that Yes the Bill is past due, and then variefies that it hasn't already been paid by checking the Balance Due Column "N") and then transfers their customer information to an invoice and then moves the invoice to a New workbook (So as to not clutter up my already to large Customer workbook)
This is the code that I have been playing with but i'm getting stuck on how exactlly to do this so i'm sure theres a lot in there that doesn't make any sense.

creating a VBA that will scan my entire sheet and any cell with a date before todays date, the entire row will be copied and pasted to another sheet. and it should search every cell in sheet 1 and paste all rows with dates in the past. if there is more then one cell in a row with the date in the past, that row will copied only once.

I currently have a sheet that shows monthly tasks and their due dates. There is also a control that when clicked, resets the due date to the following month of the same day.
What I would like to do is setup some type of reminder such as either flash the due date cell if possible or change the fill color. It should do this when the system date is = to or 4 days before the due date.
The only way I can see doing this is using VBA, which I do not know very well.
